Five Questions, Eight Hundred Words Each, And A Paper That Carries No TMA Code

Every MADVS paper on IGNOU’s site is one assignment of five questions, twenty marks apiece, with a printed instruction to write around eight hundred words for each. That is four thousand words of longhand per course code, and the paper you download will not carry a TMA string to identify itself by. It carries an assignment number instead, and the numbers do not follow the codes.

  • 72 credits, 13 taught codes
  • 14 numbered assignments
  • 800 words a question
  • English medium only
  • Year wise, not semester
  • 31 March and 30 September

₹320 for one code · written by hand · delivery already inside that figure · no cycle refused

Send Your MDV Code List For A Quote

Send the codes the way your registration confirmation spells them, whether you are in Year One or Year Two, the session printed on the cover of the booklet you downloaded, and your delivery pin code. Delivery depends on your pin code and is confirmed for your order before you pay. No figure is promised on this page.

Quick answer. A handwritten assignment is the answer set for IGNOU’s Tutor Marked Assignment questions, written out by hand and handed in as a hard copy, and for MADVS, the 72-credit Master of Arts (Development Studies) run by the School of Extension and Development Studies across two years rather than four semesters, in which thirteen taught course codes carry a question paper under two prefixes (MDV and MEDS) and the twelve-credit MDVP 117 Project Work carries none, ignouproject.com prepares that handwritten set one course code at a time. The rate is ₹320 per subject, hard copy only, with courier included in that price and no separate shipping charge. No soft copy or PDF is sold. The service covers all mediums IGNOU issues the TMA paper in, at the same price, which on MADVS resolves to the English paper, because section 3.46 of the July 2026 Common Prospectus records the medium of instruction as English. Any session is accepted, current cycle or older, including backlog courses, at the same ₹320 per subject. Send a photo of a page you have written yourself and the handwritten set is matched to your handwriting at no extra charge. Assignments carry 30 per cent of the final course result and the term-end examination carries the remaining 70 per cent, collected here through one hundred-mark paper per code built from five twenty-mark questions with a printed guideline of around eight hundred words each, due on 31 March for a July session and 30 September for a January session. Orders go to WhatsApp +91 93546 37830 with your codes and your year.

March And September, Not April And October

Instruction 5 on every live MADVS booklet opened for this page prints the same pair, and it is not the pair most study-help sites reproduce for this programme. The School of Extension and Development Studies works to a March and September calendar. The management school’s October and April pair, which circulates widely as though it were universal, does not govern a MDV code.

Printed as instruction 5 on the MDV-004, MDV-103 and MDV-110 booklets for the current cycle

31 March

The cut-off the booklet gives for the July session. On the file carrying the July 2025 and January 2026 questions that reads as 31 March 2026, and the pattern rolls forward with the cycle.

30 September

The cut-off the booklet gives for the January session, printed as 30 September 2026 on the same file, with a bracketed instruction to check the university website in case the date has been extended.

The booklet itself adds the qualifier: check the university website for date extension, if any.

That bracket matters more than it looks. IGNOU has moved these dates within a cycle before, and the 2020-21 MADVS set printed 30 March rather than 31 March for its July session, so even the day of the month has shifted once inside living memory of the programme. Dates also move by Regional Centre. Confirm the operative one on ignou.ac.in and with your own Regional Centre before you commit to any writing schedule. The only real urgency a development studies learner faces is the date printed on their own file and whatever their own centre has issued since. Nothing on this page expires by anyone’s design but IGNOU’s.

One further line on the current booklets changes how a backlog learner should think about all of this: irrespective of the year and session of your registration, you are told to submit the latest assignments uploaded on the website. A MADVS paper is therefore not archived by your admission year the way a semester programme’s paper is. If you registered in 2023 and are clearing MDV 105 now, the questions you answer are this cycle’s questions, not the ones that were live when you enrolled. Order against the paper currently posted, and say your admission year in the message so the point can be checked rather than assumed.

