Quick answer. An IGNOU MGPS guess paper is a revision set of recurring questions, with model answers, for one MGP or MGPE course code of the MA in Gandhi and Peace Studies, built from IGNOU’s past papers and the syllabus. IGNOU’s tentative date sheet dated 21 September 2026 runs the December 2026 term-end examination from 25 November 2026 to 13 January 2027, and the MGPS papers fall between MGP-001 on 2 December and MGPE-013 on 30 December. Every MGP-001, MGP-002 and MGP-005 paper from December 2022 to December 2025 compared by ignouproject.com is 2 hours and 50 marks, with any five of ten questions at 10 marks each. The rate is ₹49 per subject code as a PDF or ₹100 per subject code as a printed copy, and printed orders carry a one-time ₹100 courier charge. Sets are prepared in English and Hindi, the two media IGNOU examines MGPS in, and no one outside IGNOU knows the questions in advance.

Tentative · IGNOU sheet dated 21 September 2026
These dates come from IGNOU’s tentative date sheet for the December 2026 term-end examination, headed 21 September 2026, which gave learners until 25 September 2026 to report discrepancies to datesheet@ignou.ac.in. Every one of the 16 MGP and MGPE theory codes appears on it, each on its own date. The sheet places each code in a morning slot (10 AM to 1 PM) or an evening slot (2 PM to 5 PM); confirm the column for each code on the sheet itself or on your hall ticket, and see how the two IGNOU exam slots work if the timing is new to you.
Reports of a further revision circulated in the first week of October 2026, but the file at IGNOU’s address was still the 21 September version on 13 October 2026. If IGNOU posts a newer sheet, its dates replace the ones below, and ignouproject.com’s December 2026 date sheet guide follows the change.

Seven Backlog Papers Between 17 and 24 December
A first-year learner sits eight papers. Three come on consecutive days, MGP-001, MGP-002 and MGP-003 from 2 to 4 December, and the other five fall on 9, 15, 17, 18 and 24 December. A second-year learner who takes all seven options sits MGPE-008 on 12 December and MGP-005 on 19 December, then faces two three-day runs: MGPE-012, MGPE-015 and MGPE-016 from 21 to 23 December, and MGPE-010, MGPE-011 and MGPE-013 from 28 to 30 December.
The hardest stretch belongs to anyone carrying papers from both years. MGPE-007, MGPE-014 and MGP-005 fall on 17, 18 and 19 December; Sunday 20 December is free; then MGPE-012, MGPE-015, MGPE-016 and MGPE-006 follow from 21 to 24 December. That is seven papers in eight days. No two MGPS codes share a date on the 21 September sheet, so there is no clash to report.
- Finish MGP-001, MGP-002 and MGP-003 revision before 1 December. The run from 2 to 4 December leaves no gap day.
- Carrying both years? Revise MGPE-012, MGPE-015 and MGPE-016 before 17 December, because only Sunday 20 December separates the two runs.
- The run sheet further down marks every back-to-back pair among the codes you tick.
These dates apply only if the December 2026 exam form was submitted. The IGNOU exam fee rules cover what the form costs, paying the exam fee online covers the payment step, and finding your IGNOU exam centre explains the centre printed on the hall ticket.
What the Two-Hour MGPS Paper Counts For, and the Figure IGNOU Does Not Print
The MGPS term-end paper is a 2-hour, 50-mark sitting, and IGNOU prints no weightage figure for it. None of the fifteen MGP papers from December 2022 to December 2025 carries a weightage line, and neither does the MAGPS assignment booklet for 2024-25 or the 2025-26 MGPE-008 assignment file. The July 2026 Common Prospectus is silent on it for MGPS too. How the TMA and the term-end paper combine into a course grade is set out in the MGPS Programme Guide, so check it there instead of trusting a figure carried over from another programme.
What the papers do show is the size of each answer. An MGP TMA question is worth 20 marks out of 100 and asks for about 500 words. A term-end question is worth 10 marks out of 50 and asks for 400 or 500 words in about 24 minutes, with no books open. The exam answer is the same length as the TMA answer and earns half the marks per question, which is why answer length, not volume of reading, decides how an MGP paper goes.
Results come as grade points. Once they are out, the IGNOU percentage calculator converts them for a job or admission form.
MGPS Guess Paper, IGNOU’s Old MGP Paper or a Solved Paper: Picking the Right One
An IGNOU MGPS guess paper is a revision set of important and recurring questions for one course code, such as MGP-005, with model answers, prepared by a publisher from IGNOU’s past papers and the syllabus. Learners also call it important questions, expected questions or a model paper, and all three names describe the same product.
A previous year question paper is the actual paper IGNOU set in an earlier term-end examination, such as the December 2025 MGP-005 paper, and IGNOU’s archive gives it away free. A solved question paper is that actual IGNOU paper with a publisher’s model answers added.

