MA Development Studies (MADVS) · December 2026 term-end examination
Five of the eight MDV-102 questions in June 2026 had been set a year earlier.
IGNOU reuses MADVS questions more openly than most programmes. Across the six Year I papers of June 2026, eleven questions repeat the core of an earlier IGNOU question, most of them almost word for word. This guide sets out what 52 MDV and MEDS papers asked from December 2024 to June 2026, how each paper is built, and the six December evenings on which the whole of Year I is examined.
- Year I: 2 to 8 Dec, all 2 PM
- 52 IGNOU papers, 13 codes
- Any 5 of 8, 20 marks each
- MDV-106: five themes in 4 of 4
- MDV-102 June 2026: 5 repeats
- Free exam-week map and clock
List the codes exactly as IGNOU prints them, for example MDV-004 rather than “gender paper”, and mark each one PDF or printed.
Quick answer. An IGNOU MADVS guess paper is a revision set of important and recurring questions for one MADVS course code, such as MDV-101 Introduction to Development and Development Theories, with model answers. MADVS is the 72-credit, two-year Master of Arts (Development Studies) of IGNOU’s School of Extension and Development Studies, and its papers carry the MDV prefix, with two Year II options under MEDS. IGNOU’s December 2026 term-end examination (TEE) runs from 25 November 2026 to 14 January 2027, and the six MADVS Year I papers fall on six evenings from 2 to 8 December. Each of the 52 MADVS papers IGNOU set between December 2024 and June 2026 allowed 3 hours for 100 marks and asked the candidate to choose five questions out of eight, each worth 20. The rate is ₹49 per subject code for a solved guess paper as a PDF, or ₹100 per subject code as a printed copy. Printed copies carry a one-time courier charge of ₹100 per order, whatever the number of subject codes; the PDF has no courier charge. Sets follow the medium IGNOU examines each code in, which is English for every MDV paper, and the medium is confirmed on WhatsApp before payment. Nobody outside IGNOU knows the questions beforehand, and no MADVS set claims that any of its questions will be asked.
Six Evenings From 2 December: When the MADVS Papers Fall
The first MADVS paper of the December 2026 cycle is MDV-101 Introduction to Development and Development Theories, on Wednesday 2 December 2026 from 2 PM to 5 PM, per IGNOU’s December 2026 date sheet dated 30 October 2026. The other five Year I papers follow on the next five examination days, ending with MDV-109 on Tuesday 8 December. Year II runs from 9 December to Monday 28 December, and every MADVS paper sits in the 2 PM session.
Across all IGNOU programmes, the December 2026 cycle opens on Wednesday 25 November 2026 and closes on Thursday 14 January 2027, according to the sheet issued on 30 October 2026.
First MADVS paper
MDV-101, Wednesday 2 December 2026, 2 PM to 5 PM
Last MADVS paper
MDV-115, Monday 28 December 2026, 2 PM to 5 PM
Sheet of 30 October 2026, which revised the tentative sheet of 21 September; every MADVS date is the same in both. IGNOU can still move a paper.
The Year I Run, Paper by Paper
Each MADVS code has a date to itself, so the sheet holds no MADVS clash. The difficulty is the run. A learner sitting the whole of Year I writes six 3-hour papers between Wednesday and the following Tuesday, with Sunday 6 December the only day off.
On a phone, swipe the table sideways for every column.
| Code | Date (2 PM) | Paper | Year | Gap |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| MDV-101 | Wednesday 2 Dec | Introduction to Development and Development Theories | Year I | First MADVS paper |
| MDV-102 | Thursday 3 Dec | Dynamics of Development | Year I | Next day |
| MDV-103 | Friday 4 Dec | Issues and Challenges of Development | Year I | Next day |
| MDV-004 | Saturday 5 Dec | Gender and Development | Year I | Next day |
| MDV-106 | Monday 7 Dec | Research Methodology in Development Studies | Year I | 2 days later (Sunday 6 Dec off) |
| MDV-109 | Tuesday 8 Dec | Development in India – An Overview | Year I | Next day |
| MDV-105 | Wednesday 9 Dec | Development Planning and Management | Year II | Next day |
The order matters for planning. MDV-106 Research Methodology, the most repetitive of the six papers, comes straight after the Sunday break, while MDV-101, MDV-102 and MDV-103 come on three days in a row at the start. A learner carrying a Year I paper into Year II adds MDV-105 on Wednesday 9 December, which turns the run into seven papers on seven examination days.
Year II Papers Spread Over Three Weeks
Year II is gentler. After MDV-105 on 9 December, MDV-108 falls on Tuesday 15 December, MDV-110 on Thursday 17 December and MDV-111 on Monday 21 December. The two urban options sit on consecutive days, MEDS-041 on Wednesday 23 December and MEDS-042 on Thursday 24 December, and MDV-115 Health and Development closes the cycle on 28 December.
Codes from other programmes can be checked on the site’s December 2026 date sheet finder, and the guide to IGNOU’s two examination sessions explains the reporting time for a 2 PM paper. The admit card comes through the IGNOU hall ticket guide; centre changes are covered on the IGNOU exam centre page. Examination form charges sit on the IGNOU exam fee explainer, with paying the exam fee online set out separately.
