Nine Codes Sit In The MAFCS Table. Eight Of Them Carry A Tutor Marked Assignment.
The ninth is the project manual, and IGNOU prints its code three different ways across two of its own documents. A handwritten MAFCS set is written against the exact MFC paper your record carries, and couriered to your address as a hard copy.
- 64 credits, 9 codes
- Eight papers carry a TMA
- 100 marks a paper
- English-medium programme
- 30 September · 31 March
- Own handwriting matched
Send Your MFC Codes For A Folklore Quote
Send the codes as your registration confirmation prints them, the year they belong to, the session span from the head of your paper, and your pin code. Delivery depends on your pin code and is confirmed for your order before you pay. No figure is promised on this page.
Quick answer. A handwritten assignment is the answer set for IGNOU’s Tutor Marked Assignment questions, written out by hand on A4 and handed in as a hard copy at the Study Centre, and for MAFCS — Master of Arts (Folklore and Culture Studies), the 64-credit two-year degree run by the School of Interdisciplinary and Trans-disciplinary Studies, whose first year carries MFC 001 to MFC 004 at six credits each plus the eight-credit MFCP 005 project manual, and whose second year carries MFC 006 to MFC 009 at eight credits each — ignouproject.com prepares that handwritten set one course code at a time. The rate is ₹320 per subject, hard copy only, with courier included in that price and no separate shipping charge. No soft copy or PDF is sold. The service covers all mediums IGNOU issues the TMA paper in, at the same price, which on MAFCS means the English paper the school publishes, because the July 2026 Common Prospectus records the medium of instruction as English. Any session is accepted, current cycle or older, including backlog courses, at the same ₹320 per subject. Send a photo of a page you have written yourself and the handwritten set is matched to your handwriting at no extra charge. Assignments carry 30 per cent of the final course result and the term-end examination carries the remaining 70 per cent; eight of the nine MAFCS codes carry a Tutor Marked Assignment of 100 marks each, the project manual carries none, the newest MFC booklet dates submission by examination rather than by session at 30 September for the December term-end examination and 31 March for the June one, and orders are placed on WhatsApp at +91 93546 37830 by sending your codes, your year and your session span.
Two Dates Live On One MFC Paper And Only The Newest File Prints Them
Three live MAFCS files were opened for this page and only one of them carries a submission date at all.
For the December examination
30 September
The MFC-008 booklet for July 2025 and January 2026 prints this under the heading for the last date of submission. It is anchored to the examination you are heading towards, not to the session you were admitted in.
For the June examination
31 March
Printed immediately beneath the first date on the same paper. A learner admitted in July who sits the June examination is therefore working to March, which is the reverse of the pairing management pages repeat.
Both combined MAFCS booklets say something different, and the difference matters. The July 2024 and January 2025 file and the July 2023 and January 2024 file print no date whatsoever. In place of one they carry an instruction that the completed assignment should be sent to the Coordinator of the Study Centre allotted to you as per the dates given on the University website. So a MAFCS learner holding an older paper has no cut-off in front of them and a learner holding the newest one has two, and neither file admits the other exists.
That is worth acting on rather than reading past. Take the pair on the newest paper as the shape of the rule — examination-anchored, September and March — and then have your own Regional Centre confirm the actual day for your cycle, because IGNOU has extended these dates repeatedly and an extension is issued centrally rather than reprinted into the booklet. Settle it on ignou.ac.in before any writing plan is built. Urgency on this programme belongs to whichever date your centre has actually issued you, and to nothing published here.
Whichever date turns out to apply, the paper still gates the hall. The MFC-008 booklet states in plain words that it is compulsory to submit your assignment before you can take the term-end examination, and it also asks you to keep a copy of the assignment and to take a receipt from your Study Centre when you hand it over. On a nine-code degree that is nine receipts worth filing.
Why Eight Hundred Marks Ride On Longhand Before Any Folklore Exam
Assignments carry 30 per cent of the final course result and the term-end examination carries the remaining 70 per cent. MAFCS collects that share eight times across the degree, four in the first year and four in the second, and each of the eight papers is a single Tutor Marked Assignment worth 100 marks. Eight hundred marks of a folklore degree are written at a desk at home rather than in a hall.
The rubric is where MAFCS becomes genuinely awkward, because it is not stable. Across the two combined booklets and the standalone paper read for this page, three different instruction lines appear above MFC questions. The 2023-24 file heads MFC-001 and MFC-002 with attempt any five questions, then switches to answer any 5 questions for MFC-003 onwards. The 2024-25 file heads MFC-001 to MFC-004 with attempt all questions and keeps answer any 5 questions for MFC-006 to MFC-009. The same course, MFC-001, therefore asks for a selection in one cycle and for everything in the next.
