The M.Com Cut-Off Is 15 March, Not 30 April

Three live M.Com booklets were opened for this page and all three print the same pair of dates, and that pair is not the one the commerce internet repeats.

Read the wording rather than the numbers and a second difference appears. The M.Com booklets do not date your work by the cycle you were admitted in. They date it by the examination you intend to sit: if you are planning to appear in the June term-end examination you submit by 15 March, and if you are planning to appear in the December one you submit by 15 October. That is an examination-anchored pair. The School of Management Studies convention most search results repeat for its sister programme, where a July admission submits by 31 October and a January admission by 30 April, is an admission-anchored pair. The two systems answer different questions, and on M.Com it is the first one printed on the paper.

The practical consequence is a full seven months. A learner admitted in July 2026 who reads an MBA page, assumes 31 October, and plans backwards from it will discover that the M.Com file governing their own code asked for 15 October if they were sitting December, or 15 March if they were sitting June. Neither figure is 31 October. The MBA handwritten assignment page on this site carries the management-programme pair correctly for the MBA and is the wrong page to plan an M.Com submission from.

The booklets attach a validity window to the same session, separately from the deadline, and the two are easy to confuse. The 2026 files state that the assignments are valid for two admission cycles, January 2026 and July 2026, that a January 2026 enrolment holds them until December 2026, and that a July 2026 enrolment holds them until June 2027. That window tells you when the questions stop being the right questions. The 15 March and 15 October pair tells you when the pages must reach a counter. A booklet can still be inside its validity window and long past its submission date.

Miss both and the file is explicit about the remedy: if you are not able to submit during the stated period, you are required to submit the new assignment. Not the old one late. The next cycle’s paper, under the same course code. Every one of the three booklets also repeats that submitting the assignments on schedule is compulsory in order to be eligible to appear in the term-end examination, which is what turns a commerce assignment from a scoring exercise into an entry gate.

Dates move within a cycle and by Regional Centre, and IGNOU has extended them before, so confirm the operative one on ignou.ac.in and with your own Regional Centre before planning any writing. The only genuine urgency for an M.Com learner is the date printed in their own file and any extension their own centre has issued. Nothing on this page is time-limited by ignouproject.com.

Thirty Marks Settled at a Counter, Months Before the Hall

Assignments carry 30 per cent of the final course result and the term-end examination carries the remaining 70 per cent. The 2026 M.Com booklets state that share in their own words, once per file, directly under the instruction that one Tutor Marked Assignment exists for each course. On a fifteen-code programme that 30 per cent is collected fourteen times, because MCOP-001 is six credits of project work and carries no question paper behind it.

Each M.Com paper is a flat 100 marks, and the three booklets read for this page divide those 100 marks three different ways. MCO-01 runs four ten-mark questions followed by three blocks of four sub-questions at five marks each, which is 10, 10, 10, 10, 20, 20 and 20. MCO-03 runs two questions split ten plus ten, then three blocks of four at five, which is 20, 20, 20, 20 and 20 across five questions. MCO-21 runs a single twenty-mark question, three questions split ten plus ten, and a closing twenty-mark question. Three files, one programme, one session, three shapes.

What none of the three prints is a word limit. There is no per-question word count anywhere in the M.Com files, which separates them from booklets in several other IGNOU schools that print 350 or 550 words against a question and expect it followed. The 150-to-200 and 300-to-350 convention circulating on generic assignment pages is not printed on any M.Com paper, and writing an M.Com answer to it is a guess dressed as a rule. The mark value is the only length signal the university gives you here, so a twenty-mark answer earns roughly twice the treatment of a ten-mark one and the judgement is yours.

A Solved File and a Written Bundle Are Not the Same Purchase

Two requests reach WhatsApp in almost identical words and only one of them ends up being handed across a counter, so each is defined here before either is weighed against the other.