Seventy Marks in Every Hundred: Why the MDV Paper Carries the Course
The term-end examination carries 70 per cent of the final course result and assignments carry the remaining 30 per cent. For MADVS the figure comes from IGNOU’s MADVS assignment booklet for the July 2026 and January 2027 sessions, which says each course’s assignment “accounts for 30% of your final grade”. None of the 52 MDV and MEDS term-end papers from December 2024 to June 2026 prints a weightage line.
The booklet also sets the assignment deadlines: 31 March 2027 for the July 2026 session and 30 September 2027 for the January 2027 session. The December 2026 date sheet adds a condition on its first page: results are not declared where the required assignments were not submitted by the due date. IGNOU’s MADVS documents reviewed here do not state a minimum pass mark, so none is given; the Programme Guide is the place to check. Converting a grade to a percentage later is explained by the site’s IGNOU percentage calculator.
Guess Paper, IGNOU Paper or Solved Paper: Choosing One for MDV Revision
A guess paper is a publisher’s revision set for one course code, such as MDV-102 Dynamics of Development, holding the important and recurring questions from IGNOU’s past papers and the syllabus, each with a model answer. The same product is also sold as “important questions”, “expected questions” or a “model paper”.
A previous year question paper is a paper IGNOU actually set in an earlier term-end examination, such as the June 2026 MDV-101 paper with serial A-1069, and IGNOU posts these free, session by session. Put a publisher’s model answers beside one of those IGNOU papers and it becomes a solved question paper.
For MADVS the free papers are unusually valuable, because IGNOU reuses so much of its own wording. Anyone who works through the four newest MDV-102 papers will meet the June 2026 questions in an earlier form. What a guess paper adds is the grouping across sessions, the ranking of themes, and answers written for 20 marks rather than notes.
On a phone, swipe the table sideways for every column.
| Question | Guess paper | Previous year question paper | Solved question paper |
|---|---|---|---|
| What is inside | Themes grouped from several MDV sessions, with answers | One IGNOU paper, no answers | One IGNOU paper, answered |
| Made by | A publisher | IGNOU | A publisher |
| Price | ₹49 PDF · ₹100 printed, per subject code, on this site | Free from ignou.ac.in | Usually paid |
| Good for | Choosing which themes to revise first | A timed practice run of five answers | Seeing one session answered in full |
| Cannot do | Tell what the December 2026 paper will ask | Show which themes return | Cover more than one session |
Full answers to past IGNOU papers are collected on the site’s IGNOU solved question papers page, and sets for every other programme are listed on the IGNOU guess paper hub.
Answers sized for 34 minutes. Each model answer is written for a 20-mark question, the only length a MADVS paper has set since December 2024.
Splits kept as IGNOU prints them. A 5+15 question gets a short definition and a long discussion, not two equal halves.
Repeated wording flagged. Where IGNOU has reused a question nearly word for word, the set marks it and answers that exact wording.
Theories by name for MDV-101. Rostow, Myrdal, Schumpeter, Nussbaum and Gandhi each get a stand-alone answer, because the papers name them.
Concept pairs for MDV-102. Natural and legal rights, exclusion and marginalisation, market and state are answered as contrasts.
Indian data for MDV-103. Inequality, population and governance answers use Indian measures and programmes as their examples.
Feminist schools kept apart. MDV-004 answers separate radical, liberal, post-modern and Marxist feminism, since each has been asked on its own.
Method in steps for MDV-106. Proposals, sampling and focus groups are written as ordered stages a learner can reproduce.
Plans and schemes dated for MDV-109. Five Year Plans, tribal programmes and rural schemes carry their years and ministries.
Short notes at 17 minutes. Two 10-mark notes are drafted to equal length, ready for the last question of most MADVS papers.
Every count checkable. The theme tables give the session and question number, so each line can be checked against IGNOU’s own file.
PDF or printed booklet. Any MDV or MEDS code can be ordered as a WhatsApp PDF or a couriered printed copy.
Thirteen MDV and MEDS Codes, and How IGNOU Builds Each Paper
Section 3.46 of the July 2026 Common Prospectus describes MADVS as a two-year programme, four years at most, taught in English to graduates of any discipline, with a fee of ₹8,000 a year. Year I is six compulsory 6-credit courses, 36 credits. In Year II the learner chooses 36 credits from seven 6-credit theory courses and MDVP-117 Project Work, which counts as 12 credits, the equivalent of two courses. That is six Year II papers, or four papers and the project. Thirty-six and thirty-six give the 72 credits of the degree, a total the prospectus implies but does not print.

