Quick answer. An IGNOU MCOM guess paper is a revision set of important and recurring questions, with model answers, for one MCO or IBO course code, and ignouproject.com prepares it for the December 2026 term-end examination, which IGNOU’s tentative date sheet of 14 September 2026 places between 1 and 30 December for the fourteen MCOM codes. The MCO-01, MCO-04 and MCO-07 papers of 2025 are 3-hour, 100-mark papers asking any five questions, printed in English and Hindi together, and MCO-07 set a capital budgeting numerical in each of the four papers from June 2024 to December 2025. When Do the MCOM Papers Fall in December 2026?
The first MCOM paper is MCO-24 on Tuesday 1 December 2026 in the evening slot, and the last is MCO-23 on Wednesday 30 December 2026, also in the evening, per IGNOU’s tentative December 2026 date sheet dated 14 September 2026.

The whole December 2026 cycle runs from 25 November 2026 to 13 January 2027, in a morning slot of 10 AM to 1 PM and an evening slot of 2 PM to 5 PM. IGNOU asked learners to report any discrepancy to datesheet@ignou.ac.in by 20 September 2026, and the sheet can still change before the hall tickets are issued.
Five Papers in Six Days, 18 to 23 December
Learners carrying papers from more than one semester face the tightest stretch of the cycle. MCO-03 sits on 18 December, MCO-04 on 19 December, MCO-05 on 21 December, MCO-06 on 22 December and MCO-07 on 23 December, with only Sunday 20 December free between them. A second run opens the cycle: MCO-24 on 1 December, IBO-01 on 2 December and IBO-02 on 3 December, on three consecutive days.
No two MCOM codes share a date and slot, so the sheet has no clash for this programme. Within a single semester the gaps are wider; Semester I, for example, runs MCO-01 on 9 December, MCO-021 on 11 December, MCO-04 on 19 December and MCO-05 on 21 December. Why the MCO Term-End Paper Carries Most of Your Result
The term-end examination carries 70 per cent of the final course result and assignments carry the remaining 30 per cent. The MCO-01 papers of June 2024, June 2025 and December 2025 print that weightage line on the cover, while the MCO-04 and MCO-07 papers of 2024 and 2025 leave it off, so the figure is easy to miss.
In practice, a well-written assignment cannot rescue a weak term-end answer book, because the 3-hour paper carries more than twice the weight. Guess Paper, Previous Year Paper or Solved Paper: Which One an MCOM Learner Needs
A guess paper is a revision set of important and recurring questions for one course code, such as MCO-07, with model answers, prepared by a publisher from past IGNOU papers and the syllabus; the terms important questions, expected questions and model paper describe the same kind of product. A previous year question paper is the actual paper IGNOU set in an earlier term-end examination, such as the December 2025 MCO-07 paper, and it is free on IGNOU’s website. A solved question paper is that actual paper with a publisher’s model answers added.

The IGNOU MCOM is an 80-credit, four-semester programme of the School of Management Studies, and the July 2026 Common Prospectus lists fifteen course codes: fourteen with a term-end paper and the 6-credit MCOP-001 project, which has none. The credits add up to 22, 18, 22 and 18 across the four semesters. MCOM is the programme code; MCO and IBO are the course-code prefixes, and the online route is listed separately as MCOMOL.

The MCO-07 Financial Management paper of December 2025 is 3 hours and 100 marks, prints nine questions and asks for any five, and includes two numericals: a yield-to-call calculation on an 8 per cent preference share and a profitability index across three projects at a 12 per cent cost of capital. Each question still totals 20 marks, so five answers make the full 100.
Conflicts and Outdated Wording to Watch
Where IGNOU documents, older sets and this site disagree.
- The MCO-01 title is printed three ways on IGNOU’s own papers: “Organization” (June 2024), “Organisational” (June 2025) and “Organisation” (December 2025), while the prospectus MCOM table prints “Organization Theory and Behavior”. It is the same course.
- IBO-03, IBO-004 and IBO-005 still appear in IGNOU’s June 2026 paper list and on the December 2026 sheet (4 December, 27 November and 7 December), but none of them is in the July 2026 MCOM list. A set for those codes does not match a current MCOM paper.
- The MCO-04 papers of June 2023 and December 2024 still name the Sick Industrial Companies (Special Provisions) Act, 1985, the MRTP Act and the Consumer Protection Act, 1986, all since replaced (the last by the Consumer Protection Act, 2019). Answer from the current law and mention the older Act only where the question names it.
- On this site, the MCOM assignment guide lists IBO-02 as “International Business Operations”; the prospectus title is International Marketing Management. The first-semester books page says the papers print nine questions; the June 2025 and December 2025 MCO-01 papers print eight. The December 2026 date sheet page cites a 19 August version, while the PDF on ignou.ac.in is dated 14 September 2026. All three are being corrected.
What Twelve IGNOU Papers Asked in MCO-01, MCO-04 and MCO-07
In IGNOU’s MCO-07 Financial Management papers of June 2024, December 2024, June 2025 and December 2025, seven themes appeared in all four: a capital budgeting numerical, leverage, lease financing, capital structure, project finance, inventory management and dividend decisions. MCO-04 had four themes present in all four of its papers, and MCO-01 had two.

