Quick answer. IGNOU BCOMF books are the official self-learning blocks of IGNOU’s four-year Bachelor of Commerce, and every BCOMF block can be read free on eGyanKosh. IGNOU also posts them in print, except to learners who chose digital material at admission. The programme carries 160 credits over eight semesters, 120 of them for the three-year degree, and its structure lists 37 course codes, of which only BCOC-134 to BCOC-138 are unique to BCOMF. Beside those blocks sits a separate product: one complete course book for each BCOMF course code, in English or Hindi medium, holding its chapters, the latest previous years’ solved papers and the important questions and answers. Each course book costs ₹249 as a hard copy and ₹99 as a soft copy (PDF), and a learner orders only the course codes needed. A hard-copy order carries one fixed delivery charge of ₹100, however many books it contains. Every book order is placed on WhatsApp at +91 93546 37830.
BCOMF Exam Dates for December 2026, Year by Year
BCOMF papers in the December 2026 term-end examination run from 27 November 2026 to 13 January 2027, per IGNOU’s tentative date sheet dated 21 September 2026.
Year 1 codes: eight papers, opening with BCOC-131 Financial Accounting on 8 December 2026 and closing with BEVAE-181 Environmental Studies on 13 January 2027, an objective paper marked on an OMR sheet.
Years 2 to 4: BHDAE-182 comes first on 27 November, then BCOC-135 Company Law on 30 November and MCO-024 on 1 December; BPAS-184 is the last BCOMF paper, on 13 January 2027.
The BCOMF Programme Guide examines Semesters 1 and 2 together at the end of the first year, and a learner may take the TEE only after completing one year of study, so a July 2026 entrant’s first sitting is the June 2027 session. IGNOU has not yet published the June 2027 date sheet. The same guide caps one sitting at 48 credits; a BCOMF year is 40, which leaves room for just two 4-credit backlog papers beside it.
The sheet is still tentative, and IGNOU takes discrepancy reports at datesheet@ignou.ac.in only until 25 September 2026. Code-by-code timings for every programme are gathered on the December 2026 date sheet page, and the admit card steps are on the hall ticket guide. What your hall ticket prints is final.
How Many Study Hours Does Each BCOMF Year Carry?
Every BCOMF year carries 1,200 hours of official study, because each year is 40 credits. IGNOU’s Common Prospectus for July 2026 counts one credit as 30 hours of learner study, so a 4-credit course carries 120 hours and a 6-credit course 180 hours.
| Year | Anchor codes | Credits | Official hours | Papers in one sitting | December 2026 spread |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Year 1 | BCOC-131, BCOC-132 and six more | 40 | 1,200 | 8 | 8 Dec to 13 Jan |
| Year 2 | BCOC-133, BCOC-134, BCOC-136, BCOE-141 and four more | 40 | 1,200 | 8 | 4 Dec to 13 Jan, or from 27 Nov with Hindi |
| Year 3 | BCOC-135, BCOC-137, BCOC-138, BCOE-142 and four more | 40 | 1,200 | 8 | 30 Nov to 26 Dec |
| Year 4 | MCO-04, MCO-01, MCO-021, MCO-023 and a Semester 8 option | 40 | 1,200 | 7 coded papers, or 4 with the project | 1 Dec to 30 Dec |

Spread across twelve months, 1,200 hours is about 3.3 hours a day. The difficulty is that the whole year is tested in one sitting: a Year 1 learner meets Financial Accounting and Environmental Studies 36 days apart, with six other papers between them. The degree itself, 120 credits, is 3,600 hours; the honours year takes the total to 4,800.
The printed material is heavy in a different way. IGNOU issues printed study material either as a single book of blocks and units or as separate blocks for every course, on an average one block per credit, and a block usually comprises 3 to 5 units. For BCOMF, the programme guide says each course arrives as one book or e-book, with five to six blocks for a 6-credit course. The first free tool below turns your own year into hours per day against the days left.
IGNOU Blocks, a Guide Book or an eGyanKosh PDF: What Should a BCOMF Learner Use?