The six Year I courses are also the whole of the 36-credit Post Graduate Diploma in Development Studies, set out in section 8.20 of the prospectus, and a PGDDVS graduate may enter MADVS Year II directly. The site’s overview of the PGDDVS diploma covers that route, and the guide to the IGNOU Common Prospectus explains fees and admission.

The MADVS Paper in June 2026, Code by Code
Every one of the 13 MADVS theory papers IGNOU set in June 2026 ran 3 hours for 100 marks and asked for any five of eight questions, all carrying equal marks, which makes each answer worth 20 marks. No paper had sections or a compulsory question. The MDV papers were printed in English only, while both MEDS papers printed the same eight questions in English and then in Hindi, across six pages.

Where the Short-Note Question Sits
MDV-109 Development in India puts its short-note question at question 5, the middle of the paper, in all four sessions from December 2024 to June 2026, where most MADVS papers put it last. MDV-102 and MDV-004 go the other way and offer no choice at all: their final question names two short notes, both to be written, in every session.

Two Year II papers dropped short notes in December 2025. MDV-108 Development Communication and Extension and MDV-110 Training and Development each ended with a short-note question in December 2024 and June 2025. In December 2025 and June 2026 both papers set eight full essay questions instead. In the same two sessions MDV-115 moved its short notes from question 8 to question 5. A Year II set built on the older papers would plan for a pair of 10-mark notes these two papers no longer offer.
The Year II layouts above come from these IGNOU papers: MDV-105 Dec 2024, MDV-105 Jun 2025, MDV-105 Dec 2025 and MDV-105 Jun 2026; MDV-108 Dec 2024, MDV-108 Jun 2025, MDV-108 Dec 2025 and MDV-108 Jun 2026; MDV-110 Dec 2024, MDV-110 Jun 2025, MDV-110 Dec 2025 and MDV-110 Jun 2026; MDV-111 Dec 2024, MDV-111 Jun 2025, MDV-111 Dec 2025 and MDV-111 Jun 2026; MEDS-041 Dec 2024, MEDS-041 Jun 2025, MEDS-041 Dec 2025 and MEDS-041 Jun 2026; MEDS-042 Dec 2024, MEDS-042 Jun 2025, MEDS-042 Dec 2025 and MEDS-042 Jun 2026; MDV-115 Dec 2024, MDV-115 Jun 2025, MDV-115 Dec 2025 and MDV-115 Jun 2026.
Where IGNOU’s documents disagree, including one owned store page.
- Code form: the prospectus prints Gender and Development as “MDV 4”, the date sheet as MDV004 and every paper as MDV-004.
- Programme headings: the June 2026 MDV-108, MDV-111 and MDV-115 papers name PGDDVS in their heading, though the diploma in section 8.20 holds only the six Year I codes; the June 2026 MEDS-042 paper is headed PGDUPDL/MAUS and does not name MADVS; MDV-109, MDV-108, MDV-110 and MDV-115 add MACSR.
- Misprints in papers: “White short notes” in the June 2026 MDV-004 paper; “any two of the following” printed over only two notes in the June 2026 MDV-106 paper; “Multhusian” in the December 2024 MDV-103 paper; “Land freforms” in the June 2025 MDV-103 paper; “Define Unrecognized Sector” in the December 2024 MDV-109 paper.
- Prospectus wording: section 3.46 says the programme will “impact” quality education, where the matching PGDDVS section says “impart”.
- Old course lists: several third-party MADVS pages still show MRD-101 Rural Development as a Year II course. Section 3.46 of the July 2026 prospectus does not list it among the MADVS options, so the registration slip should be checked before a set for it is ordered as part of MADVS.
