Quick answer. An IGNOU BAM guess paper is a publisher’s revision set of recurring questions with model answers for one Bachelor of Arts (Multidisciplinary) course code, such as BHIC-131 or BSOC-131, and for the December 2026 term-end examination the BAM papers run from 25 November 2026 (BANC-133) to 13 January 2027 (BEVAE-181), per IGNOU’s tentative date sheet printed on 21 September 2026. Most BAM discipline papers are 3 hours and 100 marks with any five of eight questions at 20 marks each, while BEVAE-181 is 50 one-mark MCQs in 2 hours. Each BAM code is priced at ₹49 for the PDF or ₹100 for a printed copy; a printed order adds a single ₹100 courier charge, and your medium is agreed on WhatsApp first. No one outside IGNOU knows the questions in advance.
BAM December 2026 Exam Dates: 25 November to 13 January
The BAM papers of the December 2026 term-end examination (TEE) start on Wednesday 25 November 2026 with BANC-133 and end on Wednesday 13 January 2027 with BEVAE-181, according to IGNOU’s tentative date sheet printed on 21 September 2026. That sheet replaced an earlier version, and IGNOU now accepts discrepancy reports at datesheet@ignou.ac.in until 25 September 2026. Tentative means the dates can still move, so the hall ticket is the final word.
Tentative sheet · printed 21 September 2026
Two things on this sheet catch BAM learners. Third-year codes such as BHDC-133, BHDC-134, BMTE-141 and BMTE-144 fall on 9, 11 and 12 January 2027, well after the “December” label. And BEVAE-181, which every BAM learner sits in the second semester, closes the whole cycle. The morning slot is 10 AM to 1 PM and the evening slot 2 PM to 5 PM; the two IGNOU exam slots explained covers reporting time. Every BAM date is also searchable on the December 2026 date sheet finder, and the exam centre guide explains how the centre is allotted. No BAM paper can be sat without the December 2026 exam form and its fee; the IGNOU exam fee guide lists the per-course charge.
Why the Three-Hour BAM Paper Carries 70 Per Cent of Each Course
For a BAM course, the term-end paper is worth 70 per cent of the final result and the assignment 30 per cent, as the 2025-26 BHIC-131 assignment booklet for BAG and BAM learners states on its first page. The term-end examination carries 70 per cent of the final course result and assignments carry the remaining 30 per cent. The BHIC-131, BSOC-131 and BPSC-101 papers reviewed do not print a weightage line, so the booklet is the document to rely on.
A 6-credit BAM discipline course therefore turns on one sitting of 180 minutes. An assignment grade can steady a result; it cannot rescue a weak script. The IGNOU percentage calculator shows how the two parts combine. This guide does not state a pass mark, because the documents reviewed for BAM do not print one.
Guess Paper, Old IGNOU Paper or Solved Paper for a BAM Code
A guess paper is a revision set of important and recurring questions for one course code, such as BHIC-131, with model answers, prepared by a publisher from past IGNOU papers and the syllabus; the same kind of set is sold as “important questions”, “expected questions” or a “model paper”.
A previous year question paper is the actual paper IGNOU set in an earlier term-end examination, such as the December 2025 BSOC-131 paper, free on IGNOU’s own archive. A solved question paper takes that real IGNOU paper and adds a publisher’s model answers.

Start with IGNOU’s own papers, which cost nothing. Answered versions of many past papers are on the IGNOU solved question papers page. For BAM the format point matters: a solved December 2021 BSOC-131 paper trains you to pick two questions from each section, a rule IGNOU stopped using for BSOC-131 by June 2023.
Code-exact. One set per BAM code, from BANC-131 to BUDC-134.
Section-aware. BHIC-131 and BPSC-101 sets respect the two-from-each-section rule.
Unsectioned where IGNOU is. BSOC-131 sets follow the any-five pattern of 2023 to 2025.
MCQ drill for BEVAE-181. One-mark items grouped by the blocks the papers open with.
Short notes counted. Two 10-mark notes per BHIC-131 half, written at 200 words.
Two-part notes for BPSC-101. Both parts are compulsory, so both are answered.
Word targets from the paper. About 400 words per full answer, as IGNOU prints.
English or Hindi. In the medium IGNOU examines your code in.
Any discipline mix. History with Sociology, or Hindi with Economics.
Backlog codes too. Second-year and third-year codes are covered.
PDF or printed. Same content, two formats.