Four Thousand Words Per Course Is Where The Thirty Per Cent Goes

Assignments carry 30 per cent of the final course result and the term-end examination carries the remaining 70 per cent. What separates MADVS from most programmes is not the share but the volume behind it. Guideline 3(a) on the current booklets asks that each answer run to around eight hundred words. Five questions at twenty marks each, at around eight hundred words each, is roughly four thousand words of longhand for one six-credit course code, before the diagrams a development planning or research methodology answer usually needs.

Run that across a first year and the figure stops being abstract. Six compulsory papers in Year One is somewhere near twenty-four thousand handwritten words. A learner taking six taught papers in Year Two alongside the project reaches a similar figure again. Nothing in that is intellectually hard. It is simply a quantity of writing that a working adult does not have loose evenings for, which is why the thirty per cent is surrendered so often by people who understood the blocks perfectly well.

The eight-hundred-word figure is also newer than most MADVS learners realise. The consolidated 2020-21 MADVS booklet asked for answers of around six hundred words. The current files ask for around eight hundred. The marks did not change, the question count did not change, and the credit value did not change. The expected length rose by a third, and nobody announced it. If you are working from a senior’s notes or an older solved file, you are working to a shorter target than your own paper prints.

There is one more structural point worth holding. The booklet says you will do one assignment with five questions for each course, and every MADVS paper read for this page obeys it: no section A and section B split, no short-answer block, no practical component, no choice of questions. All five are compulsory and all five carry the same twenty marks. That uniformity is a genuine convenience compared with programmes that change the pattern between papers, and it means the arithmetic above holds for every code you are registered in. Once your Study Centre passes the figure up it stays against that course code for good, and the assignment status and result tracker is where you watch it land.

A File You Read Against A Bundle You Hand Over

Two different things arrive on WhatsApp worded almost identically, and only one of them can be handed across a counter, so both are defined here before either is weighed against the other.

A solved assignment is a soft-copy reference file of model answers for one course code and one session, meant to be read alongside the study blocks while you compose your own version. A handwritten assignment is those answers written out by hand on paper, tied per course code, and submitted in hard copy at the study centre allotted to you. The first is preparation. The second is the submission. Printing the first does not turn it into the second, and the MADVS booklet settles the point in its own words at instruction 4: you should write in your own handwriting, and only handwritten assignments are evaluated.

On MADVS the distance between the two is unusually wide, because of what four thousand words of development studies actually contains. A MDV 110 paper asks you to classify training methods and explain two with merits and demerits, and to discuss the systems approach to training alongside action research and total quality management. A MDV 004 paper asks for classical liberal feminism against second wave feminism, and for engendering governance explained through grassroots participation. A MDV 103 paper asks for the causes of poverty, the measures against climate change and the case for e-governance. Those are answers with named frameworks and worked structure inside them, and copying one off a screen without following its argument produces a clean bundle that still reads as unlearned to a counsellor marking against the blocks.

What The Rate Covers On A Six-Credit Development Paper

Twelve statements before any code reaches a price. The first six are where a MADVS bundle goes wrong. The last six are limits this page will not soften for anybody.