- In-house: the owned shrichakradhar.com MADVS category lists an “MDV 118” set, a code in neither the July 2026 prospectus nor any IGNOU paper list from December 2024 to June 2026, and still names the 2025 sessions; it is queued for correction.
Eleven Questions IGNOU Asked Again in June 2026: The MADVS Record
Eleven questions on the six June 2026 MADVS Year I papers repeat the core instruction of an earlier IGNOU question, most of them almost word for word, and five of them are in MDV-102 Dynamics of Development. Questions 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 of the June 2026 MDV-102 paper restate questions from the June 2025 paper on change, communication, conflict, human rights and social movements; three of the five differ only in a word or two.

The theme counts below come from 24 IGNOU term-end papers: December 2024, June 2025, December 2025 and June 2026 for each of the six MADVS Year I codes, compared question by question by ignouproject.com on 5 November 2026. The 28 Year II papers from the same four sessions were compared for their format. Matching is by topic and is a human judgement, so a question on the causes of poverty and one on its dimensions count as one theme. A count of 4 of 4 means IGNOU set the theme in all four sessions, not that it will set it again. The theme tables cover the six Year I codes; for the Year II codes, themes are matched against the latest IGNOU paper on WhatsApp.
MDV-106 Research Methodology in Development Studies is the most repetitive MADVS paper, with five themes set in all four sessions from December 2024 to June 2026: development research, the project proposal, reliability and validity, sampling, and qualitative data collection. MDV-109 Development in India is the least repetitive, with no theme in all four.
MDV-101 Introduction to Development and Development Theories
MDV-101 is a paper of named theories. Three themes appeared in every session, and two whole questions in June 2026, on the Malthusian theory and on Myrdal, repeat earlier papers exactly.

MDV-102 Dynamics of Development
Question 1 of all four MDV-102 papers was about change: its types in June 2025 and June 2026, change management in December 2024 and December 2025. The human rights question appeared in three of the four papers in almost the same words.

MDV-103 Issues and Challenges of Development
Population and governance held their place in all four MDV-103 papers. The June 2026 paper asked about population twice, once as an essay on population as “bane and boon” and once as a short note on the Malthusian theory.

MDV-004 Gender and Development
MDV-004 rotates through the feminist schools. Radical feminism was a short note in December 2024, liberal feminism an essay in June 2025, post-modern feminism in December 2025 and Marxist feminism in June 2026.

MDV-106 Research Methodology in Development Studies
Five MDV-106 themes came back in every session. The paper also likes a two-step question: define the term in about 5 marks, then explain its types or stages in about 15.

MDV-109 Development in India – An Overview
MDV-109 spreads widely across sectors. Even so, its June 2026 paper ended with two questions taken from December 2024: the First Five Year Plan and the programmes for Scheduled Tribes.