No accuracy claim. Themes are counted, never promised.

BAM has 14 disciplines and each has four 6-credit codes, so 56 discipline codes exist, and a learner takes three disciplines, one from each of three different groups. The July 2026 Common Prospectus (section 4.1) sets out the groups and the 120-credit structure: 72 credits of discipline courses, 12 vocational, 8 ability enhancement, 6 interdisciplinary, 16 skill enhancement and 6 value-added, which adds up to 120. The IGNOU prospectus guide explains where to find that document.
The 56 BAM Discipline Codes and Their December 2026 Dates
The semester column shows when a code is normally studied, which depends on whether the discipline is your first, second or third choice. Dates and slots come from IGNOU’s tentative December 2026 sheet; the slot is read from the column each code sits in on IGNOU’s PDF, so confirm it on your hall ticket.

BDIG-171, Introduction to Migration and Diaspora, is listed in the prospectus but does not appear on the tentative December 2026 sheet. Four BAM Paper Formats Side by Side
The December 2025 BHIC-131 paper is 3 hours and 100 marks, with eight questions in two sections of four, of which a learner answers any five in about 400 words each, at least two from each section; questions 4 and 8 ask for short notes on any two of four topics at 10 marks each.
| Code | Latest IGNOU paper | Time and marks | Attempt rule | Short notes or compulsory parts | Medium on the paper |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| BHIC-131 | December 2025 | 3 hours, 100 marks | Any five of eight, at least two from each of two sections, 20 marks each | Q4 and Q8: any two of four notes, 10+10, about 200 words each | English and Hindi in one file |
| BSOC-131 | December 2025 | 3 hours, 100 marks | Any five of eight, no sections, 20 marks each | Q8: any two of four notes, 10+10 | English and Hindi in one file |
| BPSC-101 | June 2025 | 3 hours, 100 marks | Five in all, at least two from each of two sections, 20 marks each | Q4 and Q8: two notes, both compulsory, about 200 words each | English and Hindi in one file |
| BEVAE-181 | December 2025 | 2 hours, 50 marks | All 50 questions compulsory, one mark each, marked on OMR | Four options; write 0 if none is correct | English and Hindi in one file |
BEVAE-181, the Environmental Studies course every BAM learner takes, is an objective paper: the December 2025 BEVAE-181 paper prints 50 questions of one mark each in 2 hours, answered on an OMR sheet, and IGNOU’s December 2026 date sheet lists BEVAE181 among the MCQ and OMR pattern courses. No negative-marking line is printed on that paper.
A pre-exam checklist for any BAM discipline paper: check whether your code is sectioned; count how many short-note questions carry 10+10; budget about 34 minutes per 20-mark answer; keep 200 words for each note; and for BEVAE-181, carry a pen suited to OMR marking.
Papers Printed BAG or BAPSH: The BAM Naming Trap
No BAM paper reviewed here prints “BAM” on its cover. The BHIC-131 and BSOC-131 papers from June 2023 to December 2025 are headed B.A. (General), BAG; the BPSC-101 papers are headed B.A. (Honours) Political Science, BAPSH; and BEVAE-181 names BA, B.Com, B.Sc and BAVMSME. BAM shares these codes with those programmes, so the paper is the same paper. The same sharing explains why old BAG material circulates as “BAM” material, and why the Political Science, Public Administration and Economics codes in BAM carry honours-series numbers (BPSC-101, BPAC-101, BECC-101). The BAG programme overview covers the older degree.
Two more naming slips are common. BAM is Bachelor of Arts (Multidisciplinary), not a business or management degree, and not BAMS, the Ayurveda degree. And the codes BAM-001 to BAM-006 on the date sheet belong to the Diploma in Agricultural Cost Management, not to this BA.
Where IGNOU’s own documents disagree. The prospectus semester table lists BPYG-171 as a Philosophy interdisciplinary option, while its course list gives BPYI-101 (Applied Ethics); both codes are on the December 2026 sheet. BHIE-143 and BSOG-173 appear in the semester table but not in the course list. The same code is printed “BFDI73” and “BFDI073”, and “ONR2” and “ONR 02”. The list says it covers semesters one to four, yet includes all six. The June 2024 BHIC-131 paper titles the course “From the Earlier Times”, and the June 2024 BPSC-101 paper prints “Michael Foucault” where the June 2023 paper prints “Michel”.