A BCOMF learner should read IGNOU’s blocks first, use a help book only for revision, and treat a PDF as legitimate only when it comes from IGNOU. Self-learning material (SLM) is the name IGNOU gives its own BCOMF course content: one book or e-book per course code, divided into blocks of three to five units, mailed to every learner who did not opt for digital material and open to anyone on eGyanKosh. A help book, which learners also call a guide book, is a revision volume written by a publisher outside IGNOU that condenses one course for the term-end paper; IGNOU neither writes nor endorses it. A free PDF counts as legitimate only when the file is IGNOU’s own, from egyankosh.ac.in or the IGNOU e-Content Mobile App.
| Point of comparison | IGNOU blocks (SLM) | Help book | Official PDF |
|---|---|---|---|
| Publisher | IGNOU’s School of Management Studies, and the school that owns each shared course | A private publisher | IGNOU, through eGyanKosh |
| Price to the learner | Part of the programme fee | Whatever the publisher charges | Nothing |
| Job it does | Teaches the full course and supports the assignments | Shortens revision before the year-end sitting | Lets you read a block before or without the parcel |
| Right time in the year | From the week the blocks arrive | The last weeks before the first paper | Straight after admission, or when a block is missing |
| Basis of the TEE paper | Yes, the syllabus is these blocks | No, it follows the blocks | Yes, when the file is IGNOU’s |
| Where it comes from | By post from IGNOU | From the publisher | egyankosh.ac.in and the e-Content app only |

The official material comes first, and IGNOU says so itself: the BCOMF Programme Guide calls the course material sufficient for the assignments and the term-end examination. A help book earns its place later, when eight papers have to be revised inside five weeks.
IGNOU groups the files in its own Bachelor of Commerce (BCOMF) collection on eGyanKosh, and the course syllabi are printed in the official BCOMF Programme Guide. Anyone searching for an IGNOU BCOMF pdf free download should start with those two, or follow the route to IGNOU’s free study material files; mirror sites repackage blocks whose edition cannot be checked. Official study material is linked here only at egyankosh.ac.in, and this page does not host or redistribute IGNOU’s files. For the category as a whole, the site keeps an overview of IGNOU help books by programme and a comparison of guide books against official blocks.
Before paying anyone for a BCOMF help book, check four things. The codes on the cover must be on your registration: BCOE-143, BCOE-144 and ECO-07 are BBA courses, so a “B.Com” book built on them does not match BCOMF. Data Analysis must be BECS-184, the code IGNOU examines. The medium must be the one you were admitted in. And a book that promises marks, or names the questions that will be asked, is promising something no publisher can know.
The complete course book is written to sit beside one set of IGNOU blocks. What each part does for a BCOMF learner:
Bought by code, not by year. A Year 2 learner repeating only BCOC-134 orders that one book, not an eight-book set.
One code, one course. A BCOC-131 book is the same course whether the buyer studies BCOMF, BBA or BCA_NEW, because IGNOU uses the same code in all three.
Chapters inside the code. Each book’s chapters stay within its own course: the BCOC-138 book is Cost Accounting from start to finish.
Latest solved papers. Numerical courses such as BCOC-137 and BCOE-142 are easier to prepare when the latest previous years’ papers are worked out in full.
Important questions with answers. Every code carries its own set of important questions and answers for the last weeks before the year-end sitting.
Sized for eight papers. With BCOC-131 and BEVAE-181 five weeks apart, compact chapters let a Year 1 learner move through eight courses in turn.
English or Hindi. The prospectus lists BCOMF in both media, and each book is matched to the medium on your admission.
The M.Com codes of Year 4. MCO-04, MCO-01, MCO-021 and MCO-023 each have their own book for Semester 7.
Exit courses too. BFDI-073 and CPI-101, the extra papers for the UG Certificate and the UG Diploma, are sold one book at a time.
The examined Data Analysis code. The Data Analysis book is sold under BECS-184, the code on IGNOU’s December 2026 date sheet.
PDF on WhatsApp. The soft copy reaches you on WhatsApp once the order is confirmed, which helps when a paper is close.