| MGPS guess paper | IGNOU previous year paper | Solved question paper | |
|---|---|---|---|
| What it is | Recurring questions for one MGP or MGPE code, with model answers | The paper IGNOU set in one past sitting | One past IGNOU paper with model answers |
| Who makes it | A publisher | IGNOU | A publisher |
| Cost | ₹49 PDF or ₹100 printed per code | Free on ignou.ac.in | Varies by seller |
| Good for | Practising 10-mark answers on themes that returned | Seeing the current layout and wording | Checking how one past paper could be answered |
| Cannot do | Predict the December 2026 paper | Give answers or rank themes | Cover themes outside that one sitting |
The order that works for most MGPS learners is simple. Open the two newest IGNOU papers for your code first, because they are free and show whether the paper has sections and what word limit it prints. Then use a guess paper to practise model answers at 10-mark length. For MGP-005 the old papers are an unusually strong guide, since several themes kept the same question number for five sittings. For MGP-002 they are a weaker template, because the section rule has changed twice since December 2022.
Model answers to individual past sittings are listed among the solved versions of older IGNOU papers, and guess paper sets for other IGNOU programmes sit on the main guess paper page.
- Built per MGP code. Each set covers one course code, so MGP-001 and MGP-005 are never mixed in one booklet.
- Written for 10 marks. Model answers are pitched at 400 to 500 words, the length the papers print.
- MGP-005 slots first. The themes that held Q1, Q2, Q3 and Q10 from December 2022 to December 2025 get full answers.
- Both early satyagrahas. Champaran and Kheda each get a structured MGP-001 answer, because Q4 asked one of them in all five papers.
- Either MGP-002 layout. Practice works whether the paper prints two sections or none at all.
- Short notes included. MGP-001 split Q9 into two 5-mark notes in December 2025, so the set carries short notes.
- Year 2 options covered. Sets exist for MGPE-008 to MGPE-016, whichever options you chose.
- English or Hindi. Prepared in the medium you sit, confirmed on WhatsApp before payment.
- December 2026 target. Built for the paper that opens on 2 December, not for a recycled older session.
- Distance format. Answers fit the 2-hour distance paper, not the 3-hour online one.
- Two formats. A PDF on WhatsApp or a printed booklet sent by courier.
- No accuracy claim. The set says what it is: revision built from past papers and the syllabus.
Year 1 comes first: MGP-001, MGP-002 and MGP-003 sit on 2, 3 and 4 December.
Send the codes for the first run now and they can be revised in order, oldest exam first.

MGP and MGPE Codes, Credits and the Fifty-Mark Paper Layout
The MA in Gandhi and Peace Studies carries 64 credits: 32 in Year 1 and 32 in Year 2, with every theory course worth 4 credits, according to section 3.25 of the July 2026 Common Prospectus. The 32 Year 2 credits are MGP-005 plus 28 optional credits, which the prospectus fills with the seven 4-credit options, or with five options and an 8-credit project taken in place of two. The IGNOU prospectus explained covers where these tables sit.

These eight courses are also the whole of the Post Graduate Diploma in Gandhi and Peace Studies (PGDGPS), 32 credits, in section 8.11 of the same prospectus, so a PGDGPS learner sits the same papers on the same dates. The PG Certificate (PGCGPS) uses four of the codes: MGP-001, MGP-005, MGPE-007 and MGPE-008.

