IGNOU BSCM · December 2026 term-end examination
Most BSCM papers still carry the old BSCG name, and the maths paper changed its rules in December 2024
A revision set for any Bachelor of Science (Multidisciplinary) course code, built on what IGNOU’s own BPHCT-131, BCHCT-131 and BMTC-131 papers asked between 2021 and 2025, and timed against the tentative December 2026 date sheet.
- 28 theory codes, 7 disciplines
- First paper: 25 Nov 2026
- 13 IGNOU papers reviewed
- English and Hindi medium
- PDF on WhatsApp
- Printed copy by courier
Medium and course code are confirmed before payment. Printed orders add a one-time ₹100 courier charge.
Quick answer. An IGNOU BSCM guess paper is a publisher’s revision set of recurring questions with model answers for one Bachelor of Science (Multidisciplinary) course code, such as BPHCT-131 or BMTC-131, and for the December 2026 term-end examination the BSCM theory papers run from 25 November 2026 (BPHCT-131) to 12 January 2027 (BMTE-144), with BEVAE-181 on 13 January 2027, per IGNOU’s tentative date sheet printed on 21 September 2026. The physics, chemistry, botany, zoology and geology theory papers are 2 hours and 50 marks; BMTC-131 is 3 hours and 100 marks with a compulsory 20-mark first question since December 2024. Each set costs ₹49 as a PDF or ₹100 as a printed copy per subject code, plus a one-time ₹100 courier charge on printed orders, and it is prepared in English or Hindi, whichever IGNOU examines your code in. A guess paper is a revision aid: no one outside IGNOU knows the questions in advance.
When Do the BSCM Papers Start in December 2026?
The BSCM theory papers begin on Wednesday 25 November 2026 and the last BSCM paper, BEVAE-181, falls on Wednesday 13 January 2027. Tentative sheet, printed 21 September 2026
First BSCM paper
25 Nov 2026
BPHCT-131 Mechanics, 2 PM to 5 PM per the sheet
Last BSCM paper
13 Jan 2027
BEVAE-181; BMTE-144 closes the discipline papers on 12 Jan 2027
IGNOU’s tentative date sheet for the December 2026 term-end examination is dated 21 September 2026, which makes it newer than the 19 August version that most summaries online still quote. The same sheet says the examination form portal opened from 10 September and asks for discrepancies to reach datesheet@ignou.ac.in by 25 September 2026. A tentative sheet can move, so check the final version before booking travel or leave. The site’s December 2026 date sheet finder looks up any code, and the two IGNOU exam slots and reporting times are explained separately.
Three Date-Sheet Traps Specific to BSCM
- Two geology papers on one day. BGYCT-137 sits in the morning slot and BGYCT-131 in the evening slot on Tuesday 8 December 2026, per the sheet. A learner carrying BGYCT-131 as a backlog while sitting BGYCT-137 writes both on that day.
- Physics and chemistry back to back. BPHCT-131 is on 25 November and BCHCT-131 on 26 November, so a first-semester learner with Physics and Chemistry gets no gap at the start of the cycle.
- Mathematics finishes in January. BMTE-141 (9 January 2027) and BMTE-144 (12 January 2027) are the third and fourth BSCM mathematics papers, while the botany papers that share Group 3 finish on 29 December. Plan revision to run past the New Year.
The slot column in the course table below is taken from the column position on the sheet, because the text version of the PDF drops the column headings. Your hall ticket shows the slot IGNOU has fixed for you, and it is the document to follow. Fees and centre details are covered on the pages for the term-end exam fee and choosing an exam centre.
Why the BSCM Term-End Paper Decides Most of Your Course Result
The term-end examination carries 70 per cent of the final course result and assignments carry the remaining 30 per cent. The 2025 BMTC-131 assignment booklet repeats the line IGNOU prints on its School of Sciences booklets: a weightage of 30 per cent is earmarked for continuous evaluation through one tutor-marked assignment.
What the stake looks like on the paper depends on the credits. A 4-credit theory course in Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology or Geology gets a 2-hour, 50-mark paper; the 6-credit mathematics course BMTC-131 gets 3 hours and 100 marks. None of the thirteen IGNOU papers reviewed for these tables prints a weightage line on its cover, unlike some management papers, so the 70 per cent figure comes from the assignment booklet rather than the question paper. Laboratory courses such as BPHCL-132 are examined in the lab, not in this written paper, and are not part of a guess paper.