A solved assignment is a soft-copy reference file of model answers for one course code and one session, downloaded and read against the study blocks while you compose your own version. A handwritten assignment is the physical object IGNOU actually collects: those answers set down by hand across sheets, tied per course code, and given in at the Study Centre counter the M.Com booklet names. The first is preparation. The second is the submission. Printing the first has never converted it into the second.

On commerce the distance between them is wider than the prices suggest, because of what the M.Com papers ask for. MCO-03 wants Spearman’s rank correlation, the Chi-Square test for independence and goodness of fit, the components of a time series and the distinction between Type-I and Type-II error written out. MCO-21 wants the law of variable proportions analysed for short-run production and perfect competition compared against monopoly on price, output and profit. MCO-01 wants Theory X and Theory Y treated as dialectically opposite assumptions. Those answers carry derivations, named models and comparative structure inside them, and copying one off a screen without following its argument produces a legible bundle that still reads as unlearned to a counsellor marking against the blocks IGNOU sent you.

Nothing in the M.Com files licenses a printout. Every one of the three booklets instructs that you have to do one Tutor Marked Assignment for each course and to read the instructions in the Programme Guide before attempting them, and IGNOU collects that work as written pages. If a reference file is what you actually came for, the library of IGNOU solved assignments arranged by programme and course code is where it lives, and neither product replaces the commerce blocks already sitting in your account.

What ₹320 Settles on a Commerce Paper, and What It Will Not

Twelve statements before a single MCO number reaches this rate. The first six are where an M.Com submission goes wrong. The last six are limits this page declines to soften for anyone.

Every MCO and IBO Code on an M.Com Record, With Credits That Add to Eighty

MCOM is the programme code on your admission record. The course codes beneath it come from three prefixes rather than one: MCO on the eleven commerce papers, IBO on three papers shared with a post graduate diploma, and MCOP on the project. Section 3.1 of the IGNOU Common Prospectus for July 2026 places the programme in the School of Management Studies, records eligibility as any graduate or equivalent from a recognised university, records the medium of instruction as English and Hindi, sets two years minimum against four years maximum, prices it at ₹10,200 per year for a total of ₹20,400, and examines it semester wise across the January and July cycles.

The credit column below was added rather than trusted. Twenty-two credits in the first semester and eighteen in the second gives forty, which matches the prospectus sentence describing each year as forty credits of courses. Twenty-two in the third and eighteen in the fourth gives another forty. Forty and forty reaches the eighty the same page states as the total. The arithmetic holds in both directions, which is worth knowing on a document where the code formatting does not.

Twenty-two credits then eighteen, and a padding convention that changes twice inside eight rows. Titles are reproduced exactly as the prospectus prints them, including its spelling of Organization and Behavior with a z and no u, which is not how the same document spells those words elsewhere.

The second-year codes are reproduced with the exact spacing the prospectus uses, hyphens and gaps included, because that spacing is itself one of the things a learner has to navigate. IBO with a hyphen then a space then 02. MCO then a space then a hyphen then 015. MCOP then a space and no hyphen at all. Three rows, three different treatments, one table.

Both second-year semesters are headed Core and Specialization Course in the prospectus, so nothing in the M.Com table is optional in the way an elective basket is optional. Every learner meets all fifteen codes. That makes M.Com unusual among the postgraduate programmes covered on this site: two learners in the same semester hold the same list, and the only variable is which of them they are still short of. Three of Your Papers Belong to a Diploma as Well

IBO-01, IBO-02 and IBO-06 are eighteen of your eighty credits, and all three are also courses in the Post Graduate Diploma in International Business Operations. Section 8.5 of the same prospectus lists that diploma as thirty-six credits over six courses and gives titles that match your three exactly: International Business Environment, International Marketing Management and International Business Finance. The prospectus states that the diploma continues to be on offer as a stand-alone programme alongside the M.Com.

What that means at a counter is that a second-year M.Com learner and a diploma learner sit the same three Tutor Marked Assignments, and the thing separating their bundles is the programme code each writes on the cover sheet. IGNOU files the term-end question papers for both under one folder named for the diploma and the M.Com together, which is a useful place to search and a dangerous place to assume. Write your own programme code deliberately.