  • One rate across both prefixes. The rate is ₹320 per subject, hard copy only, with courier included in that price and no separate shipping charge. A MDV research methodology paper and a MEDS urban development paper are priced identically, even though the second was written for a different programme family.
  • Five answers, not a guessed number. Every MADVS paper carries exactly five compulsory questions at twenty marks each. There is no choice to exercise and nothing to leave out, so a bundle is quoted and produced against five, never against an assumed short set.
  • The assignment number is looked up, not inferred. MDV 103 is Assignment 3, MDV 004 is Assignment 6 and MDV 110 is Assignment 9. The number does not track the code order, and it is read off the paper before anything is written, because the cover sheet asks for it explicitly.
  • Padding is resolved rather than bounced. The prospectus prints MDV 4 and MEDS 41. The live booklets print MDV – 004 and MEDS 041. Whichever form you send is matched to the paper instead of being returned as an unrecognised code.
  • The cover on the file is checked, not assumed. A MDV code can arrive inside a booklet headed Post Graduate Diploma in Development Studies rather than Master of Arts (Development Studies). The questions are still yours. The programme code you write on the sheet is not.
  • The current paper, not your admission year’s. The booklet instructs that irrespective of your year and session of registration you submit the latest assignments uploaded on the website, so a 2023 backlog code is answered against this cycle’s questions rather than the ones live when you enrolled.
  • Matched to the hand you already write in. Send a photo of a page you have written yourself and the handwritten set is matched to your handwriting at no extra charge. Two years of bundles landing against one enrolment number is a long time for a hand to change halfway.
  • Whatever medium IGNOU issues. The service covers all mediums IGNOU issues the TMA paper in, at the same price. On MADVS the July 2026 Common Prospectus records the medium of instruction as English and every live file read for this page is English, so in practice that clause resolves to one paper rather than a choice.
  • Ordered by code, never by year. There is no minimum order: one subject or fourteen, same rate. Two MADVS learners in the same second year share nothing compulsory at all, because the whole of Year Two is thirty-six credits chosen from fifty-four.
  • A backlog code is ordinary work. Any session is accepted, current cycle or older, including backlog courses, at the same ₹320 per subject. A learner who entered laterally from the diploma and left one first-year code behind is handled the same way as a fresh registration.
  • Paper only, never a file. No soft copy or PDF is sold. If an upload is demanded at your end, the scanning is yours to do from the bundle that arrives, so the inked original never leaves your hands before a receipt exists for it.
  • Nothing is claimed about the outcome. No claim is made about the marks any assignment will receive, about how an evaluator will assess it, or about whether it will be accepted. Assignment evaluation is entirely a matter for IGNOU. Delivery depends on your pin code and is confirmed for your order before you pay. No figure is promised on this page.

Thirteen Codes, Fourteen Numbers, One Rate

Paste the codes exactly as your registration confirmation spells them. The reply names the assignment number each one carries in the MADVS booklet, the programme printed on the cover of the file that holds it, and a total that prices only the papers that exist. MDVP 117 is flagged and removed rather than quietly billed.

Fourteen Numbered Assignments Across Thirteen MDV And MEDS Codes

MADVS is the programme code printed on your admission record and in section 3.46 of the Common Prospectus. The course codes underneath it come from two prefixes rather than one: MDV on nine of the taught papers and the project, and MEDS on the two urban development papers borrowed from the school’s town-planning stable. One degree, two prefixes, and a second-year list that reaches into another programme’s course family.

Section 3.46 places MADVS in the School of Extension and Development Studies, records eligibility as a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university, records the medium of instruction as English, and sets a two-year minimum against a four-year maximum at ₹8,000 per year, ₹16,000 in total. The programme summary table on the fee pages records the mode as year wise across the January and July cycles, which is what separates MADVS from the semester-examined master’s degrees elsewhere in the university and is why nothing on this page is organised by semester.

The credits below were added rather than trusted. Six first-year courses at six credits each reaches thirty-six. The second year instructs you to choose any thirty-six credits from a list that prints fifty-four when every row is counted, because MDVP 117 alone carries twelve. Thirty-six and thirty-six reaches the seventy-two the structure implies. Counting every printed row instead gives ninety, which is the arithmetic that tells you the second-year list is a menu and not a syllabus.

Drag the table across if your screen is narrow, since the assignment number sits in the last column.

Thirty-six credits, six papers, and something worth knowing before you download anything: these same six courses at these same thirty-six credits are the entire Post Graduate Diploma in Development Studies. Section 8.20 of the same prospectus lists MDV 101, MDV 102, MDV 103, MDV 106, MDV 109 and MDV 4 and closes the table with the words Total Credits 36. That diploma is sold as a standalone programme and section 3.46 records that a learner who completes it may take lateral entry into the second year of MADVS. A first-year MADVS learner and a PGDDVS learner are therefore answering the identical six question papers, and the only thing that separates their bundles is the programme code each writes on the cover sheet. Write yours deliberately.