Print with tracking. A printed order leaves by courier the day after it is placed, and its tracking ID follows on WhatsApp.

Every BCOMF Course Code With Its Credits, Hours and Course Book
The July 2026 prospectus places 37 course codes in the BCOMF structure, and each has its own complete course book at ₹249 hard copy or ₹99 soft copy. Thirty-two are titled in the course list: 12 core, 5 minor, 4 skill, 1 interdisciplinary, 3 vocational, 5 ability enhancement and 2 value-added courses. Five more appear only in the semester table: the two exit courses BFDI-073 and CPI-101, and the Semester 8 minors MCO-024, MMPF-006 and MMPM-001.
BCOMF is the current programme code for IGNOU’s four-year Bachelor of Commerce (Honours), BCOMFOL is its online-mode counterpart, and BCOMG is the older CBCS Bachelor of Commerce, described on the BCOMG programme page, which shares many BCOC codes but is not listed in the July 2026 prospectus. A general introduction to the degree is on the IGNOU B.Com overview.

Only 5 of the 37 BCOMF codes, BCOC-134, BCOC-135, BCOC-136, BCOC-137 and BCOC-138, appear in no other programme table of the July 2026 Common Prospectus, and that is the reason to buy by code. The other 32 are shared, as the “Also in” column shows: ten with the BBA, five MCO codes with the M.Com, BCOC-131 with BCA_NEW, CPI-101 and CPI-102 with the Certificate in Consumer Protection, BMS-001 with the Certificate Programme in NGO Management, and MMPF-006 and MMPM-001 with IGNOU’s management diplomas, MMPF-006 also with the MA Economics. A learner who already holds a BBA book for BCOC-133 holds the BCOMF course; a learner holding an M.Com book printed “MCO-23” holds BCOMF’s MCO-023.
Syllabus pages in the BCOMF Programme Guide give its 6-credit courses anywhere from 17 to 23 units, so the blocks are far from even. Its rule of thumb is five to six blocks and 20 to 24 units for a 6-credit course, and four to five blocks with 14 to 20 units for a 4-credit one. BCOC-133 Business Law sits at the top with 6 blocks and 23 units. BECC-101 has 6 blocks but only 17 units, and BCOE-141 has 19. At 4 credits, BPCS-186 Managing Stress is listed with just 2 blocks and 8 units, and BMS-001, BFDI-073, BEGAE-182 and BECS-184 with 11 units each. Eight of the 6-credit courses, BCOC-132, BEDSV-101, BCOC-135, BCOC-137, BCOC-138, BCOE-142, MCO-01 and MCO-04, stop at 5 blocks, one short of the prospectus average of one block per credit. The hours stay the same whatever the block count, which is why the planner below works in hours. Past papers for Business Mathematics and Statistics are gathered on the BCOC-134 course page.
Where IGNOU’s BCOMF documents disagree, and where this site did
Data Analysis carries two codes, BECS-144 and BECS-184. The semester table and the programme guide print BECS-144; the prospectus course list and the December 2026 date sheet print BECS-184, and the date sheet has no BECS-144. The course is examined as BECS-184.
NGO Management is printed three ways. The semester table shows BMS-1, the course list BMS 01 and the date sheet BMS001. They are one course, examined as BMS-001.
Two language lists for Semester 3. The prospectus offers BEGAE-182, BHDAE-182, BSKAE-182 and BUDAE-182. The programme guide offers BEGAE-182 or one of eight Modern Indian Language courses. Your registration record settles which one you study.
The Semester 8 core course has no code. The prospectus prints “to be announced”; the programme guide names it Business Research, 8 credits, still under development. No book exists for it yet.
A value-added option outside the structure. The course list offers BNME-001 Philosophy of Swami Vivekananda beside BEDSV-101 Value Education; the semester table and the programme guide show only BEDSV-101.
Titles that slip between tables. The BCOMF course list prints “Principal of Marketing” for BCOE-141, and the Diploma in Retailing table gives BCOE-142 the title Principles of Marketing, while BCOMF and the BBA use BCOE-142 for Management Accounting. The M.Com table prints MCO-23 and MCO-24 where BCOMF prints MCO-023 and MCO-024.