There is also an exit that most M.Com pages omit. The prospectus states that after successfully completing the first two semesters, which is forty credits, an exit option may be provided on the learner’s specific request only, resulting in the award of a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Studies. On request only, not automatically, and only after both of the first two semesters are complete, which means all eight of those assignments.

Your registration confirmation outranks every code list published anywhere, and that includes the tables above. Programme structures, course codes, submission dates and rules change, and only ignou.ac.in and your Regional Centre can confirm the current position for your enrolment. What Happens Between Your Code List and the Courier

This is the sequence an M.Com order moves through. It is deliberately unglamorous, and two of its five steps exist only because the M.Com files disagree with each other about how a code and a date should be written.

1. Each code is resolved to the file that carries it. Your list is matched against the fifteen codes in section 3.1, MCOP-001 is set aside with a note rather than priced, and every remaining code is traced to its live 2026 file on IGNOU’s own server. Padding is resolved in both directions, so MCO-021, MCO-21 and MCO 21 all reach the same paper. The figure quoted back to you counts live papers rather than typed codes, which on a full M.Com list means fourteen and not fifteen.
2. The assignment code string is copied off that file, character by character. Because two separator forms are in live use for the same session, the string that heads your pages is transcribed from your own paper rather than assembled from a pattern. A bundle carrying a plausible but invented code string is a small error that sits at the top of every page.
3. The examination you are sitting fixes the cut-off in the plan. June means 15 March and December means 15 October, and the plan is built backwards from whichever of those two your own file names, not from the admission cycle you enrolled in. If your Regional Centre has issued an extension, that figure replaces the printed one and you are told which is being worked to.
4. Answers are proportioned to the printed marks, since no word limit exists. A twenty-mark question is treated as roughly twice the work of a ten-mark one, and a block of four sub-questions at five marks each is written as four separate short answers rather than one continuous run. Numbering follows the paper exactly, including the MCO-01 file’s second Q.5.
5. Blue or black on A4, tied per code, cover sheet left blank. One side of each sheet, red and green left to the evaluator, key terms underlined once, a clear channel down the left edge for comments, pages numbered through, and any table or diagram drawn by hand rather than pasted in. Each code travels as its own bundle with its cover sheet on top and deliberately unfilled, because signing it is yours to do. Keeping One Hand Across Fourteen Commerce Bundles

Send a photo of a page you have written yourself and the handwritten set is matched to your handwriting at no extra charge. One page of ordinary writing, photographed flat in daylight, carries enough of the slant, the letter heights and the joins you make without thinking to sustain a whole semester of answers.

The argument for it on M.Com is arithmetic. Fourteen bundles reach a single Study Centre against one enrolment number, across a registration that can run to four years, and MCOP-001 keeps that record open after the taught papers are done. A learner who handed in the first semester in their own hand and the third in a visibly different one has left an inconsistency in a file that outlasts the course. There is a second reason particular to commerce: several M.Com answers carry worked figures, ledger layouts and comparison tables, and a set produced in one hand keeps those consistent in a way that four different writers would not. The photograph is used for the order it belongs to and discarded with it.

Two Calculators Built for the M.Com Date Problem

Neither utility leaves the browser tab it opens in and neither keeps anything after you close it. The first exists because the M.Com cut-off is set by the examination you are sitting rather than the cycle you joined, which is the single most commonly reversed fact about this programme. The second exists because an M.Com code tells you nothing about its semester, its credits or its assignment-code form until somebody looks it up in three documents at once.

Pulling an M.Com Paper Off IGNOU’s Own Server

IGNOU charges nothing for its question papers and IGNOU is where yours should come from, whoever ends up filling the sheets. The M.Com files sit in the School of Management Studies assignment directory and are named by course code and year, which makes them findable and also makes them easy to guess wrongly.