MDVP 117Project Work, equivalent to two courses12No question paper

The assignment number is the rightmost column again; drag the table across to reach it.

Two things in that table decide what a second-year order actually looks like. The first is that nothing in it is compulsory: the instruction is to choose any thirty-six credits, so two learners admitted in the same July can hold entirely different second-year code lists and neither is wrong. The second is MDVP 117, which carries twelve credits, is described in the prospectus as equivalent to two courses, and has no Tutor Marked Assignment behind it at all. Take the project and you are buying assignments for four taught papers rather than six. Skip it and you need all six taught papers to reach thirty-six credits, because six sixes is the only other way there. That single decision changes a second-year order by two subjects, and it is worth stating in your first message.

MEDS 41 and MEDS 42 are the other quiet feature. Both are urban development papers, both sit in the same School of Extension and Development Studies, and both are taught in the school’s town-planning programmes as well. The PGDUPDL urban planning project guide and the MAUS urban studies project guide cover the MEDSP side of that family, which is where a MADVS learner who enjoys the urban papers usually looks next. Assignment 11 in the booklet, sitting between MDV 111 and MEDS 041, is discussed in the conflict box below, because it is the one row that section 3.46 does not account for.

Where The Prospectus And The Booklets Disagree

Each item was verified by reading IGNOU’s own documents against one another before publishing. The last item is a group of errors on this website, queued for correction.

  • One course, two paddings, and neither is a typing slip. Section 3.46 prints the gender course as MDV 4, and section 8.20 prints it as MDV 4 again, so the prospectus is at least consistent with itself. All three live booklets print it as MDV – 004, and the coordinator list on every one of them writes MDV 004. Every other course in the family is a padded three-digit number. Search both forms before concluding a paper is missing, and copy the booklet’s form onto your cover sheet, because that is the sheet the evaluator reads.
  • The urban codes are padded two ways as well. Section 3.46 prints MEDS 41 and MEDS 42. The coordinator list on the live booklets prints MEDS 041 and MEDS 042, and the assignment headings inside follow the padded form. Same courses, same school, same session, two spellings.
  • A MADVS paper can arrive under a diploma cover. The MDV 103 file currently posted is headed Post Graduate Diploma in Development Studies (PGDDVS), not Master of Arts (Development Studies). It carries the same session, the same dates, the same guidelines and the same five questions as the MADVS files, and its coordinator list is shorter because the diploma has fewer courses. MDV 103 is a compulsory MADVS first-year course, so this is the correct paper for a MADVS learner, published under the other programme’s cover.
  • Assignment 11 is a course section 3.46 does not list. The consolidated MADVS assignment set numbers fourteen assignments, and number 11 is MRD-101, marked in the file as still to be uploaded. MRD is the rural development course-code family, and MRD-101 appears in no MADVS table in the July 2026 Common Prospectus. If your admission record carries it, get it confirmed by your Regional Centre before ordering against it, because the prospectus and the assignment set do not agree that it belongs to you.
  • A footnote marker with no footnote beneath it. The first-year heading in section 3.46 is printed as I Year followed by a hash mark. No note explaining that mark appears anywhere in section 3.46. The note it points at is printed roughly a hundred and eighty pages later, under the PGDDVS table in section 8.20, where it says that after completing PGDDVS interested students may take lateral entry directly into the second year of MADVS. The marker is orphaned in one section and the note is stranded in the other.
  • The same course is titled two ways. Section 3.46 gives MDV 103 as Issues and Challenges of Development. The live booklet heads the same assignment Issues and Challenges in Development. One preposition, two documents, one course.
  • Two filename conventions inside one school and one session. The gender and training papers are posted as MDV-004-25-26 and MDV-110-25-26. The MDV 103 paper is posted as MDV-103-2025-2026. If a guessed file address returns nothing, the other convention is the first thing to try, which is a good reason to reach the papers through IGNOU’s own index rather than by typing an address.
  • The booklet asks for the front page twice, differently. Instruction 1 lists six things to write on the first page of each assignment: name and full address, enrolment number, admission session, course code, course title and regional centre. The Cover Page for Assignment printed at the back of the same file lists thirteen: assignment number, name of learner, enrolment number, regional centre and code, name of the programme, programme code, course code, course title, email, mobile or phone number, date of submission, address of student and signature of student. Fill the thirteen-field sheet, since it is the one the school has laid out, and treat instruction 1 as the minimum rather than the specification.
  • The expected answer length rose without announcement. The consolidated 2020-21 MADVS booklet asked for around six hundred words per answer. The current booklets ask for around eight hundred. The marks, the question count and the credits are unchanged. Anyone working from an older solved file is working a third short.
  • Study-help sites print the wrong dates for this programme. Several widely-read MADVS pages give 30 April and 31 October as the submission dates. Those are the School of Management Studies pair. Instruction 5 on the live School of Extension and Development Studies booklets prints 31 March and 30 September, and IGNOU’s own Regional Centre Delhi-2 assignment guidance gives the same general pair. Take the date off your own file.
  • On this website, pending correction. An assurance that IGNOU will accept the assignment, backed by a refund, is still printed on the ignouproject.com front page. The MMPC-001 course page still names a fixed number of working days for dispatch. The MEG assignment page continues to offer a Hindi paper for a degree IGNOU issues in English alone. None of the three is repeated here, all three are wrong, and all three are queued for removal. Where any of them disagrees with this page, this page governs.