The count of questions on the page moved too. MFC-008 offered six questions in the 2024-25 file and eight questions in the 2025-26 one, both under the same answer any 5 instruction, so the choice widened without the workload changing. And the 2025-26 paper contradicts itself: its guidelines paragraph tells you to attempt all questions in your own words, while the question block four inches below tells you to answer any five of eight. Read the line printed directly above the numbered questions, not the general guidance above it.
The mark arithmetic is at least steady. Every MFC paper read here totals 100 marks at 20 marks a question, and where a question breaks into parts the booklet prints the split itself, most often four sub-parts at five marks each. First-year papers lean on distinguish the following and write short notes on the following blocks, which look small and are not: four sub-answers inside one numbered question is four separate pieces of prose, and a first-year MFC paper answered properly runs to thirteen distinct written answers rather than five.
These are the marks most quietly surrendered on this programme, because folklore learners are usually reading widely and writing late. Once the Study Centre transmits the figure it attaches to that course code and stays there; the IGNOU assignment status and result checker traces the journey it takes.
Solved Folklore File Or A Written MFC Bundle: Which One Reaches The Counter
Two different objects share one vocabulary in a folklore learner’s WhatsApp thread, and the confusion costs money. Each is defined here once, on first mention.
A solved assignment means a digital answer file: worked responses to one MFC code for one cycle, opened on a phone or laptop and never handed to anybody. A handwritten assignment means the physical article: the same questions worked out in pen over A4 sheets, tagged as one bundle for that code, and carried to the counter. The first is reading. The second is the submission. Nothing downloaded as a PDF can be handed in as a MAFCS submission, and a printed reference file is not a handwritten assignment however cleanly it comes off the printer.
On MAFCS the papers themselves make the point rather than us. The MFC-008 booklet instructs, in its own words, that you should submit the assignment in your own handwriting, and it opens by telling you not to reproduce chunks of information from the course material but to use the skills of critical appreciation acquired during the course. A question asking you to situate Girish Karnad within modern Indian drama, or to read the Cinderella tales across their variants, is an argument to be made, not a definition to be copied out.
| Reference file for an MFC code | Written MFC bundle | |
|---|---|---|
| Format | Soft copy, read on a screen | Hard copy, ink on A4 |
| What the learner does with it | Reads it, then argues the folklore case in their own words | Signs the cover sheet and hands it to the Study Centre |
| Who it suits | A learner with writing hours but no reading hours | A learner with reading hours but no writing hours |
| Handwriting | Never enters the picture | Matched to the learner’s own hand from a photograph |
| Price on this page | Not sold here | ₹320 per subject, courier included |
Scroll the table sideways on a narrow screen to reach the written-bundle column.
If a reference file is genuinely what you came for, it lives in the library of IGNOU solved assignments arranged by programme and course code rather than on this page, and it is worth reading before you write instead of transcribing into a notebook. Nothing on this page is a solved assignment and nothing here is sold as one.
One rate whether the paper is worth six credits or eight. The rate is ₹320 per subject, hard copy only, with courier included in that price and no separate shipping charge. MFC 001 carries six credits and MFC 007 carries eight, and both are quoted identically, because each asks for one hundred marks of answers.
Ordered by code, never by year. There is no minimum order: one subject or fourteen, same rate. A learner short of one second-year paper and a learner rebuilding a whole first year pay the same per code.
The rubric is read off your paper, not assumed. Because the same MFC code has asked for all five questions in one cycle and any five in another, the instruction line above the numbered questions on your own file decides how many answers get written.
Sub-parts counted as answers. A distinguish the following question with four lettered parts is written as four separate pieces at five marks each, in the booklet’s own lettering, rather than as one merged paragraph.
The medium the folklore paper is issued in. The service covers all mediums IGNOU issues the TMA paper in, at the same price. The July 2026 Common Prospectus records the MAFCS medium of instruction as English, and every live MFC paper is published in English, so that is what a MAFCS bundle is written in.
Matched to the hand your centre already holds. Send a photo of a page you have written yourself and the handwritten set is matched to your handwriting at no extra charge. Across eight bundles reaching one Study Centre over two to four years, that consistency is worth having.
Backlog folklore codes are ordinary work. Any session is accepted, current cycle or older, including backlog courses, at the same ₹320 per subject. An MFC-003 left unwritten while you moved into the second-year block is answered against the questions its own cycle set, not against this cycle’s.
No project manual is sold as an assignment. MFCP 005 is the eight-credit project manual and no Tutor Marked Assignment exists behind it. It is not quoted at ₹320 and no written MFCP 005 assignment exists here, because IGNOU sets no questions for it.