Two addresses for missing material. The programme guide sends missing or defective material to the Regional Centre or ssc@ignou.ac.in; the prospectus sends non-receipt to the Registrar, MPDD. Both are official routes.
In-house. This site’s BCOC-134 page describes the course as a BCOMG paper that also applies to BCOMF and says its guide book carries a stated number of units and solved papers, with learners who use it performing well. The complete course book described on this page names no counts and makes no outcome claim. The site’s BCOMF handwritten assignment page follows the semester table and lists BECS-144. Both pages are being corrected.
Dispatch claims elsewhere. Third-party BCOMF pages give dispatch periods for IGNOU’s books. The prospectus prints one status link and one non-receipt address, given in the section on the official route, and no period.
BCOMF Books Semester by Semester, From BCOC-132 to MMPM-001
Four course books cover a normal BCOMF semester, except Semester 3, where one of four language books is chosen, and Semester 8, where the choice is three minors or the project. The codes below follow the prospectus semester table, with the December 2026 date of each paper; remember that both semesters of a year are examined together.
The complete course book covers one course code with its chapters, the latest previous years’ solved papers and the important questions and answers; the semester-wise Last Minute Exam Guide covers a whole semester at ₹249 with the important questions and answers only. This site has not published a BCOMF semester guide, so every BCOMF order on this page is a course-book order.

Books: 3, or none with the project. Across the three-year degree a learner needs at most 24 course books: 24 × ₹249 + ₹100 = ₹6,076 as hard copies, or 24 × ₹99 = ₹2,376 as soft copies.
Where IGNOU’s Printed BCOMF Material Comes From, and Who to Write To
IGNOU posts the printed BCOMF books to your address after admission unless you chose digital material, and each problem with them has one official route. Find your situation in the left column.
| Situation | Official route | Where IGNOU says so |
|---|---|---|
| The parcel has not come | The dispatch status of printed material is checked on the official study material status page linked from ignou.ac.in. The page is the IGNOU study material status link, and the enrolment number guide shows where your number is printed. Non-receipt of printed study material is taken up with the Registrar, Material Production and Distribution Division (MPDD), IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi 110068, at mpdd@ignou.ac.in. The contact table adds 011-29572008 and 29572012. | Prospectus, important links and contact table |
| You ticked digital material at admission | A learner who opts for the soft copy of the self-learning material in the online admission form receives a 15 per cent concession on the programme fee and is not sent printed material. Read the blocks on eGyanKosh or the IGNOU e-Content Mobile App. | Prospectus sections 14.13 and 1.21 |
| You need a block before the parcel | eGyanKosh, at egyankosh.ac.in, is IGNOU’s free digital repository of self-learning material. The site’s eGyanKosh how-to explains the search, and the older spelling is covered on the Gyankosh explainer. | Prospectus section 1.20 |
| A book in the parcel is missing or defective | Write to your Regional Centre or ssc@ignou.ac.in with the course code, as the programme guide asks; unresolved cases can be logged on iGRAM, IGNOU’s grievance system. | BCOMF Programme Guide, section 5.1 |
| You registered for the wrong course | A change of elective or course is allowed within 30 days of receiving the first set of material. For undergraduate courses it costs Rs. 350 for a 2 or 4 credit course and Rs. 700 for a 6 or 8 credit course, paid through your Regional Centre. | Prospectus section 14.14 |

Section 14.13 of the prospectus also states that the university is not responsible when material it has sent does not reach a learner, so keep a copy of every message. IGNOU prints no dispatch period, and none is given here.
Hindi or English, BCOMG or BCOMF: Which Edition Matches Your Registration?