Numerical practice note for MCO-07. Every MCO-07 paper of the four gave a capital budgeting problem with present value factors printed (NPV in June 2024, December 2024 and June 2025; profitability index in December 2025), and three of the four gave leverage figures to calculate. A learner who can set out an NPV table and a degree of operating and financial leverage without hesitation has two of the five answers planned before the paper opens.

The differentiate-the-pairs question is the MCO-04 habit most worth practising. December 2025 asked for four pairs at 5 marks each, among them liberalisation and globalisation, and TRIPS and TRIMS; June 2025 asked for four pairs as well. A 5-mark difference needs four or five crisp contrasts, not an essay.

The MCO-01 format that broke the run. The June 2024 MCO-01 paper printed nine questions, each a single 20-mark question with no notes question. The December 2023, June 2025 and December 2025 papers each printed eight questions, most split into parts such as 12+8 or 16+4, with Question 8 asking for notes on any two of four topics. A set built only on June 2024 would train one long answer where IGNOU now usually asks two shorter parts.
Three smaller changes matter at the desk. The MCO-07 instruction lost its “All questions carry equal marks” line after December 2024, though every question still totals 20. The December 2025 MCO-01 paper asks about the roles of managers twice, in Question 1 and again in note 8(a), so a learner can use that theme once only. And IGNOU’s papers carry the odd slip, such as “arguements” (MCO-01, December 2025), “Wokers’ Partcipation” (MCO-04, June 2025) and “bolt the projects” (MCO-07, June 2024); read the question for its meaning.
How the counts were made. The theme tables come from twelve IGNOU term-end papers, each reviewed in full by ignouproject.com on 19 September 2026: MCO-01 from December 2023 to December 2025, MCO-04 from June 2023 to December 2025, and MCO-07 from June 2024 to December 2025, four sessions per course. A theme is counted when a question, a part or a note asks about it, and deciding that two differently worded questions share a theme is a human judgement, not a string match. A count such as 4 of 4 records what IGNOU asked; it says nothing about what December 2026 will ask. The theme tables cover MCO-01, MCO-04 and MCO-07; for other codes, the format is confirmed against the latest IGNOU paper on WhatsApp.

How an MCOM Revision Set Is Put Together
Each set starts from IGNOU’s own papers for the code and ends with a check against the latest pattern. The order is fixed:
- Code and title confirmed. The code is matched to the July 2026 Common Prospectus list, so an IBO-03 request is flagged rather than filled.
- Past papers compared. Several sessions of the code are set side by side and each question is tagged to a theme.
- Themes ranked by recurrence. Themes seen in more sessions come first; a theme seen once is treated as seen once.
- Answers written to IGNOU’s marks. A 12+8 question gets two parts in proportion; MCO-07 numericals show every working line.
- Pattern and medium checked. The set is checked against the latest IGNOU paper’s instructions and prepared in English or Hindi as confirmed on WhatsApp.
What an MCOM Guess Paper Can Do, and What It Cannot
A guess paper is a revision aid built from past IGNOU question papers and the syllabus. No one outside IGNOU knows the questions in advance, and no claim is made that any question in this set will appear in your examination.
Where a Set Helps
For MCOM it helps with order and length. It puts the themes that returned across four MCO-07 papers, such as leverage and lease financing, ahead of themes seen once. It shows how a 16+4 or 12+8 question divides into parts, and it rehearses the numericals IGNOU keeps setting in MCO-07.
Where a Set Cannot Help
It cannot tell you the December 2026 questions, and it cannot stand in for the MCO blocks. It also cannot cover a change IGNOU makes after the set is prepared; the switch in MCO-01 from nine undivided questions in June 2024 to eight part-split questions later is the kind of shift that only the latest paper reveals. Any seller who promises marks or a fixed share of the paper is claiming something no one outside IGNOU can know.
Revise it free first. The answer-time figures assume 10 minutes for reading and choosing questions, which leaves 170 minutes, or 34 minutes for each 20-mark answer and about 1.7 minutes per mark. A 12+8 question therefore gets about 20 and 14 minutes.