The assignment code is copied, not invented. MFC booklets print a two-part string — a course code carrying the session span and an assignment code carrying a TMA number. Both are reproduced from your own paper rather than reconstructed from a pattern.
Paper only, never a file. No soft copy or PDF is sold. Where a Regional Centre later asks for an upload, the scan is taken from the bundle already in your hands, so the ink original never leaves you before the counter sees it.
No claim on the folklore evaluator. No claim is made about the marks any assignment will receive, about how an evaluator will assess it, or about whether it will be accepted. Assignment evaluation is entirely a matter for IGNOU.
No courier figure, on any pin code. Delivery depends on your pin code and is confirmed for your order before you pay. No figure is promised on this page. MAFCS enrolment reaches district centres where a single national number would be dishonest.
Four Papers This Year, Or The Two You Ran Out Of Weeks For
Send The MFC Codes And The Line At The Top Of Your Paper
One reply settles four things: which of your codes actually carry questions, what the set costs, how many written answers it comes to once the sub-parts are counted, and where your pin code stands for delivery.
Every MFC And MFCP Code Across Both Folklore Years
MAFCS is the programme code printed on your admission record and in the Common Prospectus. MFC is the course-code prefix on all eight taught courses. MFCP is the prefix the MAFCS table gives the project manual. PGDFCS is the separate one-year Post Graduate Diploma that shares the whole of the MAFCS first year, and MFCI is the prefix that same prospectus gives the project manual inside the diploma table. That is three prefixes and two awards for one set of courses, which is why a folklore learner searching for their own paper keeps landing on a diploma page.
Section 3.39 of the IGNOU Common Prospectus for July 2026 places MAFCS in the School of Interdisciplinary and Trans-disciplinary Studies, sets eligibility at a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university, records the medium of instruction as English, runs the programme year wise across the January and July cycles, and gives a two-year minimum against a four-year maximum at ₹7,500 a year. Its own footnote describes MAFCS as modular, with the first-year programme being PGDFCS. The credits below were confirmed by summation rather than taken on trust: four courses at six credits plus a project at eight is the 32 of the first year, four courses at eight credits is the 32 of the second, and 32 twice is the stated total of 64.
| Code | Official title | Credits | TMA |
|---|---|---|---|
| MFC 001 | Folklore and Culture: Conceptual Perspectives | 6 | Yes |
| MFC 002 | Tradition, Identity and Cultural Production | 6 | Yes |
| MFC 003 | Cultural and Societal Transformation | 6 | Yes |
| MFC 004 | Tribes of India: Identity, Culture and Lore | 6 | Yes |
| MFCP 005 | Project Manual | 8 | None |
Scroll the table sideways on a narrow screen to reach the TMA column.
The last row is the one that decides how much you are actually ordering. The project manual sits in the first year on this degree, not the last, which is unusual enough to catch learners who expect a capstone at the end and plan their final year around one. It carries eight credits, a quarter of the first-year load, and the assignment booklets exclude it explicitly — the combined files say in their opening line that one assignment is required for each course, MFCP 005 being a project paper. Project work runs through the MAFCS project manual guide and the general project report and dissertation format guide, and it is priced on the list of services and charges rather than at the ₹320 assignment rate.
| Code | Official title | Credits | TMA |
|---|---|---|---|
| MFC 006 | Folklore: Canon, Multimediality, Interdisciplinarity and Social Epistemology | 8 | Yes |
| MFC 007 | Theories and Pedagogy of Folklore | 8 | Yes |
| MFC 008 | Folk Representations | 8 | Yes |
| MFC 009 | Approaches to Folklore | 8 | Yes |
Scroll the table sideways on a narrow screen to reach the TMA column.
Second-year MAFCS is four papers and nothing else — no elective basket, no specialisation stream, no second project. Every learner in the second year holds the same four codes, which makes MAFCS one of the few IGNOU master’s degrees where two learners in the same year genuinely do share a paper list. Titles are reproduced exactly as the prospectus prints them, indexed on the IGNOU prospectus archive, and should still be checked against your own registration confirmation.
One credit note applies to older learners only. The prospectus records that a two-credit Translation of Folklore Coursework is allotted to students who completed PGDFCS at 30 credits between 2009 and 2020 and then joined the second year on the modular route, with the folk texts to be translated approved by email by the Programme Coordinator. It is coursework rather than a Tutor Marked Assignment, and it is not part of the standard nine-code table above.