Guess Paper, Previous Year Paper or Solved Paper: Which One a BSCM Learner Needs
A guess paper is a revision set of important and recurring questions for one course code, such as BCHCT-131, with model answers, prepared by a publisher from past IGNOU papers and the syllabus; sellers also call the same thing important questions, expected questions or a model paper. A previous year question paper is the one IGNOU itself set for a past session, such as the December 2025 BCHCT-131 paper, and IGNOU’s archive gives it away free. A solved question paper is that actual IGNOU paper with a publisher’s model answers added.
| Item | Who makes it | Cost | Good for | Cannot do |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Guess paper | A publisher, from several past papers and the syllabus | ₹49 PDF or ₹100 printed here, per code | Grouping recurring themes and practising answers of the right length | Tell you what IGNOU will ask |
| Previous year paper | IGNOU | Free on IGNOU’s archive | Seeing the exact format, marks and wording of one session | Give answers, or show which themes recur |
| Solved question paper | A publisher, answering one real paper | Varies by seller | Checking how one real paper can be answered | Cover a pattern IGNOU has since changed |
Wide table: scroll sideways to see every column.
For BSCM the format point matters most in mathematics. A solved December 2023 BMTC-131 paper trains you for any six questions at 15 marks after a 10-mark first question; the December 2024 paper asked for any eight at 10 marks after a 20-mark first question. Answered versions of past papers are on the site’s IGNOU solved question papers page, and every programme’s sets are listed on the IGNOU guess papers hub.
What Goes Into a BSCM Revision Set
Built per code. One set per BSCM course code, so a Discipline C learner orders only the codes on the hall ticket.
Current pattern. BMTC-131 answers are written for the 20-mark first question and any eight of nine, the pattern IGNOU printed in December 2024.
Recurring themes first. Topics that came back across IGNOU’s own papers are placed ahead of topics seen once.
Numericals worked out. Physics sets show the free-body diagram, the equation and the units, the way BPHCT papers award marks.
Two answer books. BCHCT sets keep Part A and Part B apart, matching the separate answer books IGNOU asks for.
Short-note length. Five-mark answers are kept to the length a 2-hour, 50-mark paper allows.
Proof-style answers. BMTC true-or-false items come with the short proof or counter-example IGNOU asks for.
Derivations in full. BPHCT-135 sets carry the 10-mark derivations the December 2025 paper asked for.
English or Hindi. Prepared in the medium IGNOU examines the code in; BSCM papers are printed in both.
Date-aware. Each set is dated for the December 2026 cycle, not recycled from an older session.
PDF or print. A PDF on WhatsApp, or a printed copy dispatched the day after payment.
Plain limits. Every set says what it cannot do, and nothing in it is presented as an IGNOU question.

BSCM Course Codes, Exam Dates and Paper Pattern
BSCM has 28 theory codes across seven disciplines, and a learner takes four codes in each of three disciplines. The July 2026 Common Prospectus places the disciplines in five groups (Physics; Chemistry; Mathematics or Botany; Zoology or Geography; Geology) and allows one discipline per group, for 120 credits over six semesters: 18 in the first semester, 22 in the second and 20 in each of the rest. Each lab-based discipline pairs a 4-credit theory course with a 2-credit laboratory course; mathematics and three of the geography courses are single 6-credit courses. The site’s B.Sc. syllabus overview covers the blocks inside each course.

Old-name and old-pattern warning
BSCM means Bachelor of Science (Multidisciplinary) at IGNOU’s School of Sciences; at least one seller page describes it as a supply chain management course, which it is not. The discipline codes are the same codes the older B.Sc. General (BSCG) programme uses, so every BPHCT-131 paper from December 2022 to December 2024 is headed BSCG, and the first papers here that print BSCM on the cover are the December 2024 BMTC-131 paper and the December 2025 BCHCT-131 paper. A BSCG guess paper for the same code is therefore usable, but only if it follows the current pattern: a BMTC-131 set written before December 2024 trains the older six-of-seven rule. One seller page also describes BPHCT-131 as an OMR paper; IGNOU’s BPHCT-131 papers are written-answer papers, and the OMR note on the December 2026 sheet covers BEVAE-181. Background on the older programme is on the BSCG programme page.
Where IGNOU’s documents disagree, and one in-house problem
- The Common Prospectus prints the Sanskrit language course as BSDAE182, twice; the December 2026 sheet and IGNOU’s December 2025 paper list both use BSKAE-182.
- BDIG-171 (Introduction to Migration and Diaspora) appears in the prospectus interdisciplinary list but not on the December 2026 sheet or in the December 2025 paper list. Confirm with your Regional Centre before planning for it.