Your registration confirmation outranks any code list published anywhere, and that includes the tables above. Programme structures, course codes, submission dates and rules change, and only ignou.ac.in and your Regional Centre can confirm the current position for your enrolment. The document these tables were read from is indexed on the IGNOU prospectus archive.

From An Assignment Number To A Tied Bundle

What follows is the sequence a MADVS order actually moves through. The first step exists because this programme numbers its papers separately from its codes, which makes identification the thing everything else depends on.

  1. Each code is matched to its assignment number and its cover. Your list is checked against the thirteen taught codes in section 3.46, and each one is then traced to the numbered assignment that holds it in the live booklet, including which programme name the cover of that file carries. MDVP 117 is set aside with a note rather than priced. The reply therefore counts published papers, which is not always the same as the number of codes you sent.
  2. The current file is opened rather than an archived one. The booklet instructs that the latest assignments on the website are the ones to submit regardless of registration year, so the questions are taken from the file posted now. A 2021 MDV 110 paper and a 2026 MDV 110 paper share a course code and a marks pattern and almost nothing else.
  3. Five answers are planned at around eight hundred words each. The count is fixed before drafting, because MADVS prints no choice: all five questions are compulsory and all five carry twenty marks. The word guideline printed on your own file sets the length, not a general convention borrowed from another school.
  4. Each answer is built from the development studies blocks. A question on Nurkse’s balanced growth, on training needs assessment, on the seventy-fourth amendment or on qualitative data collection is answered from the units IGNOU issued, because your counsellor marks against those units. They are free: reach them through eGyanKosh, or by the alternate Gyankosh route when that repository is slow, with the wider catalogue indexed at IGNOU books download.
  5. Blue or black on A4, both sides, tied per course. Instruction 2 asks for A4 plain or ruled paper written on both sides with a margin, tied or stapled carefully and course wise. Question numbers go with each answer, key terms are underlined once, pages are numbered through, and every diagram is drawn by hand rather than pasted in. Each code travels as its own bundle with the thirteen-field cover sheet on top and deliberately blank: the cover page walkthrough and the blank front page format PDF show the layout in advance, and the wider rules sit in assignment format and structure.