For MDV-109 the four IGNOU files are MDV-109 December 2024, MDV-109 June 2025, MDV-109 December 2025 and MDV-109 June 2026.
A theme set in four sessions earns early revision, and one set twice is worth an outline, but the course blocks remain the syllabus. Older MADVS papers are gathered on the site’s IGNOU last year paper collection.
From Four MDV Papers to One Revision Set, in Five Steps
- Pull together the code’s last four IGNOU papers. For MADVS these are December 2024, June 2025, December 2025 and June 2026, whichever programme heads them.
- Mark every whole-question repeat. Where IGNOU reused a question nearly word for word, that wording becomes a heading in the set.
- Group the rest into themes by hand. Each question gets its session and number, and related questions are merged under one theme.
- Rank, then fill the gaps. Themes in 4 of 4 come first, then 3 of 4 and 2 of 4, then block topics IGNOU has not yet asked.
- Write to 20 marks and IGNOU’s split. A 5+15 question gets a brief definition and a full discussion; the short notes get two equal halves.
A Worked Outline: Natural and Legal Rights in MDV-102
The natural-versus-legal rights question has appeared in three MDV-102 papers since December 2024, which makes it a fair example of how a set shapes one answer in about 34 minutes.
- Define human rights in two or three sentences, naming the Universal Declaration of 1948: about 5 minutes.
- Explain natural rights, their basis in human dignity and the writers linked with them: about 8 minutes.
- Explain legal rights as rights a state recognises and enforces, with Part III of the Indian Constitution as the example: about 8 minutes.
- Set out four or five differences side by side, such as source, enforceability and scope: about 9 minutes.
- Close with one sentence on how the two meet in development work: about 2 minutes, leaving a margin.
What a MADVS Set Can Settle, and What Stays With IGNOU
A guess paper is a revision aid built from past IGNOU question papers and the syllabus. No one outside IGNOU knows the questions in advance, and no claim is made that any question in this set will appear in your examination.
Where a Set Earns Its Place
It gives an order of work for six papers that fall in one week. It shows that MDV-106 and MDV-101 repeat heavily and that MDV-109 does not, and it puts IGNOU’s reused wording in front of the learner. It also trains the 34-minute answer, which is what an any-five paper rewards.
Where It Stops
It cannot tell what the December 2026 papers will ask, and a paper that breaks the habit of repetition will find the learner who skipped the blocks. It cannot replace the course material. If IGNOU changes a paper’s layout, as it did for MDV-108 and MDV-110 in December 2025, a set built before the change is out of date for that point.
Revising MADVS without spending. All 52 IGNOU papers linked on this page are free, and the MDV blocks are on eGyanKosh, which the site’s eGyanKosh guide shows how to search; the Gyankosh search route is a second way in. Printed books can be traced through IGNOU books download, and shorter summaries through the IGNOU study notes page.
Two Free MADVS Planners: Exam-Week Map and Five-Answer Clock
The exam-week map sets the MADVS codes ticked against the December 2026 sheet, warns about back-to-back evenings and splits the revision hours left. The five-answer clock shows one code’s layout, its short-note rule, the minutes per answer and its most repeated themes.