Fifty Marks in Two Hours: How the Three Newest MGP Papers Are Laid Out
The MGP-001, MGP-002 and MGP-005 papers of December 2025 are each 2 hours and 50 marks, with ten questions and any five to be answered at 10 marks each. MGP-001 and MGP-005 ask for about 500 words an answer and at least two answers from each section; MGP-002 asks for about 400 words. None of the three prints a weightage line.
Scroll sideways to see every column.
| Code | Latest IGNOU paper | Time | Max marks | Layout | Attempt rule | Marks per answer | Word limit | Medium |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| MGP-001 | December 2025 | 2 hours | 50 | Sections I and II, ten questions | Any five, at least two from each section | 10 marks; Q9 split into two 5-mark short notes | About 500 words | English, then Hindi in the same file |
| MGP-002 | December 2025 | 2 hours | 50 | Sections I and II, ten questions (no sections in December 2024 and June 2025) | Any five; the instruction reads at least two questions from Section | 10 marks | About 400 words | English, then Hindi in the same file |
| MGP-005 | December 2025 | 2 hours | 50 | Sections I and II, ten questions | Any five, at least two from each section | 10 marks | About 500 words | English, then Hindi in the same file |
Two hours across five answers leaves 24 minutes for each. Take 10 minutes to choose questions and plan, and 22 minutes remain for every answer: about 23 words a minute for a 500-word MGP-001 or MGP-005 answer, and about 18 for a 400-word MGP-002 answer. Writing at that pace is what an MGP paper tests, so practise it before December rather than in the hall. The five-answer timer below repeats the arithmetic for any planning time between 0 and 20 minutes.
The same 2-hour, 50-mark heading appears on the two other MGPS papers checked for format: MGP-004 in June 2023 and MGPE-008 in December 2023.
Distance or Online: Two Different MGP-001 Papers
The MGP-001 paper for the online programme runs 3 hours for 100 marks, while the distance MGPS paper runs 2 hours for 50 marks, so the two are different examinations. The online version, headed MGPOL and filed in the June 2023 folder of IGNOU’s archive as an MGP-001 paper for online learners, sets seventeen questions in three sections, of which twelve are answered.
Scroll sideways to see every column.
| Distance MGPS paper (MGP-001, December 2025) | Online paper (MGP-001, headed MGPOL) | |
|---|---|---|
| Time | 2 hours | 3 hours |
| Maximum marks | 50 | 100 |
| Questions | Ten in two sections; answer any five | Seventeen in three sections |
| Marks per answer | 10 | 4 (five of seven), 10 (five of seven), 15 (two of three) |
| Word limit | About 500 words | 200 words in Section II |
MGPS is the distance (ODL) code. The online version is listed as MAGPSOL in the July 2026 Common Prospectus and as MGPSOL on IGNOU’s online programme sheet, and a set written for one format trains the wrong answer length for the other. MGPS is also not MPS, which is IGNOU’s MA in Political Science; search engines mix the two up.
Where IGNOU’s Own MGPS Documents Disagree
Documents that disagree, and old material to avoid. Each item below names the documents involved, so you can check your own copy.
- The July 2026 Common Prospectus titles MGPE-008 “Gandhi Approach to Peace and Conflict Resolutions” in the MGPS table, but “Gandhian Approach to Peace and Conflict Resolution” in the PGCGPS table. The December 2023 MGPE-008 paper and the 2025-26 assignment file use the second title.
- The same prospectus calls MGPE-007 “Non-violent Movements after Gandhi” for MGPS and “Non-violence Movements after Gandhi” for PGCGPS.
- IGNOU’s MGPS programme page lists MGP-005 under Year 1 and only five Year 2 courses. The prospectus puts MGP-005 in Year 2 as compulsory, MGPE-009 and MGPE-014 in Year 1, and seven Year 2 options. Your enrolment record decides which year a code belongs to.
- The online programme sheet prints MGPE-006, MGPE-007 and MGPE-009 as MGP-006, MGP-007 and MGP-009. The date sheet and the papers use the MGPE prefix.
- The 2024-25 MAGPS booklet prints the MGPE-012 assignment code as “MGP-012/ASST/TMA/2024-25”, and the prospectus calls the 8-credit MGPE-017 “Project Work” in its table and “Dissertation” in the footnote.
- The December 2025 MGP-002 paper prints “Select at least two questions from Section”, with the word “each” missing. Treat it as two from each section unless the invigilator says otherwise.
- ignouproject.com’s own MGPS handwritten assignment page describes each term-end paper as 100 marks and states a 70 and 30 split. The distance MGP papers print 50 marks and no weightage, and that wording is being corrected.
- Older MGPS guess PDFs often reuse papers from 2012 to 2018, which IGNOU’s archive files under a former school name and a misspelt programme folder. They predate the 400-word MGP-002 limit used since December 2024 and the section changes described below.
Fifteen MGP Papers Side by Side, December 2022 to December 2025
Seven MGP-005 themes appeared in all five IGNOU papers from December 2022 to December 2025, and four of them sat at the same question number every time: the meaning of peace at Q1, well-being at Q2, peace and democracy at Q3, and peace movements at Q10. No other course in this comparison is that fixed.