An in-house problem too: some older pages on this site still describe guess paper sets with a fixed question count or with wording this guide does not use. Those pages are being corrected; rely on the current code list above.
What BHIC-131, BSOC-131, BPSC-101 and BEVAE-181 Actually Asked
Feminist political theory and conservatism each appeared in all four BPSC-101 papers from June 2023 to June 2025, and Alexander’s invasion appeared in all four BHIC-131 papers from June 2023 to December 2025. Those are the strongest repeats in the BAM papers reviewed; most other themes returned twice in four sessions.

Alexander is the one theme that has not missed a session, but the angle shifts: a plain description in June 2024, the long-term impact in June 2025 and December 2025. The Mauryan question alternates between “was it an empire” and “how was it administered”. Four sessions is a short run, so a two-of-four theme is a revision priority, not a forecast.
BSOC-131 Introduction to Sociology
Pattern change. The December 2021 BSOC-131 paper required at least two answers from each of two sections; the June 2023, December 2023, June 2024 and December 2025 BSOC-131 papers ask for any five of eight with no sections. Of those four, only December 2025 includes a short-notes question (any two of four, 10+10), so a December 2026 answer plan should allow for one.

Feminism and conservatism often arrive as one half of a two-part short-note question, which on BPSC-101 carries no internal choice. A learner who skips a whole unit can lose the full 20 marks of that question even while knowing the other half.

Papers reviewed: BEVAE-181 June 2022, BEVAE-181 June 2023, BEVAE-181 June 2024, BEVAE-181 June 2025, BEVAE-181 December 2025.
The BEVAE-181 counts compare the opening four questions of each paper, where the papers reviewed open with the environment and sustainable-development topics. One archive file needs care: a June 2023 BEVAE-181 file in the e-Vidya Bharti folder prints 90 minutes, while the degree papers print 2 hours. Practise to the 2-hour paper.
The counts above come from IGNOU’s own term-end papers, reviewed by ignouproject.com on 22 September 2026: BHIC-131 and BSOC-131 from June 2023 to December 2025, BPSC-101 from June 2023 to June 2025, and questions 1 to 4 of BEVAE-181 from June 2022 to December 2025. A theme counts when a question asks about the same topic, whatever the wording, and that matching is a human judgement. The theme tables cover BHIC-131, BSOC-131, BPSC-101 and BEVAE-181; for other BAM codes, the format is confirmed against the latest IGNOU paper on WhatsApp. Nothing here is a probability: a theme seen twice has been seen twice.
How a BAM Revision Set Is Put Together
- Match the code to its current paper. The latest IGNOU paper for the code fixes the attempt rule, the sections and the short-note format the set is written for.
- Line up several sessions. Questions from recent papers are grouped by theme, which is how the counts above were built.
- Check the themes against the blocks. Each theme is traced to the unit of the IGNOU course material that teaches it, so answers stay inside the syllabus.
- Write answers at IGNOU’s length. About 400 words for a 20-mark question and 200 for a 10-mark note, with an opening, points and a close.
- Confirm medium and code before payment. The set goes out only after the code and medium are agreed on WhatsApp.
What a BAM Guess Paper Can and Cannot Do For You
A guess paper is a revision aid built from past IGNOU question papers and the syllabus. No one outside IGNOU knows the questions in advance, and no claim is made that any question in this set will appear in your examination.
Where a BAM Set Helps
It puts the themes IGNOU has returned to, such as conservatism in BPSC-101 or status and role in BSOC-131, at the front of your revision. It shows what a 400-word answer and a 200-word note look like. It helps you divide 180 minutes across five answers.
Where It Stops
It cannot tell you which of eight questions December 2026 will print. It does not replace the blocks, and a theme seen in two of four sessions can skip the next one. If IGNOU changes a paper’s format, as it did with BSOC-131 after 2021, a set built on the older format would mislead, which is why each set is matched to the latest paper.
Revise it free first. The official BAM blocks are free through the eGyanKosh study material guide, the Gyankosh access route and the IGNOU books download page. Condensed revision is on the IGNOU study notes page. Past papers for every code are free on IGNOU’s archive, gathered on the IGNOU last year paper collection.

IGNOU’s past papers sit on two hosts, and BAM codes are rarely filed under “BAM”. Recent sessions use www.ignou.ac.in/viewFile/ldd/ with a session folder such as qpdec2025; older ones sit on webservices.ignou.ac.in under the BAG folder (CBCS/BAG-BCOMG-BSCG) for BHIC-131 and BSOC-131, and under SOSS/BDP for BPSC-101. BEVAE-181 is filed under SOH/BDP.