MADVS Five-Answer Clock and Theme Finder
The clock sets aside 10 minutes to read the paper and pick five questions, then divides the remaining 170 minutes.
This tool is guidance from ignouproject.com, not an IGNOU rule. Using it creates no obligation to order anything.
The clock’s arithmetic, which applies to all 13 MADVS papers as IGNOU set them in June 2026:
On a phone, swipe the table sideways for every column.
| Answer type | Time available | Time per answer |
|---|---|---|
| Any 5 of 8 at 20 marks (all 13 codes) | 180 minutes less 10 to read and choose | 34 minutes per answer |
| A 5+15 question | One 34-minute slot | About 8 minutes defining, 26 discussing |
| A 10+10 question | One 34-minute slot | About 17 minutes per part |
| A short-note question, two notes of 10 marks | One 34-minute slot | About 17 minutes per note |
Both planners use only the dates, layouts and theme counts printed in the tables on this page, and they run in the browser without sending anything anywhere.
Finding Every MDV Paper and the Date Sheet on IGNOU’s Site
IGNOU lists its recent question papers on one page per session. The June 2026 question paper list carries all 11 MDV codes and both MEDS codes, as do the December 2025 list, the June 2025 list and the December 2024 list.
- Open a session list and search the page for the code with its hyphen, such as MDV-004; the lists use the padded form, never “MDV-4”.
- Open the PDF and confirm the session printed under “Term-End Examination”. IGNOU stores the December 2024 MADVS files under a generic downloads path whose address names no session.
- Check the course title against section 3.46 of the July 2026 Common Prospectus, or against IGNOU’s MADVS programme page.
- Take dates from the 30 October 2026 version of the December 2026 TEE date sheet, searching for MDV101 or MEDS041 without a hyphen. Every MADVS date there matches the earlier tentative version dated 21 September 2026.
Assignment questions and the 30 per cent rule are in IGNOU’s MADVS assignment booklet for 2026-27, filed under the MEDS-042 name. The site’s explainer on reading an IGNOU date sheet shows how the morning and evening columns are laid out.
Hall Ticket Before 2 December, Results and Revaluation After
The hall ticket fixes the date, session and centre of each MADVS paper, and it is worth downloading before the Year I run begins on 2 December. Term-end results are published through the IGNOU result checker, and the site’s June 2026 result page shows how long the last cycle’s results took.
Assignment grades are posted separately, which the IGNOU assignment status page explains. A disputed term-end mark goes through IGNOU revaluation, with its own deadline. After both years, the guide to the final grade card and the IGNOU CGPA tool cover the overall result.
Assignments, Books and the Project That Sit Beside a Set
Each MADVS course needs its assignment submitted on time, and the site’s MADVS handwritten assignment service covers the 2026-27 booklet code by code; typed versions are on the IGNOU solved assignments list. Fuller reading comes from IGNOU help books or guide books ordered online. MDVP-117 Project Work has no term-end paper and no revision set; it is covered on the MADVS MDVP-117 project page.
English for MDV, Two Languages for MEDS: The Medium of Each Set
Each set is prepared for the upcoming term-end examination, in every medium IGNOU examines that course in, and the medium for your course code is confirmed on WhatsApp before you pay.
For the MDV codes that means English. Section 3.46 of the July 2026 Common Prospectus and IGNOU’s MADVS programme page both give English as the only medium of instruction, and all 44 MDV papers from December 2024 to June 2026 are printed in English alone. The MEDS-041 and MEDS-042 papers are different: each prints its eight questions in English and then again in Hindi, in every session from December 2024 to June 2026. For a MEDS code the medium is settled on WhatsApp before payment.
The target cycle is December 2026. A set ordered now follows the four sessions up to June 2026; when IGNOU posts the December 2026 MADVS papers, the theme counts here will move forward one session.
Placing a MADVS Order on WhatsApp
- Send the MADVS course codes to WhatsApp +91 93546 37830, written as the papers print them.
- Say PDF or printed for each code.
- Pay the total quoted in the chat.
- Receive the PDF in the same chat, or, for a printed copy, the courier details.
The rate is ₹49 per subject code for a solved guess paper as a PDF, or ₹100 per subject code as a printed copy. Printed copies carry a one-time courier charge of ₹100 per order, whatever the number of subject codes; the PDF has no courier charge. The PDF is shared on WhatsApp once payment is confirmed. A printed copy is dispatched the next day after payment is confirmed, and the courier details are shared on WhatsApp. No arrival date is promised, because transit time depends on the courier and your location. There is no minimum order: one subject or ten, same rate per format.
Because the first Year I paper is on Wednesday 2 December and a printed copy still has to travel after dispatch, a learner ordering in late November is usually better served by the PDF. The publisher’s other services are priced on the ignouproject.com charges page.