Folklore code conflicts found by reading IGNOU’s documents against each other, including two on this site
- One project paper, three codes, two credit values. The MAFCS table in section 3.39 calls it MFCP 005 and gives it 8 credits. The PGDFCS table in section 8.37 of the same July 2026 prospectus calls it MFCI 5 and gives it 6 credits. Both MAFCS assignment booklets call it MFC-005. Three strings and two figures for one piece of work, inside two documents published by the same university.
- IGNOU’s MAFCS booklet calls your degree a diploma. The July 2024 and January 2025 file has MASTER’S OF ARTS M.A. IN FOLKLORE AND CULTURE STUDIES (MAFCS) on its cover and Programme: MAFCS on its first page, and then tells you that you are required to do one assignment for each course of the PG Diploma in Folklore and Culture Studies. The July 2023 and January 2024 file repeats the same sentence. It is a template carry-over from the diploma booklet, not a statement about your registration, and cross-reading confirmed it: the standalone MFC-008 booklet for July 2025 and January 2026 names the MA Folklore and Culture Studies Programme correctly.
- Section 3.39 and section 8.37 disagree on how big the diploma is. The MAFCS section states in prose that the first-year programme is PGDFCS at 32 credits. The PGDFCS section’s own table totals 30. The MAFCS first-year table does sum to 32, so the difference is the project paper being worth eight credits in one document and six in the other.
- The same course is titled two ways. MFC 004 is Tribes of India: Identity, Culture and Lore in the MAFCS table and on both assignment booklet covers. In the PGDFCS table it is Tribes of India: Identity, Culture and Folklore. The MAFCS wording is the one the live papers use.
- Code padding is inconsistent across IGNOU’s own files. The MAFCS table prints MFC 001 with a space and three digits. The PGDFCS table prints MFC 1 with a space and one digit. The assignment booklets print MFC-001 with a hyphen, then write the same code as MFC008, MFC-008 and MFC – 008 within a single cover page. Sellers list a fourth form, MFC-01. Write the form your own registration confirmation shows.
- Foolscap or A4, depending on which booklet you opened. The 2025-26 MFC-008 paper says to use foolscap or A4 size paper. Both combined booklets say to use only A4 paper size. A4 is the safe reading, because it is the form both of the more recent instructions allow.
- The school is named four ways. Section 3.39 says School of Interdisciplinary and Trans-disciplinary Studies. Section 8.37 says School of Intra-Disciplinary and Trans-Disciplinary Studies. The combined booklet covers say School of Inter-disciplinary and Transdisciplinary Studies. All are SOITS.
- A numbered instruction is missing from the newest paper. The instruction list on the 2025-26 MFC-008 booklet runs 1, 3, 4, 5. There is no item 2. Nothing appears to be lost from the sense — the enrolment block and the study-centre block are both there — but the numbering is IGNOU’s, not a scanning artefact of ours.
- The MAFCS index and the school folder are a year apart. IGNOU’s MAFCS programme index on the assignment portal lists three sessions and stops at July 2024 and January 2025. The July 2025 and January 2026 papers are already live on the university’s own SOITS file path, one course at a time. Both addresses are IGNOU. If the index looks a year behind, that is the index.
- On this website, pending correction. Our navigation labels the diploma project page PGDFCS (Folklore and Culture Studies) while the page slug behind it reads folklore and cultural studies and carries the code MFC-15, which matches neither MFCP 005 nor MFCI 5. Our own MAFCS project page is filed under MFCP-5 while the prospectus prints MFCP 005. Both are queued for correction, and the code table above is the position that governs.
- Also on this website, pending correction. Four statements elsewhere on this estate contradict the ones above: an acceptance-and-refund promise on our homepage, a fixed working-day dispatch figure on the MMPC-001 course page, a Hindi paper offered on the MEG assignment page that IGNOU never published, and a universal date pair on our general assignment hub. Our sister store shrichakradhar.com advertises a fixed working-day courier window, which is not a claim this page makes and cannot be checked from the Search Console property behind this site. None of those statements is repeated here, every one of them is logged for correction, and where they and this page disagree, this page is correct.
From A Nine-Code Record To Tied MFC Bundles
Five stages sit between a WhatsApp message and a couriered parcel. The first two exist because MAFCS shares its whole first year with a diploma, and because the rubric on an MFC paper has not stayed still.
- Each code is checked for a paper before a price is quoted. A project code in your list is set aside and explained rather than counted, and a first-year code is confirmed against the MAFCS file rather than the diploma one, since the two carry the same course numbers. The figure you get back counts papers with questions behind them, not the codes you happened to type.
- The session span is read off the head of your own file. An MFC paper states its span twice, once on the cover as a course code carrying the years and once above the questions as an assignment code. Send those lines as they read and each answer is written against the questions that belong to that cycle rather than against whatever is newest on the portal.