Keeping One Hand Across A Four-Year Registration

Send a photo of a page you have written yourself and the handwritten set is matched to your handwriting at no extra charge. A single page written at normal speed and photographed flat in decent light carries enough of the slant, the letter heights and the joins you make without thinking to sustain a whole course of answers.

On MADVS the case for it is arithmetic. A registration can run four years against a two-year minimum, and across that span thirteen separate bundles can land against one enrolment number, with MDVP 117 keeping the record open after the taught papers are done. Year One and Year Two also go in a year apart by design, since the programme is examined year wise rather than semester wise, so the gap between your first bundle and your last is longer here than on a semester degree. A hand that changes visibly halfway through is the sort of thing that invites a question nobody wants to answer at a counter. The photograph is used for the order it belongs to and discarded with it.

Writing The MADVS Set Yourself Costs Nothing But Weeks

Everything needed to do this unaided is published and free. The handwritten assignment method, explained step by step covers the whole approach, a finished sample IGNOU assignment shows the depth a twenty-mark answer actually reaches, the comparison of online and offline submission covers what happens once the bundles are tied, and the submission walkthrough covers the counter itself. Learners writing a cognate programme in Devanagari will want the notes on writing IGNOU assignments in Hindi, which do not apply to MADVS, since section 3.46 records this programme as English only. This page is for learners short of weeks, not learners short of development theory.

Two Free Calculators For A Programme Numbered By Assignment

Neither calculator leaves the browser tab it opens in and neither keeps anything after you close it. The first exists because eight hundred words times five questions times however many codes you are short of is a number worth seeing before you plan an evening around it. The second exists because on this programme the useful question is not what a code is called but which numbered assignment holds it and which cover that file carries.

Free tool 1

MADVS Longhand Load And Cut-Off Planner

Pick a stage or type how many MADVS papers you are short of, then choose the session your admission falls in. The planner returns the cost at ₹320 each, the number of separate answers those papers require at five per paper, the longhand word total at the eight hundred words your booklet asks for, a writing-time estimate, the next School of Extension and Development Studies cut-off computed from today’s date, and the days remaining to it.

Every option excludes MDVP 117 Project Work, because IGNOU publishes no Tutor Marked Assignment for it. Twelve of its credits sit outside assignment work entirely.

A whole number from 1 to 13. Thirteen is every taught code the programme prints. Choosing a stage above fills this in for you.

Both dates come from instruction 5 on the live MDV booklets. Dates move by session and by Regional Centre, so confirm yours before you plan.

Pick a stage or type a paper count, choose your session, then select Work Out Load And Runway.

Confirm This MADVS Total On WhatsApp

This tool is guidance from ignouproject.com, not an IGNOU rule. Using it creates no obligation to order anything. The writing-time figure is a planning estimate built on the booklet’s own eight-hundred-word guideline, and the cut-off is the pair printed on the current booklets rather than a notice issued by your Regional Centre.

Free tool 2

MDV Code To Assignment Number Lookup

Type any MADVS course code in whichever spelling you have. The lookup returns the official title as section 3.46 prints it, the credits, the year, whether a question paper exists, the numbered assignment that holds it in the MADVS booklet, the programme name printed on the cover of the live file, and the padding IGNOU’s own booklets use on your cover sheet.

Spaces and hyphens are ignored and both paddings resolve, so MDV 4, MDV-004 and mdv004 all reach the same paper. Read the code off your registration confirmation.

Type a code such as MDV 110 or MEDS 41, then select Look Up This MADVS Code.

Have This One Paper Written At ₹320

This tool is guidance from ignouproject.com, not an IGNOU rule. Using it creates no obligation to order anything. Titles and credits follow section 3.46 of the July 2026 Common Prospectus and the assignment numbers follow the live booklets read for this page, and both should be checked against the paper in your own hand.