- The prospectus introduces the BSCM course list as the list for the “Bachelor of Arts Programme”, labels two different semesters’ skill course as SEC-3, and prints five credit totals under six category columns; the semester totals still add to 120.
- The December 2025 BCHCT-131 paper titles the course “Atomic Structure and Bonding, …” while the prospectus prints “Atomic Structure, Bonding, …”. Same course, same code.
- In-house: an older BSCG guess paper category on the publisher’s store describes guess papers as solved past papers, and some older pages on this site still carry wording this guide does not use. Those pages are being corrected; rely on the code list above.
No BSCM per-code page is linked from the tables yet; each code is served through WhatsApp until one is published.
What the BPHCT-131, BCHCT-131 and BMTC-131 Papers Actually Asked
Seven BCHCT-131 themes appeared in all five IGNOU papers from February 2021 to December 2025, and four BPHCT-131 themes appeared in all four papers from December 2022 to December 2024. In chemistry these are HBr addition to alkenes, aromaticity, conformations, molecular orbital theory, stereoisomerism, electronic configuration and resonance. In physics they are elastic collisions, damped oscillations, the work-energy theorem and solving a differential equation. Each count reads n of N papers.

The papers are IGNOU’s December 2022 BPHCT-131, December 2023 BPHCT-131, June 2024 BPHCT-131 and December 2024 BPHCT-131 papers. All four are 2 hours and 50 marks. The December 2024 paper printed only seven short parts in question 1, where the other three print eight, so the choice was five of seven instead of five of eight.

The papers are IGNOU’s February 2021 BCHCT-131 (filed in the December 2020 folder), December 2022 BCHCT-131, December 2023 BCHCT-131, June 2024 BCHCT-131 and December 2025 BCHCT-131 papers. The structure never changed: any five of seven in each part, every question 5 marks. Only the part names moved, from Part A and B in 2021 to Part I and II in 2022 and 2023 and back to Part A and B in 2024 and 2025.
BMTC-131 Calculus: Three Papers and a Rule Change
BMTC-131 changed its attempt rule between June 2024 and December 2024. The December 2023 BMTC-131 paper and the June 2024 BMTC-131 paper set a compulsory 10-mark question 1 and any six of questions 2 to 8 at 15 marks. The December 2024 BMTC-131 paper set a compulsory 20-mark question 1 with ten true-or-false statements, then any eight of questions 2 to 10 at 10 marks. Answers written for the old 15-mark length run long under the new rule.

Wide table: scroll sideways to see every column.
One more mathematics finding. IGNOU’s 2025 BMTC-131 assignment booklet repeats the June 2024 term-end paper almost question for question, from the five true-or-false statements to the curve tracing, the cycloid and Lagrange’s mean value theorem. A learner who wrote that assignment has already practised one full BMTC-131 paper; it says nothing about the next one.
How These Counts Were Made
The counts come from thirteen IGNOU papers, each reviewed in full by ignouproject.com on 24 September 2026: BPHCT-131 from December 2022, December 2023, June 2024 and December 2024; BCHCT-131 from February 2021, December 2022, December 2023, June 2024 and December 2025; BMTC-131 from December 2023, June 2024 and December 2024; and BPHCT-135 from December 2025 for the pattern check. Matching is at topic level and is a human judgement, not a string match: “elastic collision” counts a billiard-ball question and a neutron-helium question alike. The theme tables cover BPHCT-131, BCHCT-131 and BMTC-131; for other BSCM codes, the format is confirmed on WhatsApp against the latest IGNOU paper. A count shows what came back in the past. It is not a forecast, and a theme seen in every paper can still be absent next time.
The newest paper in the set, IGNOU’s December 2025 BPHCT-135 paper, is worth a look for its shape alone: questions 4 and 5 are single 10-mark derivations with an either-or choice, such as the Clausius-Clapeyron equation or the Carnot cycle, rather than two 5-mark parts.
How a BSCM Set Is Put Together, Step by Step
- Confirm the code and medium. The code on your hall ticket decides the set; the medium is checked against the IGNOU paper, which for BSCM prints English and Hindi together.
- Read the latest IGNOU paper for the code. Time, marks, attempt rule and compulsory elements are taken from the newest paper IGNOU has published.
- Group recurring themes. Themes that came back across sessions are placed first, with the sessions they appeared in.