- Search the course code with a hyphen, for example BSOC-131, and the session.
- Open the PDF and check the session printed on page 1, since some folders carry no session in the path.
- Expect English followed by Hindi in one file; the page count doubles.
- For dates, open the current IGNOU tentative date sheet for December 2026 and search your code without the hyphen, for example BHIC131.
The IGNOU date sheet overview explains how tentative and final sheets differ.
After the Exam: Hall Ticket, Result, Revaluation and Grade Card
The hall ticket appears on IGNOU’s site before the first paper; the IGNOU hall ticket guide shows the steps. After the cycle, results are declared course by course, and the latest term-end result page tracks the current release. Assignment marks show separately on the assignment status and grade card checker. A learner unhappy with a mark can apply through IGNOU revaluation, and the CGPA calculator reads the grade card. When all 120 credits are in, the final grade card guide explains the consolidated record, and first-year learners can check the BA first year result page.
Alongside a BAM Revision Set
Assignments carry the other 30 per cent: typed answers are on the IGNOU solved assignments index, and handwritten copies for every discipline code are on the BAM handwritten assignment service. For deeper reading, unit-wise IGNOU help books and online guide books cover whole courses. The all-programme IGNOU guess paper hub lists codes outside BAM. BAM has no project or dissertation course, so learners from other programmes who need project work can start at the IGNOU project reports index.
English or Hindi, and Which Session Your Set Is For
BAM is taught in English and Hindi, according to section 4.1 of the July 2026 Common Prospectus, and every BHIC-131, BSOC-131, BPSC-101 and BEVAE-181 paper reviewed prints the English paper followed by the Hindi version in the same file. For the Urdu and Sanskrit discipline codes, the medium of the set is confirmed on WhatsApp against IGNOU’s latest paper for the code. Each set is prepared for the upcoming term-end examination, in every medium IGNOU examines that course in, and the medium for your course code is confirmed on WhatsApp before you pay.
The December 2026 sets are written for the patterns of the June 2025 and December 2025 papers. When the June 2027 tentative sheet appears, this guide is revised.
Ordering a BAM Set on WhatsApp: Steps, Price and Dispatch
₹49 PDF · ₹100 printed, per subject code
The rate is ₹49 per subject code for a solved guess paper as a PDF, or ₹100 per subject code as a printed copy. Printed copies carry a one-time courier charge of ₹100 per order, whatever the number of subject codes; the PDF has no courier charge. So three BAM codes cost ₹147 as PDFs, or ₹300 printed plus ₹100 courier. There is no minimum order: one subject or ten, same rate per format.
- Message your BAM course codes, as printed on the exam form, to +91 93546 37830.
- Say PDF or printed, and your medium; the code and medium are confirmed back to you.
- Pay after confirmation.
- The PDF is shared on WhatsApp once payment is confirmed. A printed copy is dispatched the next day after payment is confirmed, and the courier details are shared on WhatsApp. No arrival date is promised, because transit time depends on the courier and your location.
All other service rates are listed on the services and charges page.
How This BAM Guide Was Researched and Reviewed
IGNOU documents. The July 2026 Common Prospectus (section 4.1, programme structure and course list); IGNOU’s tentative December 2026 date sheet printed on 21 September 2026; nineteen term-end paper files for BHIC-131, BSOC-131, BPSC-101 and BEVAE-181 from December 2021 to December 2025, linked in the tables above; and the 2025-26 BHIC-131 assignment booklet for BAG and BAM, which states the 30 and 70 per cent weightage.
The publisher’s own analysis. The theme tables, the n of N counts and the minutes-per-answer figures are ignouproject.com’s reading of those papers. Topic matching is a judgement. The theme tables cover four codes; the other BAM codes are listed with their prospectus titles and exam dates only.
The publisher’s commercial terms. Prices, formats and dispatch are ignouproject.com’s own terms and are not IGNOU’s.
Limits stated plainly. The date sheet is tentative. The BPSC-101 counts run to June 2025, the latest BPSC-101 paper reviewed. The BEVAE-181 counts use the first four questions of each paper. Slots are read from the column each code occupies on IGNOU’s PDF.