Finding A MDV Paper When The Cover May Say PGDDVS

IGNOU charges nothing for its question papers, and IGNOU is where yours should come from whoever ends up filling the sheets. On MADVS the download takes one extra moment of attention, because two filename conventions are in use and one of the current files is published under the diploma’s name.

  1. Start at IGNOU’s own download service. Open the IGNOU assignment download service and reach the School of Extension and Development Studies listing from there. Do not type a file address from memory. The gender and training papers are posted with a two-digit session suffix and the MDV 103 paper with a four-digit one, so a guessed address is as likely to return nothing as to return your paper.
  2. Read the cover before the questions. The heading on the first page tells you which programme the file was assembled for. A file headed Post Graduate Diploma in Development Studies can still hold the correct MDV 103 paper for a MADVS learner, because the two programmes share that course. What it does not tell you is the programme code to write on your own sheet, which is MADVS.
  3. Note the assignment number, not just the code. The cover sheet at the back of every MADVS file opens with a field called Assignment No., and it is the first thing on the page. That number is printed above the questions inside the same file, so copy it across before you close the PDF rather than hunting for it after the pages are written.
  4. Check the session line and the instruction line together. The cover carries the sessions the file serves, currently July 2025 and January 2026, and instruction 5 carries the two dates. Both matter, and they answer different questions: the first tells you whether these are still the right questions, the second tells you when the pages must reach a counter.

With the questions in front of you, the archive of solved question papers and the previous year paper collection show how a three-hour examination hall treats development studies material differently from a four-thousand-word assignment, which is worth seeing before you assume one prepares you for the other.

Getting The Mark Recorded, Then Getting It Counted

The counter is a checkpoint, not a finish line. Instruction 6 on the MADVS booklet asks you to submit at the allotted study centre only, and adds a line worth following literally: keep a scan copy of the assignments with you until the marks are reflected on your grade card. Photograph the pages before they leave your hands.

From there the figure moves in three stages. The centre records receipt, the counsellor’s award travels to the Student Evaluation Division, and only then does a number attach itself to the course code. Receipt and score sit on different screens and answer different questions, so follow the first through the assignment marks status lookup and the second through the assignment grade card explainer, with the grade card status page for a code that refuses to appear and the final grade card guide once both halves are posted. Each of those lookups opens by asking for the identifier explained on the enrolment number lookup page, and the general assignment hub covers the rest of the cycle.

A MADVS course showing incomplete has one cause peculiar to this programme. A first-year code can sit against the Post Graduate Diploma in Development Studies rather than the master’s, because the six courses are shared and a lateral-entry record can be attached either way. That is an administrative attachment rather than a lost mark, and a Regional Centre can resolve it with your enrolment number. Once a course shows both its assignment mark and its examination mark, the percentage calculator and the CGPA calculator turn the pair into a figure you can read. A term-end score you want challenged goes down the revaluation route, which touches the answer script alone, so an assignment mark cannot be revalued. Wider timing sits on the IGNOU result page, the June 2026 result tracker and the postgraduate result page.

Beyond The Assignment Bundle: The Other Seventy Per Cent

An assignment order is rarely the only line in a message from a development studies learner, because the twelve-credit project sits in the same year as the taught papers and the examination sits at the end of it.

Medium, session, and the point at which a MADVS paper stops counting. The service covers all mediums IGNOU issues the TMA paper in, at the same price. On MADVS section 3.46 records the medium of instruction as English and every live file read for this page is English, so that clause resolves to a single paper rather than a choice, and any offer of a Hindi MADVS assignment should be treated with suspicion. On sessions: a MADVS paper belongs to the cycle printed on its cover, currently July 2025 and January 2026, and the questions are replaced under unchanged course codes when that cycle closes. Because the booklet instructs you to submit the latest assignments regardless of when you registered, an older paper does not stay valid simply because it matches your admission year. Any session is accepted, current cycle or older, including backlog courses, at the same ₹320 per subject. Tell us the session your own cover prints, and the answers follow the questions attached to that cycle. The full study material index lists what IGNOU supplies alongside it.