- Write answers to the paper’s length. A 5-mark chemistry answer, a 10-mark curve tracing and a 2-mark definition are each written to fit the time the paper allows.
- Review and send. The set is checked by BK Sahni and shared as a PDF on WhatsApp, or printed and dispatched.
What a BSCM Guess Paper Can and Cannot Do
A guess paper is a revision aid built from past IGNOU question papers and the syllabus. No one outside IGNOU knows the questions in advance, and no claim is made that any question in this set will appear in your examination.
What It Helps With
It puts the themes that recurred in BPHCT-131, BCHCT-131 and BMTC-131 in front of you first, shows how long a 5-mark answer should be inside a 2-hour paper, and gives worked numericals in the form BSCM physics papers mark.
What It Cannot Do
It cannot tell you which question IGNOU will set, it cannot replace the course blocks, and it cannot cover a new pattern that IGNOU introduces after the set is written, as happened with BMTC-131 in December 2024. If a paper changes, the change is on IGNOU’s side and no revision set can anticipate it.
Revise it free first
IGNOU’s own blocks for every BSCM course are free: the eGyanKosh study material guide and the alternative route to Gyankosh show where they sit, and the IGNOU books download page lists the course books. Short revision notes are on the IGNOU study notes page. Past papers are free on IGNOU’s archive, described in the section on official papers below.

Where to Get IGNOU’s Own BSCM Papers and the Date Sheet
IGNOU publishes past papers session by session, and its December 2025 question paper list carries every BSCM theory code. The steps:
- Open ignou.ac.in, go to Student Services, then Downloads, then Question Papers, and pick the session.
- Search the list for the code with a hyphen, for example BPHCT-131; BSCM codes are filed under the shared B.Sc. names, so do not look for a folder called BSCM.
- Check the session printed on page 1. Some files sit in folders named for another month, such as the February 2021 BCHCT-131 paper inside the December 2020 folder.
- Each BSCM file prints English first and Hindi after it, which is why a 2-hour paper runs to 12 or more pages.
The site keeps a list of IGNOU last year papers and a general guide to how IGNOU date sheets are issued.
Before and After the BSCM Exam: Hall Ticket, Result, Revaluation
IGNOU releases the hall ticket before the cycle; the IGNOU hall ticket guide explains the release, and the step-by-step hall ticket download covers login problems. After the exam, December results appear on the IGNOU term-end result page, while the June 2026 result page covers the earlier cycle. Assignment marks show on the assignment status and grade card page. If a mark looks wrong, the IGNOU revaluation process sets out the steps. For the degree stage, see the final grade card, the percentage calculator and the CGPA calculator.
What Else BSCM Learners Order Alongside
Many BSCM learners pair a guess paper with IGNOU solved assignments for the tutor-marked assignment, or with the BSCM handwritten assignment service for the 28 theory codes that carry one. For longer reading, there are IGNOU help books by course code and guide books ordered online. Laboratory records and project work are separate services, handled through IGNOU project support.
Medium and Session: English, Hindi and the December 2026 Cycle
Each set is prepared for the upcoming term-end examination, in every medium IGNOU examines that course in, and the medium for your course code is confirmed on WhatsApp before you pay. The July 2026 Common Prospectus lists English and Hindi as the medium of instruction for BSCM, and every BSCM paper reviewed here prints the English paper followed by the Hindi paper in the same file. So a BSCM set can be prepared in either medium for any of the 28 theory codes. The sets described on this page target the December 2026 term-end examination; the June 2027 sets follow once IGNOU issues that date sheet.

The rate is ₹49 per subject code for a solved guess paper as a PDF, or ₹100 per subject code as a printed copy. There is no minimum order: one subject or ten, same rate per format. The full rate list is on the services and charges page.
How This BSCM Guide Was Prepared
Three kinds of material sit on this page, kept apart. (a) IGNOU documents: the July 2026 Common Prospectus, the tentative December 2026 date sheet printed 21 September 2026, the December 2025 question paper list, thirteen IGNOU term-end papers and the 2025 BMTC-131 assignment booklet. (b) The publisher’s own analysis: the theme tables, the n of N counts, the slot reading and the minute budgets, all made by ignouproject.com. (c) The publisher’s commercial terms: prices, formats and dispatch.
Written and reviewed by BK Sahni, Founder, Shri Chakradhar Publication Pvt. Ltd. and ignouproject.com, who has guided 5,00,000 students till date. ORCID 0009-0005-8092-459X.
