The aim of this Programme is to enable/acquire understanding of Urdu language and literature beyond Certificate level. It also provides knowledge of the art of creative writing, technique of translation, editing and publishing etc. The objectives of this Programme are also to provide a historical background of Urdu language and literature and comprehension capability of Urdu prose and poetry.
Eligibility: 10th Pass with Urdu as one of the subjects or its equivalent or Certificate in Urdu Language from IGNOU.
Medium of Instruction: Urdu
Duration: Minimum 1 year and Maximum 3 years; offered in both January & July cycle of admissions.