One MGP-005 question came back almost word for word. Q8 in June 2025 and Q8 in December 2025 both asked learners to explain the statement that ahimsa is the means and truth the end; the December 2025 paper misprints the word as “Ahmisa”. The conflict-resolution question changed its angle each time (intervention, coercion, pacific settlement, negotiation), so a set that drills one method alone would leave Q7 half covered.
MGP-001: Q4 Is Always an Early Satyagraha
Q4 of MGP-001 asked about Champaran or Kheda in every one of the five IGNOU papers from June 2023 to December 2025: Kheda in June 2023 and December 2025, Champaran in December 2023, December 2024 and June 2025. Q2 asked about the influences that shaped Gandhi, through Ruskin, the London years or Western thought, in all five, and Section II asked about the constructive programme in all five.

| Bhagavad Gita | Q1 | none | Q3 | none | none | 2 of 5 |
A 10-mark frame for the Q4 slot, built on the two satyagrahas IGNOU has rotated, keeps the answer near 500 words:
- Setting, in two or three sentences: indigo cultivators in Champaran in 1917, or Kheda peasants seeking revenue relief after crop failure in 1918.
- Method: inquiry and recorded testimony, open defiance of an order, non-payment, and the discipline asked of volunteers.
- Outcome: what the administration conceded, and what it did not.
- Significance: why the episode is called a turning point, and how it fed the Non-Cooperation Movement, which the same paper asked about in four of the five sittings, three times at Q5.
December 2025 also brought the first short-note question in these five MGP-001 papers: Q9 split into Savarkar and Tilak at 5 marks each.
MGP-002: The Section Rule That Comes and Goes
The MGP-002 paper has switched its layout twice since December 2022. It printed no sections in December 2022, two sections with an at-least-two-from-each rule in December 2023, no sections again in December 2024 and June 2025, and two sections in December 2025. Its word limit fell from about 500 words to about 400 words in December 2024 and has stayed there.

MGP-002 spreads its questions across more themes than MGP-005 and moves them between question numbers, so no single slot is safe. The two themes that came back in four of five papers, the critique of modern civilisation and the religious traditions behind Gandhi’s thought, are the sensible first answers to prepare.
How the MGP Counts Were Made
The counts come from fifteen IGNOU term-end papers, each compared in full by ignouproject.com on 13 October 2026: MGP-001 for June 2023, December 2023, December 2024, June 2025 and December 2025, and MGP-002 and MGP-005 for December 2022, December 2023, December 2024, June 2025 and December 2025. December 2025 is the newest sitting counted, because IGNOU had not posted the June 2026 papers by 13 October 2026, and its archive did not return the June 2024 files for these three codes. Matching is topic-level and a human judgement: Champaran and Kheda are counted as one early-satyagraha theme and shown separately in the table. A count such as 5 of 5 describes what IGNOU has asked; it says nothing about what IGNOU will ask in December 2026.
The theme tables cover MGP-001, MGP-002 and MGP-005. For the other MGP and MGPE codes, the format is confirmed against the latest IGNOU paper on WhatsApp before a set is sent. IGNOU’s own files behind the counts:
- MGP-001: MGP-001 June 2023, MGP-001 December 2023, MGP-001 December 2024, MGP-001 June 2025, MGP-001 December 2025
- MGP-002: MGP-002 December 2022, MGP-002 December 2023, MGP-002 December 2024, MGP-002 June 2025, MGP-002 December 2025
- MGP-005: MGP-005 December 2022, MGP-005 December 2023, MGP-005 December 2024, MGP-005 June 2025, MGP-005 December 2025
- Format only: MGP-004 June 2023, MGPE-008 December 2023
Files from December 2024 sit at addresses with no session in them, so the session above is the one printed on page 1 of each paper.
Five Steps Between Your MGP Code and a Ready Set
A set starts from one course code and ends as model answers timed for a 2-hour paper. The five steps:
- Code and year. The set starts from your MGP or MGPE code and your year (Year 1, Year 2 or both), because that decides which December run you face.
- The newest IGNOU papers for that code. The December 2025 paper and the sittings before it fix the layout: sections or none, 400 or 500 words, and any short notes.
- Themes ranked by how often they returned. Themes such as the MGP-005 Q1 to Q3 trio get full model answers first; a theme seen once gets a shorter answer.
- Answers written to the clock. Each answer is pitched at 10 marks and the printed word limit, so it can be written in about 22 minutes.
- Medium and format confirmed. English or Hindi is agreed on WhatsApp, then the PDF is shared or the printed copy is dispatched.
Limits of an MGPS Guess Paper, and the Hours It Can Save
A guess paper is a revision aid built from past IGNOU question papers and the syllabus. No one outside IGNOU knows the questions in advance, and no claim is made that any question in this set will appear in your examination.
What It Does for an MGP Paper
For MGPS, a set saves the hours spent working out what IGNOU tends to ask. It puts the recurring MGP-005 themes in the order they usually appear, gives MGP-001 learners a ready frame for the Champaran or Kheda question, prepares MGP-002 answers that survive either layout, and keeps every answer near the 400 or 500 words a 10-mark question needs.
What No MGPS Set Can Do
It cannot tell you which five questions will appear on 2 December or any later date, and it cannot replace the MGP blocks that the questions are set from. A theme that came back five times can still be dropped. If IGNOU changes the MGP-002 layout again, or the word limit, a set written for the old layout needs adjusting, which is why the format is confirmed against the latest paper before each order.
Revise MGPS free first. IGNOU’s past MGP papers cost nothing; the steps to open them are in the section on IGNOU’s files below.
The MGP and MGPE blocks are free as MGP blocks on eGyankosh, with the Gyankosh route to the same blocks if the first link is slow. Short revision material is in free IGNOU study notes, and the IGNOU books download guide explains how to get the printed blocks as PDFs.

