Research note: every IGNOU rule on this page comes from documents read on 29 September 2026: IGNOU's tentative date sheet for the December 2026 term-end examination (dated 21 September 2026; re-checked on 30 September 2026 against a copy downloaded from ignou.ac.in), the Common Prospectus July 2026, IGNOU's previous year question papers page and its June 2026 paper list. Each free set names the papers it was built from. A news report is used, and named, only in the section on leaked paper offers.
An IGNOU guess paper is a publisher's revision set built from past term-end papers; ours are independent study aids, not IGNOU publications. For the December 2026 exams (25 November 2026 to 13 January 2027, per IGNOU's tentative date sheet), start with IGNOU's free past papers on ignou.ac.in, then revise the topics that keep returning for your course code, such as MEG-05. Our sets cost ₹49 as a PDF or ₹100 printed per code, plus ₹100 courier per printed order; 16 free sample PDFs are below.

Facts most pages miss
- IGNOU's website already lists June 2026 question papers, one session newer than the "up to December 2025" printed in the July 2026 prospectus (page 29; ignou.ac.in/pages/221, checked 29 September 2026).
- The December 2026 date sheet sets nine papers as MCQ on an OMR sheet, including BEVAE-181, BSHF-101 and FST-01. Practise timed MCQs for those papers.
- The same sheet sets 62 pairs of matching codes (the same letters, numbers 100 apart) on the same day, such as MHI-01 and MHI-101 on 2 January 2027. A set for one code is not automatically right for the other.
- IGNOU's own June 2026 list spells codes in more than one way (MEG-005 but MEG-01; MHD-001 but MHD-15), so a search for one spelling can miss your paper.
- A Business Today report of 17 June 2026 said IGNOU had found no evidence of a leak in the Telegram sale offers it covered and had cancelled no examination. That report is about June 2026, not December.
- The prospectus (page 404) warns that anyone who deals with intermediaries does so at their own risk, and names a Malpractices Prevention Committee for complaints.
IGNOU Guess Paper Solved PDF for the December 2026 IGNOU Exams
The free sample PDFs are in the next section, and the course list after it shows every code we cover. First, what IGNOU's December 2026 timetable means for your preparation.
IGNOU's tentative date sheet for the December 2026 term-end examination, from the Registrar (Student Evaluation Division), runs from 25 November 2026 to 13 January 2027, with two sessions a day: 10 AM to 1 PM and 2 PM to 5 PM. The sheet is dated 21 September 2026 (we re-checked a downloaded copy on 30 September 2026). It is tentative, so confirm your code, date and session on IGNOU's current date sheet; our December 2026 date sheet page has a finder by course code. The Common Prospectus July 2026 (page 27) says hall tickets go online about 7 to 10 days before the exams and that no student is allowed in without the IGNOU identity card. For December 2026, download the hall ticket from ignou.ac.in once IGNOU releases it; our hall ticket download guide (written for June 2026) shows the steps. The base exam fee is ₹200 per theory course (same page of the prospectus); a late fee applies after the normal last date, so check IGNOU's current exam-form notice on ignou.ac.in before paying.

Nine papers are MCQ on an OMR sheet
The date sheet lists these courses as objective (MCQ) papers answered on an OMR sheet. Practise timed MCQs and IGNOU's past papers for them, and use the course blocks to understand the concepts.

Codes 100 apart sit on the same day
IGNOU still examines some older codes alongside newer ones. The December 2026 sheet sets 62 pairs of matching codes (the same letters, numbers 100 apart) on the same day, for example MHI-01 and MHI-101 (2 January 2027), MEC-01 and MEC-101 (2 December 2026), and MGY-01 and MGY-101 (9 December 2026). MHI-01 and MHI-101 even share a title, Ancient and Medieval Societies, yet the syllabus and the question pattern can differ between codes, so revise from past papers and a set for the code printed on your hall ticket. The course code checker below flags every pair on the sheet.

Sixteen free sample PDFs are ready for December 2026, covering 17 course codes (one combined file serves MHI-01 and MHI-101). Each was built from the IGNOU question papers listed below, which the file also names on its first page; where a paper came from a third-party copy, the table and the file say so. A set built from several papers holds the paper pattern, a repeat map of the topics that came back, solved answers for the strongest repeat themes, answer plans for the rest and practice prompts. The three OMR courses get 40 practice MCQs with an answer key instead. The MHD-002 set is built from one paper, June 2026, so it shows that paper's pattern and practice answers but cannot show repeats; it is in Hindi, the language of that paper.