Questions MADVS and PGDDVS Learners Ask Before Ordering
An IGNOU MADVS guess paper costs ₹49 per course code as a PDF or ₹100 per course code as a printed copy. On a printed order, one ₹100 courier charge is added for the whole order; PDF orders carry no courier charge at all.
Three MDV-101 themes appeared in all four IGNOU papers from December 2024 to June 2026: human development, economic growth versus economic development, and the Gandhian model. Marxian theory, Nussbaum’s capability theory and the sustainable development paradigm each appeared in three. Any of them can still be left out.
MADVS previous year papers are free on IGNOU’s own question paper pages, one page per session, at ignou.ac.in under Student Services. The December 2024 to June 2026 lists hold every MDV code and both MEDS codes. Search each list for the code with its hyphen, such as MDV-106.
Every MADVS term-end paper from December 2024 to June 2026 ran 3 hours for 100 marks and asked for any five of eight questions at 20 marks each. Most papers end with a short-note question worth two 10-mark notes, but MDV-109 places it at question 5.
IGNOU’s date sheet of 30 October 2026 sets the six MADVS Year I papers on six evenings from Wednesday 2 December to Tuesday 8 December 2026, 2 PM to 5 PM. The Year II papers run from 9 December to 28 December, also in the evening session.
A free MADVS guess paper is not offered here; the free route is IGNOU’s own question papers plus the course blocks on eGyanKosh. Both cost nothing. A paid set saves the sorting work by grouping four sessions of questions into themes and answering them at 20-mark length.
MADVS sets are written in English, because IGNOU examines the programme in English. The prospectus gives English as the only medium, and every MDV paper from December 2024 to June 2026 is English only. The MEDS papers add a Hindi version, so their medium is confirmed on WhatsApp.
A MADVS guess paper differs from an IGNOU past paper in who makes it and what it holds. A previous year paper is one paper IGNOU actually set, free on its website. A guess paper is a publisher’s set built from several such papers and the course blocks, with themes grouped and model answers written for one course code.
No one outside IGNOU knows which questions the December 2026 MADVS papers will ask. A set ranks the themes IGNOU has set before and answers them at the right length; it makes no claim that any question will appear. MDV-109 had no theme in all four recent papers.
PGDDVS and MADVS Year I share the same six papers: MDV-101, MDV-102, MDV-103, MDV-004, MDV-106 and MDV-109. Each June 2026 paper for those codes is headed for both programmes, so a PGDDVS learner orders the same six sets and sits the same December 2026 evenings.
MEDS-041 Introduction to Urban Development and MEDS-042 Issues and Challenges in Urban Planning and Development are Year II options borrowed from IGNOU’s urban studies programmes. Their papers are bilingual, and the June 2026 MEDS-042 paper does not name MADVS in its heading.
MADVS sets are ordered on WhatsApp at +91 93546 37830. Send the codes, choose PDF or printed for each, and pay the amount quoted. The PDF follows in that chat; a printed copy is dispatched the next day after payment is confirmed.
A printed MADVS copy is dispatched the next day after payment is confirmed, and the courier details are shared on WhatsApp. The courier, not the publisher, controls transit, so no arrival day is quoted. With the Year I papers starting on 2 December 2026, the PDF is the safer format.
Old MADVS papers are useful for practice, but the four newest sessions show the current pattern best. Every paper from December 2024 to June 2026 used the any-five-of-eight rule. Check that a downloaded paper’s code still appears in the July 2026 Common Prospectus before relying on it.
MADVS assignments count for 30 per cent of each course result and the term-end paper for 70 per cent, the split given in IGNOU’s MADVS assignment booklet for July 2026 and January 2027. Submission matters too. The December 2026 date sheet says results are not declared where required assignments were missed.
Six MADVS Year I papers in seven days need revising before 2 December 2026, not between papers. Each 2 PM paper leaves only the morning before it, which is enough for a last look at one code’s most repeated themes and little else. Sunday 6 December, before MDV-106, is the one free day.
A good MADVS guess paper names a current code from the July 2026 Common Prospectus, follows the any-five-of-eight pattern, says which session it targets and answers at 20-mark length. A seller promising a percentage of questions or a marks figure is making a claim nobody outside IGNOU can check.
MDV 4 and MDV-004 are the same course, Gender and Development. The July 2026 Common Prospectus prints it as MDV 4, the date sheet as MDV004 and every term-end paper as MDV-004. Orders and searches work best with the paper’s form, MDV-004.