Published and last reviewed: 24 September 2026. Next review: February 2027, when IGNOU usually issues the tentative date sheet for the June cycle. The prospectus is summarised on the site’s IGNOU prospectus page.
Limits, stated plainly. The date sheet is tentative. December 2025 papers for BPHCT-131 and BMTC-131 are listed by IGNOU and will be added to the tables after review; the BMTC-131 table currently rests on three papers. Slots are read from column position. Topic matching is a judgement.
BSCM Guess Paper Questions Learners Ask
An IGNOU BSCM guess paper costs ₹49 per subject code as a PDF or ₹100 per subject code as a printed copy. Printed orders add a one-time ₹100 courier charge, whatever the number of codes, and the PDF has no courier charge. There is no minimum order, so one code or ten costs the same rate per code.
The IGNOU BSCM December 2026 exams start on 25 November 2026 with BPHCT-131, per the tentative date sheet printed on 21 September 2026. The discipline papers end with BMTE-144 on 12 January 2027, and BEVAE-181 is on 13 January 2027. Check the final sheet and your hall ticket before travelling.
Largely, yes. BSCM and BSCG guess papers overlap because both programmes use the same discipline codes, such as BPHCT-131 and BCHCT-131. IGNOU’s papers for these codes were headed BSCG until recently. A BSCG set is usable only if it follows the current pattern, which matters most for BMTC-131 after December 2024.
In BMTC-131 you answer the compulsory question 1 and any eight of questions 2 to 10, per the December 2024 paper. Question 1 has ten true-or-false statements worth 20 marks, and each later question carries 10 marks. The December 2023 and June 2024 papers used any six of seven at 15 marks instead.
Themes, not identical questions, repeat in BCHCT-131. Seven themes, including HBr addition to alkenes, aromaticity and conformations, appeared in all five IGNOU papers from February 2021 to December 2025. That is a past count only; IGNOU can leave out any theme in the next paper.
No, BPHCT-131 is a written paper of 2 hours and 50 marks, per IGNOU’s papers from December 2022 to December 2024. You answer any five 2-mark parts in question 1 and two 5-mark parts in each of questions 2 to 5. The OMR note on the December 2026 sheet applies to BEVAE-181.
Yes, a BSCM set can be prepared in Hindi, because IGNOU examines BSCM in English and Hindi and prints both in each paper. The medium for your code is confirmed on WhatsApp before you pay. The price is the same in either medium: ₹49 as a PDF or ₹100 printed per code.
The difference is who set it. A guess paper is a publisher’s revision set for one course code, such as BCHCT-131, built from several past papers and the syllabus. A previous year paper is the actual paper IGNOU set in one session, free on its archive. The first groups recurring themes; the second shows the exact format of one session.
A solved question paper answers one real IGNOU paper, while a guess paper groups themes from several papers for one code. For BMTC-131, a solved paper from before December 2024 follows the older six-of-seven rule, so check the session before relying on its answer lengths.
Yes, BGYCT-131 and BGYCT-137 both fall on Tuesday 8 December 2026, per the tentative date sheet, with BGYCT-137 in the morning slot and BGYCT-131 in the evening slot. This matters to a learner carrying BGYCT-131 as a backlog. The hall ticket confirms the slot.
BMTE-141 on 9 January 2027 and BMTE-144 on 12 January 2027 are simply placed at the end of the December 2026 cycle by the tentative date sheet. They are the third and fourth BSCM mathematics papers, so a mathematics learner’s revision runs past the New Year.
It depends on the code. The BPHCT-131 and BPHCT-135 papers state that you may use a calculator, while the BMTC-131 papers from December 2023 to December 2024 state that a calculator is not allowed. Read the note printed at the top of your own paper on the day.
Yes, you can order a single BSCM subject code. There is no minimum order: one subject or ten, same rate per format, at ₹49 as a PDF or ₹100 as a printed copy. A Discipline C learner, for example, can order just the codes for that discipline.
BSCM PDFs are shared on WhatsApp once payment is confirmed. A printed copy is dispatched the next day after payment is confirmed, and the courier details are shared on WhatsApp. No arrival date is promised, because transit time depends on the courier and your location.
No, IGNOU BSCM is the Bachelor of Science (Multidisciplinary) of the School of Sciences, a 120-credit degree in which learners take three of seven science disciplines. It is not a supply chain course, although at least one seller page describes it that way.
No, a guess paper does not replace the IGNOU blocks for any BSCM code. It is a revision aid built from past IGNOU papers and the syllabus, and the blocks remain the full course. The blocks are free on eGyanKosh.