Where the MGP Question Papers and the 21 September Sheet Sit on ignou.ac.in
IGNOU’s past MGP papers are free on ignou.ac.in, and IGNOU’s December 2025 question paper list names all sixteen MGP and MGPE codes, from MGP-001 to MGPE-016. To open them:
- Open the question paper list for the session you want and search the page for MGP.
- Download the file for your code. The Hindi version follows the English one inside the same file; there is no separate Hindi download.
- Check the session printed on page 1, because some MGP files sit at addresses with no session in them.
- For the dates, open the tentative December 2026 sheet linked in the exam-date section above and check the slot for each code.
IGNOU’s June 2026 question paper list was still empty on 13 October 2026, so the newest MGP papers available are from December 2025. Older sittings are gathered by programme on IGNOU last year papers by programme, and how IGNOU date sheets are published explains the tentative, revised and final stages a sheet goes through.
Before 2 December and After 30 December: Admit Card, Result, Revaluation
When IGNOU releases the December hall ticket, it carries the centre and slot for every MGP code you registered. Check it against the date table above as soon as it appears.
After 30 December, the IGNOU term-end result appears code by code. Learners re-sitting a paper from June can confirm the earlier status on the June 2026 result page before December. TMA marks on the grade card show whether the assignment half of each course has been recorded; a paper that looks under-marked can go for revaluation of a term-end answer script; and the final grade card and the IGNOU CGPA calculator cover the end of the programme.
What MGPS Learners Pair With a Revision Set
Most MGPS orders that include a guess paper also involve the TMA. The MGPS handwritten assignment page covers the sixteen MGP and MGPE assignments, and solved IGNOU assignments are the typed alternative. For deeper reading than a guess paper, IGNOU help books and guide books online cover the same codes, and the full list of service charges puts every price in one place.
Learners taking the 8-credit MGPE-017 in place of two options will find its MGPE-017 project guidance on a separate page.
Medium: MGP Papers Print Hindi Straight After English
IGNOU examines MGPS in English and Hindi. The July 2026 Common Prospectus and IGNOU’s MGPS programme page both give English and Hindi as the medium, and the MGP papers print the Hindi version straight after the English in one file, with the same ten questions and the same instructions. The Hindi text of the December 2025 MGP-001 paper and the June 2025 MGP-002 paper spells Gandhi’s name two different ways, which changes nothing in the questions.
Each set is prepared for the upcoming term-end examination, in every medium IGNOU examines that course in, and the medium for your course code is confirmed on WhatsApp before you pay.
Every MGPS set sold now targets the December 2026 papers, which open on 2 December. A set prepared for June 2026 is a different product, even for the same code.
Sending an MGPS Order on WhatsApp
- Send your MGP and MGPE codes to +91 93546 37830, with your year and the format you want, PDF or printed copy.
- Confirm the medium, English or Hindi, for each code.
- Pay for the codes; printed orders add the courier charge once.
- Receive the PDF on WhatsApp, or the courier details for the printed copy.
The rate is ₹49 per subject code for a solved guess paper as a PDF, or ₹100 per subject code as a printed copy. Printed copies carry a one-time courier charge of ₹100 per order, whatever the number of subject codes; the PDF has no courier charge.
The PDF is shared on WhatsApp once payment is confirmed. A printed copy is dispatched the next day after payment is confirmed, and the courier details are shared on WhatsApp. No arrival date is promised, because transit time depends on the courier and your location.
There is no minimum order: one subject or ten, same rate per format.