BAM Guess Paper Questions Learners Ask
An IGNOU BAM guess paper costs ₹49 per subject code as a PDF or ₹100 per subject code as a printed copy. A printed order adds a one-time ₹100 courier charge, whatever the number of codes, and the PDF has no courier charge. Three BAM codes therefore cost ₹147 as PDFs.
The BAM December 2026 term-end examination starts on 25 November 2026 with BANC-133 and ends on 13 January 2027 with BEVAE-181, per IGNOU’s tentative date sheet printed on 21 September 2026. Dates on a tentative sheet can still change, so check the hall ticket before planning travel.
Most BAM discipline papers, such as BHIC-131 and BSOC-131, are 3 hours and 100 marks, with any five of eight questions at 20 marks each. BHIC-131 and BPSC-101 add a rule of at least two answers from each section. BEVAE-181 is different: 50 one-mark MCQs in 2 hours.
In BPSC-101, feminist political theory and conservatism appeared in all four papers from June 2023 to June 2025, and in BHIC-131 Alexander’s invasion appeared in all four papers from June 2023 to December 2025. A repeat is a revision priority, not a promise that the theme returns in December 2026.
Yes, for a shared code the BAM learner sits the same paper as the BAG learner. The BHIC-131 and BSOC-131 papers from 2023 to 2025 carry a BAG heading, and BPSC-101 papers a BAPSH heading. What matters is the course code on your hall ticket, not the programme name printed on the paper.
Yes, a BAM set can be prepared in Hindi where IGNOU examines the course in Hindi. BAM is taught in English and Hindi, and the BHIC-131, BSOC-131, BPSC-101 and BEVAE-181 papers reviewed print both languages in one file. The medium for your code is confirmed on WhatsApp before you pay.
Use both, in that order. IGNOU’s previous year question papers are free and show the real shape of a BAM paper, such as the December 2025 BSOC-131 paper. A guess paper then groups themes from several sessions and adds answers written at IGNOU’s length of about 400 words.
Nobody outside IGNOU knows the December 2026 BAM questions. A guess paper is built from past IGNOU papers and the syllabus, and no claim is made that any question in it will appear. What it does is put themes IGNOU has asked before, such as conservatism in BPSC-101, at the front of revision.
Yes, BEVAE-181 is an objective paper. The December 2025 BEVAE-181 paper has 50 questions of one mark each, answered on an OMR sheet in 2 hours, and IGNOU’s December 2026 date sheet lists BEVAE181 among MCQ and OMR pattern courses. In this cycle it falls on 13 January 2027.
The official material is free: IGNOU’s past papers, the eGyanKosh blocks and IGNOU’s book downloads cost nothing. The revision sets described here are paid, at ₹49 per code as a PDF or ₹100 per code printed. Starting with the free IGNOU papers makes sense either way.
Send your BAM course codes and medium on WhatsApp to +91 93546 37830, choose PDF or printed, and pay after the codes are confirmed. The PDF is shared on WhatsApp once payment is confirmed; a printed copy is dispatched the next day, with courier details shared on WhatsApp.
A printed BAM copy is dispatched the day after payment is confirmed, and the courier details are shared on WhatsApp. No arrival date is promised, because transit time depends on the courier and your location. A learner whose first paper is close can choose the PDF, which is shared on WhatsApp.
Check the slot first: a morning and an evening paper on one date is allowed, but two codes in one slot is a clash. On the December 2026 sheet, BEDSV-101 shares the 22 December morning slot with BEGC-133. IGNOU does not consider clashes for backlog courses from different years; report other cases to datesheet@ignou.ac.in by 25 September 2026.
No. The codes BAM-001 to BAM-006 on the December 2026 date sheet belong to the Diploma in Agricultural Cost Management, not to the Bachelor of Arts (Multidisciplinary). BA learners sit discipline codes such as BHIC-131 or BSOC-131, plus common codes such as BEVAE-181.
Check five things, whoever sells it: the exact BAM code, the pattern of the latest IGNOU paper for that code, the session it targets, answers written at IGNOU’s word length, and whether the seller claims accuracy. A promise of assured questions or marks is a reason for caution, because nobody outside IGNOU can know.
In a 3-hour BAM paper such as BHIC-131, five answers leave about 34 minutes each after a 10-minute reading allowance, and a 10+10 short-note question splits into about 17 minutes per note. In the 2-hour BEVAE-181 paper, 50 questions leave a little over 2 minutes each.