Medium means the language a course is taught and examined in; for BCOMF the July 2026 prospectus prints English and Hindi. The complete course book is prepared in each medium IGNOU offers for the programme, and your medium is confirmed with your course codes on WhatsApp. Five beliefs learners bring to this question, and what the documents say:
Belief: BCOMF material is English only. Fact: eGyanKosh keeps Hindi collections for BCOC-131, BCOC-135 and BCOC-137, among others, and lists Hindi titles such as Vyavasayik sanniyam for BCOC-133. One exception is stated by IGNOU itself: in another programme’s table the prospectus notes that MMPF-006, adopted from the MBA, is available only in English medium, so its course book is confirmed in English.
Belief: a book filed under BCOMG is the wrong book. Fact: a code is a course. eGyanKosh files most BCOC courses inside its BCOMG collection and keeps a separate BCOMF collection beside it, so the same BCOC-131 can surface under either. Check the code and the edition year, not the programme name on the folder.
Belief: BECS-144 and BECS-184 are two courses. Fact: both carry the title Data Analysis, and IGNOU’s December 2026 date sheet examines only BECS-184.
Belief: MCO-23 in an M.Com book is not BCOMF’s MCO-023. Fact: it is the same Strategic Management course; the M.Com table drops the zero.
Belief: once the books arrive, the medium is fixed. Fact: the programme guide allows a change within 30 days of the first set, in the first year only, for a fee per course. Courses for the next year are chosen through the re-registration form guide.

Year 1 in Print Is ₹2,092; as PDFs It Is ₹792
₹249 per book hard copy, ₹99 per book soft copy; ₹100 delivery per hard-copy order
Order the Books for My BCOMF YearName the year, and its codes come back matched to your registration.
BCOMF Course Books as PDF or Print: What a Full Year Costs
A full BCOMF year of eight course books costs ₹792 as soft copies or ₹2,092 as hard copies, and the gap narrows per book as the order grows. The ₹100 delivery charge is paid once, so it adds ₹12.50 a book to an eight-book order and ₹100 to a single book.
Soft copy, ₹99 per book
The soft copy is sent on WhatsApp after the order is confirmed. There is no delivery charge. It suits a Year 3 learner whose first paper, BCOC-135, falls on 30 November, or anyone buying all eight books of a year at once.
Hard copy, ₹249 per book
A hard-copy order carries one fixed delivery charge of ₹100, however many books it contains. The hard copy is dispatched by courier the next day, and the courier details with the tracking ID are sent to you on WhatsApp. No delivery date is promised on this page.
Three worked orders show the arithmetic. A Year 1 learner buying all eight codes pays 8 × ₹99 = ₹792 for PDFs, or 8 × ₹249 + ₹100 = ₹2,092 in print. A Year 3 learner who wants only the four accounting and law papers, BCOC-135, BCOC-137, BCOC-138 and BCOE-142, pays ₹396 as PDFs or ₹1,096 in print. A learner repeating just BCOC-134 pays ₹99 for the PDF, or ₹349 for the printed book with delivery. Print makes sense for courses you will annotate for weeks, such as BCOC-136 Income Tax; the PDF makes sense when the first paper is days away.
Assignments, Past Papers and Other BCOMF Resources
Assignments carry 30 per cent of the final course result and the term-end examination carries the remaining 70 per cent. That split is printed in the BCOMF Programme Guide, and BCOMF’s own submission dates are explained on the BCOMF handwritten assignment page, with the general method on the handwritten assignment walkthrough. Model answers are on the solved assignments page, and marks once submitted can be traced on the assignment status page. For revision, the site keeps guess papers, solved question papers and a last year paper index; IGNOU’s own archive of previous question papers is uploaded up to the December 2025 session. Short IGNOU study notes are a separate product, and grades convert on the percentage calculator and the CGPA calculator.
Other Orders That Sit Beside the Course Books
The 12-credit Semester 8 project carries no printed book and is not sold on this page; topic and report help sits on the IGNOU projects hub, and proposal formats on the synopsis and proposal page.

How This BCOMF Page Was Checked
Questions BCOMF Learners Ask About Books
IGNOU BCOMF study material is free on eGyanKosh, in IGNOU’s Bachelor of Commerce BCOMF collection, and in the IGNOU e-Content Mobile App.