December 2026 course code checker
Common formats work, for example meg 5, MEG-05, MEG-005 or BEVAE181.
How the checker decides. It reads your code in common formats (meg 5, MEG-05, MEG-005), then looks it up in the 2,704 course codes on IGNOU's tentative December 2026 date sheet dated 21 September 2026 (re-checked on 30 September 2026). It tells you whether the code is on that sheet, whether the sheet sets it as an MCQ paper on an OMR sheet, and whether a matching code 100 apart falls on the same day, with that day's date. It also shows the sheet's own notes for a few courses, such as MPH-002 and MPH-003, which are held together in one sitting. It lists the spellings to try on IGNOU's past-paper list and links our programme page or free sample where one exists. For a code on the sheet it prepares a WhatsApp message asking whether the set is ready; for a code it cannot find, it asks you to check your registration record first. IGNOU Puts Its Own Past Papers Online, Free and Code by Code
IGNOU posts its term-end question papers free on ignou.ac.in, under Student Services, Downloads, Previous Year Question Papers. On 29 September 2026 that page listed four sessions: June 2026, December 2025, June 2025 and December 2024. The Common Prospectus July 2026 (page 29) says IGNOU has digitised its past papers since 2008 and printed that sessions up to December 2025 were online; the website had already added June 2026. Our guess papers are built from these same papers, so read them first.
- Open the Previous Year Question Papers page and choose a session, starting with June 2026.
- Find your code. IGNOU's own list spells codes in more than one way: the June 2026 list shows MEG-005 but MEG-01, and MHD-001 but MHD-15. Try each spelling the checker above gives you.
- Download the paper and note its pattern: the number of questions, how much choice, and how the marks split.
- Repeat for four or five sessions. For June 2024 and older sessions, which that page does not list, use IGNOU's archive of earlier papers; the July 2026 prospectus prints its address as webservices.ignou.ac.in/Pre-Question. Then rank the topics with the tracker in the next section.

Build Your Own Guess List from Five Sessions
Our guess papers start from one method: count how often each topic appeared in recent papers for that code. You can do the same for any code. Download the last five papers (June 2024 to June 2026; June 2024 is in IGNOU's archive of earlier papers), write each topic once, and tick the sessions in which it was asked. The tracker ranks the topics and, if you add your exam date, places them on the days before the exam. Our descriptive free sets built from several papers open with this count as a repeat map.

Repeat question tracker
Write one topic or question per row, then tick each session whose paper asked it. Blank rows are ignored.
December 2026 papers run from 25 November 2026 to 13 January 2027; find your date on the date sheet page.
How the tracker decides. A topic's score is the number of the five sessions in which it appeared. Ties go to the topic seen most recently, then to the order in which you typed them. With an exam date and at least two days left, the tracker keeps the last day before the exam for one full past paper in the paper's own time and places the ranked topics on the days just before it; topics seen in three or more sessions get a second pass. With one day left, it lists the topics only. Nothing you type is saved or sent anywhere. IGNOU does not prescribe this method, and no count of past papers can tell you which questions will be set.
Advantages of Reading IGNOU Guess Papers
A good guess paper saves time in the last weeks before the exam, as long as you know what it is: a summary of what IGNOU has already asked, arranged for revision.
What a guess paper does well
- It shows the paper's pattern: how many questions, how much choice and how the marks split, which differs by course (in the June 2026 papers, MHD-002 opened with a compulsory 36-mark explanation question and BEGAE-182 allowed 2 hours for 50 marks; check your own paper's instructions).
- It gathers the topics that returned across sessions in one place, so your revision follows what IGNOU actually asks.
- It gives answer structures you can practise against the clock.
- It is short enough to finish in the last week, when there is no time for every block.
What a guess paper cannot do
- It cannot tell you which questions will be set, and it is not an IGNOU publication.
- It cannot replace the course blocks, which the questions are written from.
- It cannot serve as your assignment. Assignments you submit must be your own work.
- A set for one code may not suit its newer or older pair, such as MHI-01 and MHI-101.

Gullybaba, Neeraj or Ours: Five Checks Before You Pay
Many students search for Gullybaba or Neeraj guess papers by name. Those are other publishers' products, and this site does not host or share their files. Whichever set you consider, ours included, check five things before paying.
- Code and session. The set names your exact course code and the exam it was built for, and says whether it follows a revised code (MHI-101) or the older one (MHI-01).
- Evidence. It shows which IGNOU papers it was built from, so you can open them yourself on ignou.ac.in.
- Paper type. For the nine OMR papers, the set should give timed MCQ practice.
- Promises. A promise of fixed marks, confirmed questions or a leaked paper is a reason to walk away.
- Medium, format and price. Hindi or English, PDF or printed, and the price per code with any courier charge stated before you pay.
Leaked IGNOU Paper Offers: What a June 2026 News Report Said
In June 2026 learners complained that people were offering IGNOU question papers for sale online, including on Telegram, for about ₹199 a paper, according to a Business Today report of 17 June 2026. The report said IGNOU's Student Evaluation Division had written to Regional Directors on 4 June, had found no evidence of a leak in those complaints, and had not cancelled any examination. We have not seen an official copy of that letter, and the report is about June 2026, not December 2026.
The Common Prospectus July 2026 (page 404) warns that students who deal with intermediaries do so at their own risk, and names a Malpractices Prevention Committee (registraroffice@ignou.ac.in). Do not pay anyone who offers a "leaked paper"; keep screenshots of the offer, and you can report it to that committee. Our guess papers contain questions IGNOU has already published and practice built on them, never an unreleased paper.

What is a guess paper in IGNOU?
A revision set built by a publisher from IGNOU's past term-end papers for one course code, usually with solved answers for the topics that repeat. Ours are independent study aids, not IGNOU publications; IGNOU's own free material is the course blocks and the past papers on ignou.ac.in.
Can I pass with a guess paper alone?
Do not rely on one. A guess paper covers the topics that returned in past sessions, while questions are written from the whole course. Use it for the last weeks, after the blocks and IGNOU's past papers.