1. Start at the university’s own download service. Open the IGNOU assignment download service, or go to the assignment portal and choose the Master’s Degree listing. Never key in a PDF address you half-remember, and open the cover page of anything a study-help site hands you before you trust a word of it.
2. Search the course code in both paddings. An M.Com file may be published under the two-digit form even where the prospectus uses three, which is exactly what happened with the Managerial Economics paper. If one spelling returns nothing, try the other before concluding the paper does not exist.
3. Read the cover before the questions. The first page names the semester, the school and the admission cycles the file covers. A 2026 M.Com booklet states that it serves both the January 2026 and July 2026 cycles, which is why the same file can be correct for two learners admitted six months apart.
4. Copy the assignment code string exactly. It sits directly under the course title on the Tutor Marked Assignment page, and on M.Com it is the line most often reproduced wrongly elsewhere. Whatever separator your file prints, that is the one that goes on your pages.

Checking Whether Your M.Com Bundle Was Actually Recorded

The counter is a checkpoint rather than a finish line. Get the submission acknowledged in writing and keep a photocopy of the pages, because a bundle that never reaches the Student Evaluation Division looks identical on your record to one you never wrote.

The figure moves in three stages: the Study Centre records receipt, the counsellor’s award travels up to the Student Evaluation Division, and only then does a number attach itself to that course code. Receipt and score sit on different screens and answer different questions, so follow the first through the assignment marks status lookup and the second through the assignment grade card explainer, with the grade card status page for a code that refuses to appear and the final grade card guide once both halves are posted. Each of those lookups opens by asking for the identifier explained on the enrolment number page.

An M.Com course showing as incomplete usually means one component is missing rather than failed, and on this programme the missing component is frequently a second-year IBO paper, because those three sit under a shared folder and are the ones learners most often assume somebody else has recorded. Once a course carries both its assignment mark and its examination mark, the percentage calculator and the CGPA calculator turn the pair into a figure you can read. What Else Sits on an M.Com Order Beside the Assignments

An assignment order is rarely the only line in a message from a commerce learner, because the handwritten set covers thirty marks and the other seventy arrives from a hall four months later.

• The seventy per cent a bundle cannot reach. The term-end script carries the larger share, so unit-wise study notes and the guess paper collection repay attention faster than any bundle does, with the help book range and the online guide books compressing the commerce blocks into something revisable before June or December.
• MCOP-001, which is an entirely different order. Six credits of project work written up as a report runs through the synopsis and proposal service and the project and dissertation service, priced on the list of services and charges rather than at the ₹320 assignment rate.

Medium, session, and the point at which an M.Com paper stops counting. The service covers all mediums IGNOU issues the TMA paper in, at the same price. The July 2026 Common Prospectus records the M.Com medium of instruction as English and Hindi, and IGNOU publishes the M.Com booklets in both, so that clause resolves to a genuine choice on this programme rather than a formality. Name the year printed on your own cover and the answers are written against the questions belonging to it.

How an M.Com Order Actually Gets Placed

There is no form on this page, no account and no login. The exchange runs over WhatsApp on +91 93546 37830, and the job is not done when the courier hands the parcel across. It is done when a stamped receipt is in your hand.

1. Message the number with your codes. The MCO, IBO or MCOP codes exactly as your registration confirmation spells them, and the term-end examination you intend to sit.
2. Your files and your total come back. Each code is matched to its live 2026 file, MCOP-001 is named and removed, the assignment string is read off the paper, the total is confirmed at ₹320 per subject, and delivery for your pin code is confirmed before you pay.
3. The bound set arrives. Every code comes tied on its own with the cover sheet on top and deliberately unfilled. Completing the enrolment rows and signing beneath them is left to you, because that declaration speaks about whose understanding the pages hold.

Four lines are worth putting in that first message. The course codes, copied rather than recalled, with the padding your record uses. The examination you are sitting, June or December, since on M.Com that and not your admission month is what fixes the cut-off. The medium, English or Hindi, which on this programme is a real fork. And a handwriting sample, one photographed page, if you want the set matched, which costs nothing. Add your pin code and anything your Study Centre insists on, such as the question paper stapled in front, and the order is complete.