IGNOU publishes past term-end papers session by session and the date sheet as a PDF notice. The June 2026 question paper list on ignou.ac.in lists all fourteen MCOM codes for that session, padded as MCO-001, MCO-022 and IBO-002. The official tentative December 2026 date sheet is the only schedule to rely on; third-party pages have quoted three different release dates for it.
- Open the session list on ignou.ac.in and search by course number, since zero padding varies.
- Check the session printed on page 1; some files sit in folders with no session in the name, and MCOM files share a folder labelled for PGDIBO.
- Download the date sheet PDF and confirm tentative or final status on its first line.

Hall Ticket Before, Result and Revaluation After
The hall ticket comes before the first paper, and the result, revaluation and grade card follow. Hindi or English: Medium and Session for Each MCO Code
Each set is prepared for the upcoming term-end examination, in every medium IGNOU examines that course in, and the medium for your course code is confirmed on WhatsApp before you pay. The July 2026 Common Prospectus lists the MCOM medium as English and Hindi, and every one of the twelve MCO-01, MCO-04 and MCO-07 papers reviewed printed the English questions followed by the Hindi version in the same paper.
IGNOU’s June 2026 list shows no separate Hindi or regional MCO file, unlike some MBA codes, so the Hindi questions are inside the main paper. For codes outside the theme tables, the medium is confirmed on WhatsApp for that code. Each set targets the December 2026 examination; the same code for June 2027 is revised after IGNOU’s next date sheet.

MCOM Guess Paper Questions Learners Ask

No one outside IGNOU knows the December 2026 MCOM questions, so no guess paper can promise that its questions will appear. A set can show which themes IGNOU asked repeatedly, such as capital budgeting in all four recent MCO-07 papers, and how to answer them.
An MCOM guess paper costs ₹49 per subject code as a PDF or ₹100 per subject code as a printed copy. A printed order adds a one-time ₹100 courier charge, whatever the number of codes, and the PDF has no courier charge. There is no minimum order.
In the four MCO-07 papers from June 2024 to December 2025, seven themes appeared every time: a capital budgeting numerical, leverage, lease financing, capital structure, project finance, inventory management and dividend decisions. Cost of capital and time value of money appeared in three.

Yes, the MCOM papers reviewed print the English questions followed by the Hindi version in the same paper, and the July 2026 Common Prospectus lists the MCOM medium as English and Hindi. Sets are prepared in the medium you confirm on WhatsApp.
Previous year papers are free on ignou.ac.in and show IGNOU’s exact format, so solve at least two per code first. A guess paper adds the comparison across sessions and model answers, which saves time when the MCOM dates leave only a few days per code.
A solved paper is one real IGNOU paper, such as December 2025 MCO-04, with model answers added. A guess paper for MCO-04 gathers the themes that recurred across several sessions, such as WTO and TRIPS, and answers those instead.
In MCO-01 you answer any five of eight questions, all carrying equal marks, per IGNOU’s papers of December 2023, June 2025 and December 2025, where Question 8 asks for notes on any two topics. The June 2024 paper differed, with nine undivided 20-mark questions.
No. The July 2026 Common Prospectus lists only IBO-01, IBO-02 and IBO-06 in the MCOM. IBO-03, IBO-004 and IBO-005 still appear in IGNOU’s paper list and date sheet for other learners, so check your registration before ordering any set.
No. IGNOU’s December 2026 date sheet is marked tentative and is dated 14 September 2026, with discrepancies to be reported to datesheet@ignou.ac.in by 20 September 2026. Dates can change before hall tickets are issued, so check ignou.ac.in again in November.
The PDF is shared on WhatsApp once payment is confirmed. A printed MCOM copy is dispatched the next day after payment is confirmed, and the courier details are shared on WhatsApp. No arrival date is promised, because transit depends on the courier and your location.
The term-end examination carries 70 per cent of each MCOM course result and assignments carry 30 per cent. The MCO-01 papers print a 70 per cent weightage line on the cover; the recent MCO-04 and MCO-07 papers do not print it.
Check four things with any seller, this one included: the set uses the current MCOM code, matches the latest IGNOU pattern, names the session it targets, and answers in IGNOU’s mark splits. A seller promising marks or a percentage of questions is claiming something unknowable.