- The instruction line decides the answer count. Whether your paper says attempt all questions, attempt any five or answer any five is read from the line directly above the numbered questions, and the sub-parts inside a distinguish the following or write short notes question are counted as separate answers at the marks the booklet prints for them.
- Answers are argued out of the MAFCS blocks. A question on Sanskritization and the palace paradigm, on scripto-centric and phono-centric approaches, or on the Marga-Deshi dichotomy is answered from the programme’s own units, because the counsellor marks against the block. Those blocks cost nothing: eGyanKosh hosts them, the Gyankosh access page covers the alternate door in, and IGNOU books download indexes the rest.
- A4 in blue or black, tagged per code, cover sheet left blank, then couriered. The MFC booklets ask you to tag all the pages carefully and to write the relevant question number with each answer, and both are done. Red and green stay out because evaluators claim those colours, key terms are underlined once, the left edge is kept clear for comments, and each code travels as its own bundle with the sheet on top unfilled — the cover page filling walkthrough and the blank front page format PDF show that layout in advance.
Getting The Set Written In Your Own Folk Hand
Send a photo of a page you have written yourself and the handwritten set is matched to your handwriting at no extra charge. One sheet of your ordinary writing, photographed square on in daylight, carries enough of your slant, your letter height and the joins you make out of habit to run through a whole course.
On MAFCS the argument is about duration rather than volume. Eight bundles reach one Study Centre against one enrolment number, and the project manual keeps a folklore learner in touch with the same office for longer than a taught-only degree would — a registration that may run the full four years the prospectus allows. A second-year Approaches to Folklore bundle arriving in a visibly different hand from the first-year Conceptual Perspectives bundle beside it is an avoidable inconsistency in a file nobody closes until the degree does. The photograph is used for that order and discarded with it.
Writing the MAFCS set yourself is the better outcome, and every route to it is free here.
Every technique a folklore learner needs is set out free in our step-by-step guide to writing an IGNOU handwritten assignment. Check margins and numbering against the assignment format and structure rules, read a worked sample IGNOU assignment to gauge how much a twenty-mark folklore answer actually needs, and use the comparison of online and offline submission once the bundles are tied. If your Regional Centre issues you anything in Devanagari, the guidance on writing IGNOU assignments in Hindi covers the script points, though the MAFCS papers themselves are published in English. None of it is paywalled. What this page sells is time, to a learner who already has the folklore and has run out of evenings.
Two Free Folklore Utilities, Free Whether Or Not You Order
Both utilities run entirely in your browser, send nothing anywhere and keep nothing. The first exists because only the newest MFC booklet prints a cut-off and it is anchored to the examination rather than to the session. The second exists because one of the nine MAFCS codes has no paper behind it, and because the project code is printed three different ways across IGNOU’s own documents.
Free tool 1
MFC Paper Count And TEE Cut-Off Planner
Pick where you are in MAFCS or type how many MFC papers you are short on, then choose the term-end examination you are working towards. The planner totals the cost at ₹320 each, counts the days from today to the date the newest MFC booklet prints for that examination, and estimates the longhand at the hundred-mark length an MFC paper asks for.
Choosing a stage fills the count below. MFCP 005 is excluded from every option because the project manual carries no Tutor Marked Assignment.
A whole number from 1 to 8. Eight is every taught paper on the degree.
These are the two dates printed on the MFC-008 booklet for July 2025 and January 2026. Confirm the day your own Regional Centre is applying to your cycle.
Pick a stage or type a paper count, then select Work Out Cost And Days Left.
Confirm This Folklore Total At ₹320 A Paper
This tool is guidance from ignouproject.com, not an IGNOU rule. Using it creates no obligation to order anything. The longhand figure is a planning estimate, and the two dates come from one live MFC booklet rather than from a university-wide notification.
Free tool 2
MFC Code, Year And Rubric Checker
Type one MAFCS course code and choose the session span printed at the top of your paper. The checker returns the official title, the credits, the year the code belongs to, whether a Tutor Marked Assignment exists for it at all, the assignment code form IGNOU prints for that span, the instruction line that span’s paper carries, and the checklist that applies.
Spaces and hyphens are ignored, so MFC 001, MFC-001 and mfc1 all resolve. MFCP 005, MFCI 5 and MFC-005 are all recognised as the project manual.
The span decides the assignment code shown and the instruction line, because the rubric above the MFC questions has changed between cycles.
Type a code such as MFC 007 or MFCP 005, then select Check This MFC Code.