Many BCOC courses are also filed in the BCOMG collection on eGyanKosh, so search by course code. Copies on mirror sites cannot be checked for edition.
Check the study material status page on ignou.ac.in first, and read the same blocks on eGyanKosh while you wait.
If nothing arrives, write to the Registrar, MPDD, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi 110068, at mpdd@ignou.ac.in, listing each missing code. A learner who chose digital material at admission is not sent printed books.
Yes, the July 2026 prospectus lists BCOMF in English and Hindi, and eGyanKosh keeps Hindi collections for BCOC courses such as BCOC-131, BCOC-135 and BCOC-137.
One exception is stated by IGNOU: MMPF-006, adopted from the MBA, is noted as English medium only. The complete course book follows the medium on your admission.
Eight books are needed for BCOMF 1st year, because Semesters 1 and 2 are examined together at the end of the year.
They are BCOC-132, BRL-101, BEVAE-181, BECC-101, BCOC-131, BCOS-186, BCOS-183 and BEDSV-101. BFDI-073 is a ninth book only for a learner leaving with the UG Certificate.
They are the same wherever the course code is the same, because IGNOU uses one code for one course across programmes.
BCOC-131 to BCOC-138 appear in both. BCOMG courses such as BCOE-143 and BCOLA-138 are not in the BCOMF structure, so check each code against your registration.
Each BCOMF complete course book costs ₹249 as a hard copy or ₹99 as a soft copy, and a hard-copy order adds one ₹100 delivery charge.
A full year of eight books is ₹2,092 printed or ₹792 as PDFs. Every code is priced as its own book.
Each BCOMF complete course book covers one course code with its chapters, the latest previous years’ solved papers and a set of important questions with answers.
It is written to be read beside IGNOU’s blocks for that code. No year count or page count is promised.
No, the complete course book covers one course code in full, while the Last Minute Exam Guide covers a whole semester with important questions and answers only.
Both cost ₹249 in print, which is why they are confused. BCOMF has no semester guide page on this site, so BCOMF orders are for course books.
No guide book is enough on its own, because IGNOU sets BCOMF papers from its own blocks.
The BCOMF Programme Guide calls the course material sufficient for assignments and the term-end examination. A course book helps with revision and past papers and does not promise any mark.
No, the BCOMF Programme Guide holds the term-end examination for Semesters 1 and 2 together at the end of the first year.
The same applies to Semesters 3 and 4, 5 and 6, and 7 and 8. A learner may take the first sitting only after completing one year of study.
IGNOU BCOMF is a four-year programme of 160 credits, with a degree exit after three years and 120 credits.
Earlier exits give a UG Certificate after Year 1 with BFDI-073, or a UG Diploma after Year 2 with CPI-101.
The code IGNOU examines is BECS-184, which is the one on the December 2026 date sheet.
The semester table and the programme guide print BECS-144 for the same Data Analysis course. Use the code shown on your registration and hall ticket.
Year 4 of BCOMF needs four M.Com-coded books for Semester 7, MCO-04, MCO-01, MCO-021 and MCO-023, plus three minors or the project in Semester 8.
The minors are MCO-024, MMPF-006 and MMPM-001. IGNOU has not yet coded the 8-credit Semester 8 core course, so no book exists for it.
A BCOMF soft copy is sent on WhatsApp once the order is confirmed, and the hard copy is dispatched by courier the next day.
The courier details and tracking ID follow on WhatsApp. No delivery date is promised, because transit depends on the courier and the pin code.
Yes, the BCOMF Programme Guide allows a change of medium within 30 days of receiving the first set of material, in the first year only.
The fee is ₹350 plus ₹350 for each 4-credit course and ₹700 for each 6-credit course, and requests go to your Regional Centre.
December 2026 BCOMF papers start on 27 November 2026 with BHDAE-182 and end on 13 January 2027, per IGNOU’s tentative date sheet.
First-year papers start later, on 8 December with BCOC-131. The sheet may still change, and your hall ticket carries the final date.
BCOMF and BCOMAF are different IGNOU programmes with different course lists, and this page covers BCOMF only.