Placing A MADVS Order Without A Form

There is no form on this page, no account and no login. The whole exchange runs over WhatsApp on +91 93546 37830, and the job is not done when the courier hands the parcel across. It is done when a stamped receipt is in your hand.

  1. Message the number with your codes. The MDV or MEDS codes exactly as your registration confirmation spells them, padded or unpadded, whichever it prints.
  2. Your numbers and your total come back. Each code is matched to its numbered assignment and the cover its file carries, MDVP 117 is named and removed, the total is confirmed at ₹320 per subject, and delivery for your pin code is confirmed before you pay.
  3. The bound set arrives and you finish it. Every code comes tied on its own with the thirteen-field cover sheet on top, deliberately unfilled. Filling the enrolment rows and signing beneath them is left to you, because that declaration speaks about whose understanding the pages hold and cannot honestly be signed by anybody else.

Four lines are worth sending in that first message:

  • Course codes. Copied from your registration confirmation rather than recalled, with whatever padding it prints.
  • Year One or Year Two, and whether you are taking MDVP 117. MADVS is examined year wise, and the project decision changes a second-year order by two subjects.
  • The session printed on the cover of your booklet. That single line settles which questions are being answered, which matters more here than on programmes that archive by admission year.
  • Pin code, plus a handwriting sample if you want one. A photograph of anything you have written is enough, and matching costs nothing.

Sourcing: Three Documents, Read Against Each Other

From the IGNOU Common Prospectus, July 2026. Section 3.46 supplied the School of Extension and Development Studies placement, the eligibility of a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university, the English medium of instruction, the two-year minimum against a four-year maximum, the fee of ₹8,000 per year, every course code with its official title and credit value, the first-year and second-year split, the choose-any-thirty-six-credits instruction, the note that MDVP 117 is equivalent to two courses at twelve credits, and the lateral-entry route from PGDDVS. The credits were confirmed by addition rather than accepted on sight: thirty-six in the first year and thirty-six chosen in the second, against ninety if every printed second-year row were counted instead of the thirty-six you take. Section 8.20 supplied the PGDDVS table whose six courses are identical to the MADVS first year and whose own line reads Total Credits 36, and the orphaned footnote about lateral entry. The programme summary table on the fee pages supplied the year wise mode of examination and the January and July cycles.

From live IGNOU assignment booklets. Four files were read instead of one, because a single booklet cannot show you whether an oddity is the programme’s habit or that one file’s slip. Three are current: the MDV-004 and MDV-110 files headed Master of Arts (Development Studies) for the July 2025 and January 2026 sessions, and the MDV-103 file headed Post Graduate Diploma in Development Studies for the same sessions. The fourth is the consolidated MADVS set for the July 2020 and January 2021 sessions, opened to establish the full assignment-number map and to date the change in the word guideline. Between them they supplied the 31 March and 30 September pair, the hundred-mark total, the five-question pattern at twenty marks each, the eight-hundred-word guideline and its six-hundred-word predecessor, the thirteen-field cover-page layout and the six-field instruction that contradicts it, the A4 both-sides binding instruction, the handwriting instruction, the latest-assignment rule, the assignment numbering including the MRD-101 row, and the padded MDV 004, MEDS 041 and MEDS 042 forms.

From ignouproject.com as publisher. Pricing, the paper-only rule, the medium and backlog clauses, the open order size and the handwriting match are this publisher’s own terms and nobody else’s. The rate is ₹320 per subject, hard copy only, with courier included in that price and no separate shipping charge. No soft copy or PDF is sold. There is no minimum order: one subject or fourteen, same rate. Delivery depends on your pin code and is confirmed for your order before you pay. No figure is promised on this page. None of that is an IGNOU rule, and IGNOU has no part in any of it.