Have This One Folklore Paper Written At ₹320
This tool is guidance from ignouproject.com, not an IGNOU rule. Using it creates no obligation to order anything. Titles and credits follow the July 2026 Common Prospectus and should still be checked against your own registration confirmation.
Eight Papers, Eight Hundred Marks, One Thread
Keep The Folklore You Want To Argue. Hand Over The Rest.
Order one code or all eight. The rate does not move, the papers you want to write yourself stay yours, and any code without a question paper behind it is named and removed from the total before you pay anything.
Tracking Down An MFC Paper When The Index And The School Folder Disagree
The MAFCS question paper is free from the university and should be taken from the university, whoever ends up writing the pages. Four steps, and on this programme the third is where folklore learners come unstuck.
- Start at IGNOU’s own download service. Open the IGNOU assignment download service or the assignment portal and choose the Master’s Degree listing, then MAFCS. Do not type a file address from memory: MAFCS files have changed shape between spans, from one combined PDF covering eight courses to one file per course, and an edited path returns nothing.
- Read which award the opening paragraph names. Both combined MAFCS files describe themselves as belonging to the PG Diploma. That sentence is a template carry-over and does not mean you have downloaded the wrong file — check the cover, which names the MA, and the course list, which runs to MFC-009.
- If the index stops short, search the course code separately. The MAFCS index carries three sessions and its newest is July 2024 and January 2025. Individual 2025-26 papers already exist under the school’s own file path on ignou.ac.in. Search the bare course code on the university site before concluding that nothing newer has been published for your cycle.
- Read the instruction line, not last year’s habit. Because the rubric above the MFC questions has moved between cycles, the number of answers your paper wants is a property of that paper alone. Confirm it every session, and confirm with your Regional Centre which set they will accept for your batch.
With the assignment paper downloaded, the examination half becomes the next problem, and it is not the same problem: the archive of solved question papers and the previous year paper collection show how a folklore question is set for three hours in a hall rather than for a fortnight at a desk.
Where A Folklore Mark Lands After The Study Centre Stamp
Handing the bundle over is not the end of the transaction. The MFC-008 booklet tells you in writing to keep a copy of your assignment and to take a receipt from your Study Centre when you submit it, so photograph or photocopy the pages before they leave you and file the receipt with them.
Three handovers stand between the counter and your record. The Study Centre logs receipt first, the evaluated award then travels to the Student Evaluation Division, and a number lands beside that MFC code at the end of the chain. Two different screens report on the journey and they do not report the same thing: one confirms only that a bundle arrived, while the grade card is where a figure appears. Arrival is traced on the assignment marks status lookup; the number itself surfaces on the assignment grade card explainer. Use the grade card status page when an MFC code stays blank for months, and the final grade card guide when both halves have landed.
A MAFCS course sitting as incomplete has a cause peculiar to a modular degree: the outstanding component is often the project manual waiting on a supervisor rather than a taught paper, and a learner who arrived through PGDFCS may be carrying a first-year code the second-year record does not display. Each of those lookups opens by asking for the identifier explained on the enrolment number lookup page. With both halves posted, the percentage calculator or the CGPA calculator converts them into a figure you can read, while a disputed examination mark goes through the revaluation route, which reaches the term-end script and never the assignment. Broader timing sits on the IGNOU result page and the MA result page, and the counter itself is covered by the submission walkthrough and the general assignment hub. That hub currently prints one pair of universal submission dates, which is exactly the assumption this page exists to unpick.
What Folklore Learners Put In The Same Message
A written-set order is usually one line of a longer message. These are the other things MAFCS learners ask about, each on its own page so you can read before deciding.
For the seventy per cent the assignment does not touch. Most of a folklore result sits with the term-end script, so the guess paper collection and the unit-wise study notes earn more of your evening than any bundle does, with the help book range, the online guide books and the study material index reducing the blocks to something revisable.
MFCP 005, which is a different kind of work entirely. Eight credits of supervised folklore fieldwork written up as a report runs through the synopsis and proposal service and the project and dissertation service, and the folk texts you intend to work on need the Programme Coordinator’s approval by email first.
The diploma that shares your first year. PGDFCS holders arriving on the modular route often still need first-year codes written, and the PGDFCS project guidance page covers the diploma’s own project component, which is the same manual under a different code.
Medium, session, and why an MFC paper stops being valid. The service covers all mediums IGNOU issues the TMA paper in, at the same price. On MAFCS that phrase does less work than it does elsewhere: section 3.39 records the medium of instruction as English and every live MFC paper is published in English, so a folklore bundle is written in English at ₹320 per subject and the medium question ends there. On sessions: an MFC paper belongs to the span printed on its cover and stops being useful once that span has closed, which is easy to miss on this programme because two of the three published files carry no date to expire against. Any session is accepted, current cycle or older, including backlog courses, at the same ₹320 per subject. Name the span from the head of your own file and each paper is answered against its own questions rather than against the newest set on the portal.
