IGNOU runs two admission cycles, and each has its own assignment question paper and its own cut-off. Miss the cut-off and you do not sit the term-end examination for that course, however well you have studied.

Seven core courses in Semester 1 and again in Semester 2 means seven handwritten assignments each time. In IGNOU’s evaluation scheme, continuous assessment through assignments carries 30 per cent of each course’s final result and the term-end examination carries the remaining 70. Those thirty marks are the easiest on the entire course, because you write them at home, with the study material open, and without a three-hour clock running.

They are also the marks most often thrown away. Learners skip an assignment, miss the cut-off, submit after the deadline, or hand in something rushed and illegible in the last week — and then discover on the grade card that the course is incomplete regardless of how the examination went. The assignment is not the part of the MBA that tests you. It is the part that gates you.

IGNOU MBA Course Codes You Can Order Assignments For

The MBA programme carries 28 courses and 116 credits: twenty core courses from MMPC-001 to MMPC-020, seven courses from your chosen specialisation area, and the project course MMPP-001, which counts as two courses. Assignments are issued per course code, so what you order depends entirely on which codes appear on your admission record for the current session.

Semesters 3 and 4 mix core and specialisation courses, so no fixed list fits every learner. How Your Assignment Gets Written

Nothing here is automated and nothing is pulled off a shelf. This is the sequence every order follows.

1. Your codes and session are confirmedCourse codes are matched against the current TMA papers before writing begins. If a code you sent is not valid for this session, you are told before you pay, not after.

3. Answers are drafted to the marks patternWord length follows the marks: roughly 150 to 200 words for a 5-mark question, 300 to 350 for a 10-mark question, and 500 to 700 for larger questions, unless the TMA states otherwise.
4. The copy is handwritten on A4Blue or black pen only. Red and green are left alone because evaluators use them. Key terms underlined once, a left margin of about four centimetres kept clear, a line between answers, and every page numbered.
5. Course-wise binding and despatchEach course is tied or stapled separately, never mixed. The set is couriered to your address, with the assignment cover page fields explained so you can complete and sign them yourself.

This is the part most learners do not realise is possible. If you have already submitted assignments in earlier semesters, or if you simply want the set to look like your own work, send a clear photo of a page you have written yourself. The set is then prepared to match your hand — letter shapes, slant and spacing — instead of being written in a stranger’s script.

It matters for two practical reasons. A learner who submitted Semester 1 in their own hand and Semester 2 in a completely different one looks inconsistent on the record. Where to Get the Official MBA Assignment Questions

Before any assignment writing starts, you need the right paper. IGNOU publishes every Tutor Marked Assignment paper on its own website, free. Whether you order a handwritten copy or write it yourself, you should download and read your own paper first — it is the only way to be certain your session and course code match.

1. Open the official IGNOU assignment download page.
2. Search by programme code (MBA) or by exact course code (for example MMPC-004), and pick your medium — English medium and Hindi medium papers carry different question wording.
3. Check the session printed on the paper. The assignment code carries it — a paper marked MMPC-004/TMA/2026 is valid for the 2026 cycle only.
4. Note the word limit printed against each question. Those limits, not your own judgement, set the length.

Using last session’s paper is the single most common reason an assignment is rejected. If the code on the paper does not match the code on your admission record, stop and check before writing anything. After You Submit: Checking Your MBA Assignment Status and Marks

Submitting is not the last step. Your IGNOU MBA assignment status only turns to submitted once the Study Centre forwards your record, and your assignment marks appear on the grade card weeks later. Both are worth watching, because a set that never reaches the university looks identical to one you never wrote.

1. Keep your submission receipt, acknowledgement or upload confirmation. Without it you have no way to prove the set was handed in.
2. Check the status roughly four to six weeks after submission. Marks are uploaded course-wise, so some MMPC codes may appear before others.
3. If a course still shows nothing after two months, contact your Regional Centre with the receipt rather than waiting for it to correct itself.