Sending An MFC Order Without A Form Or A Login
No form sits on this page, no account is opened and nothing is logged into. Everything happens on WhatsApp at +91 93546 37830, and nothing counts as finished on delivery — it counts as finished once a stamp from your Study Centre exists on a receipt in your hand.
- One message carrying five details. Your MFC or MFCP codes exactly as your registration confirmation prints them; the year each one sits in; the session span from the head of your paper; your delivery pin code; and one photograph of a page in your own handwriting.
- A reply carrying two numbers before anything is charged. Where Each Folklore Fact On This Page Was Read
From the IGNOU Common Prospectus, July 2026. Section 3.39 supplied the School of Interdisciplinary and Trans-disciplinary Studies placement, the bachelor’s-degree eligibility, the English medium of instruction, the two-year minimum against a four-year maximum, the year-wise January and July cycles, the ₹7,500 annual fee, the modular description with PGDFCS as the first year, all nine course codes with their official titles and credits, the 64-credit total and the two-credit Translation of Folklore Coursework note for pre-2020 diploma holders. The credit totals were confirmed by summation rather than accepted as printed. Section 8.37 supplied the PGDFCS table against which the MFCI 5 code, the six-credit project figure, the 30-credit diploma total and the alternative MFC 004 title were compared.
From live IGNOU assignment files. Reading one file would have been useless here, because the error worth reporting on MAFCS lives in the gap between files; three were opened for that reason. The MFC-008 booklet for July 2025 and January 2026, published on the university’s SOITS file path, gave the two submission dates, the 100-mark total, the eight-question answer any 5 block, the cover-page field layout, the foolscap-or-A4 line, the own-handwriting instruction and the receipt-and-copy instruction. The combined July 2024 and January 2025 file gave the eight-course scope, the exclusion of the project paper, the A4-only instruction, the assignment code form and the first-year attempt all questions rubric. The combined July 2023 and January 2024 file gave the earlier attempt any five rubric and confirmed that the PG Diploma sentence appears in more than one cycle, which is what established it as an error rather than a one-off. The published-session position was read off IGNOU’s own MAFCS programme index.
From ignouproject.com as publisher. What a folklore bundle costs, what shape it arrives in, which sessions are accepted and whether your hand is copied are commercial choices made at this desk. The rate is ₹320 per subject, hard copy only, with courier included in that price and no separate shipping charge. No soft copy or PDF is sold. There is no minimum order: one subject or fourteen, same rate. Delivery depends on your pin code and is confirmed for your order before you pay. No figure is promised on this page. None of that is an IGNOU rule and IGNOU has no part in any of it.
Something wrong above, or a folklore code that has moved since this review? Write through the contact page and it will be checked against the live file and dated. Who publishes this is set out on the about page, and what happens to anything you send is in the privacy policy.

Published 22 August 2026. Last reviewed 22 August 2026. Next scheduled review 1 September 2026, ahead of the 30 September date the newest MFC booklet prints for the December examination, and again by 1 March 2027 ahead of the 31 March date it prints for the June examination.
What MAFCS Learners Ask Before They Send Codes
The rate is ₹320 per subject, hard copy only, with courier included in that price and no separate shipping charge. That covers any MFC code, whether it is a six-credit first-year paper or an eight-credit second-year one, because every MFC paper carries the same hundred marks. There is no minimum order: one subject or fourteen, same rate.
The MFC-008 booklet for July 2025 and January 2026 prints 30 September for the December term-end examination and 31 March for the June one, anchored to the examination rather than to the session you were admitted in. The two older combined MAFCS booklets print no date at all and refer you to the university website instead. Dates also shift by cycle and by Regional Centre, so confirm yours on ignou.ac.in and with your own centre before planning any writing.
Because IGNOU changed how it publishes MAFCS papers. The older files are single combined booklets covering eight courses at once, and they route the learner to the university website for dates. The newest files are published one course at a time on the School of Interdisciplinary and Trans-disciplinary Studies file path, and those carry the dates on the page. Neither is wrong; they are two generations of the same paper. Read the file you actually hold.
Yes, all three name the project manual, and the inconsistency is IGNOU’s own. The MAFCS table in the July 2026 Common Prospectus calls it MFCP 005 at eight credits. The PGDFCS table in the same document calls it MFCI 5 at six credits. Both MAFCS assignment booklets call it MFC-005 when they exclude it from the assignment list. Write whichever form your registration confirmation prints.
No. The MAFCS assignment booklets state in their opening line that one assignment is required for each course, with MFCP 005 being a project paper, and no question paper is published for it. It is not quoted at ₹320 here and no written MFCP 005 assignment exists, because there are no questions to answer. It is project work, and the folk texts you propose to study need the Programme Coordinator’s email approval.
It is a template carry-over from the diploma booklet, not a statement about your registration. The cover of that file says Master’s of Arts and its first page says Programme: MAFCS, and then the instruction paragraph names the PG Diploma. The same sentence appears in the July 2023 and January 2024 file as well, and the standalone MFC-008 booklet for 2025-26 names the MA programme correctly, which is how it was confirmed as an error rather than a variant.
It depends on which paper you are holding, which is the awkward part. The 2023-24 file heads MFC-001 with attempt any five questions. The 2024-25 file heads the same course with attempt all questions. Every second-year paper in both files says answer any 5 questions. The 2025-26 MFC-008 paper says answer any 5 of the 8 printed, while its own general guidelines paragraph above says attempt all questions. Follow the line printed directly above the numbered questions.
One hundred marks, on every MFC paper read for this page, and each paper is a single Tutor Marked Assignment rather than a set of two or three. Questions carry twenty marks each, and where a question breaks into parts the booklet prints its own split, most often four sub-parts at five marks. Assignments carry 30 per cent of the final course result and the term-end examination carries the remaining 70 per cent.
A solved assignment is a soft-copy reference file of model answers for one course code and session, read on a screen. A handwritten assignment is those answers written out by hand on A4 and submitted as a physical bundle at your Study Centre. The first is reading; the second is the submission. Nothing downloaded as a PDF can be handed in, and this page sells only the written bundle.
The MFC-008 booklet instructs that you should submit the assignment in your own handwriting, and the combined booklets carry the same line as a numbered instruction. A printed reference file is not a handwritten assignment however cleanly it prints. If your Regional Centre asks for an upload, you scan the written pages yourself and send the PDF, which is a different thing from submitting a printout.
Section 3.39 of the July 2026 Common Prospectus records the MAFCS medium of instruction as English, and every live MFC paper is published in English. The service covers all mediums IGNOU issues the TMA paper in, at the same price, so if your Regional Centre issues you something in another medium it is written at the same ₹320 per subject, but on current evidence there is no Hindi MFC paper to write against.
MFC booklets print two strings and they are not interchangeable. The cover carries a course code with the session span attached, in the form MFC-008/2025-26. The block above the questions carries the assignment code, in the form MFC-008/TMA-01/2025-26. Copy both from your own paper. The TMA-01 segment tells you there is one tutor marked assignment for that course, not two.
Search the bare course code on ignou.ac.in before assuming nothing newer exists. The MAFCS programme index on the assignment portal lists three sessions and its newest is July 2024 and January 2025, but individual July 2025 and January 2026 papers are already published under the school’s own file path. If both exist, answer the newest one your Regional Centre confirms it will accept for your batch.
IGNOU’s own instructions differ. The 2025-26 MFC-008 booklet says foolscap or A4 size paper. Both combined booklets say to use only A4 paper size. A4 is the safer choice because it satisfies both instructions, and it is what a handwritten set prepared here is written on. Tag all the pages carefully, which every MFC booklet asks for in writing.
Yes. Any session is accepted, current cycle or older, including backlog courses, at the same ₹320 per subject. Send the session span printed at the head of the paper you were issued, because the questions changed between cycles and so did the instruction line above them. A backlog MFC-002 is written against its own cycle’s questions, not against the newest set.
No soft copy or PDF is sold. This page sells a written hard copy and nothing else. If a reference file is what you want, the solved assignments library linked earlier on this page is where it sits, and it should be read before you write rather than copied into a notebook.
Send a photo of a page you have written yourself and the handwritten set is matched to your handwriting at no extra charge. One page of ordinary writing, photographed square on in daylight, is enough. It matters on MAFCS because eight bundles reach one Study Centre across a registration that can run four years, and the earlier ones are already in your hand.
No. The rate is ₹320 per subject, hard copy only, with courier included in that price and no separate shipping charge. What is not promised is a delivery time: delivery depends on your pin code and is confirmed for your order before you pay. No figure is promised on this page.

Send The Codes. The Hundred Marks A Paper Are Our Problem.
First year or second, a current span or one carried forward from an older booklet. Every code arrives tagged as its own bundle with the cover sheet laid out and left blank for you to sign, and the code with no paper behind it is named rather than quietly billed.