How This MGPS Page Was Checked, and by Whom
IGNOU documents. The course codes, titles and credits come from section 3.25 of the July 2026 Common Prospectus. The dates come from IGNOU’s tentative December 2026 date sheet dated 21 September 2026. The paper layouts and question themes come from the fifteen MGP papers linked in the evidence section, plus the June 2023 MGP-004 and December 2023 MGPE-008 papers for format, and the online MGP-001 paper for comparison.

Published 13 October 2026. Last reviewed 13 October 2026. Next review: March 2027, when the June 2027 tentative date sheet is expected, or earlier if IGNOU revises the December 2026 sheet.
Limits stated plainly: the December 2026 sheet is still tentative; the June 2024 MGP papers were not available from IGNOU’s archive, and the June 2026 papers had not been posted; the theme tables cover three of the sixteen codes; and a count of past questions is not a forecast.
MGPS Guess Paper FAQ: Price, Dates, Hindi and Repeats
Yes. IGNOU MGPS guess papers for the December 2026 term-end examination are prepared per course code, from MGP-001 to MGPE-016, in English or Hindi. Each set is built from IGNOU’s past MGP papers and the syllabus, with model answers written for the 2-hour, 50-mark paper. Send your codes on WhatsApp to order.
An IGNOU MGPS guess paper costs ₹49 per subject code as a PDF or ₹100 per subject code as a printed copy. Printed orders add a one-time ₹100 courier charge per order, whatever the number of codes, and the PDF has no courier charge. There is no minimum order.
The first MGPS paper in December 2026 is MGP-001 on Wednesday 2 December, and the last is MGPE-013 on Wednesday 30 December, per IGNOU’s tentative date sheet dated 21 September 2026. The whole December cycle runs from 25 November 2026 to 13 January 2027. Check each slot on your hall ticket.
The MGPS term-end paper is 2 hours and 50 marks. Every MGP-001, MGP-002 and MGP-005 paper from December 2022 to December 2025 asked for any five of ten questions at 10 marks each, in about 400 or 500 words. The online MAGPSOL paper is different: 3 hours and 100 marks.
Seven MGP-005 themes appeared in all five IGNOU papers from December 2022 to December 2025, including the meaning of peace, well-being, peace and democracy, and peace movements. Those four held the same number every time: Q1, Q2, Q3 and Q10. Past repetition says nothing certain about December 2026.
Three MGP-001 themes appeared in all five IGNOU papers from June 2023 to December 2025: the constructive programme, an early satyagraha at Q4 (Champaran three times, Kheda twice), and the influences on Gandhi at Q2. The Non-Cooperation Movement appeared in four of the five papers.
It depends on the sitting. The MGP-002 paper had no sections in December 2022, two in December 2023, none in December 2024 and June 2025, and two again in December 2025, when the instruction was printed incompletely. Prepare for either layout and about 400 words per answer.
No one can promise that any MGPS question will come. A guess paper is a revision aid built from past IGNOU question papers and the syllabus. No one outside IGNOU knows the questions in advance, and no claim is made that any question in this set will appear in your examination.
Yes. IGNOU examines MGPS in English and Hindi, and its MGP papers print the Hindi version after the English in the same file, with the same ten questions. MGPS sets are prepared in both media, and the medium for each code is confirmed on WhatsApp before you pay.
An MGPS learner gets most from both, in order. Start with IGNOU’s two newest papers for the MGP code, which are free and show the current layout, then use a guess paper for model answers at 10-mark length. For MGP-005 the old papers are a strong guide; for MGP-002 the layout has changed twice.
MGPS previous year question papers are free on ignou.ac.in. IGNOU’s December 2025 question paper list names MGP-001 to MGPE-016, and each file carries the Hindi version after the English. Check the session printed on page 1, because some MGP files sit at addresses with no session in them.
No. A solved question paper is an actual IGNOU paper, such as the December 2025 MGP-005 paper, with a publisher’s model answers added. An MGPS guess paper is a revision set of recurring questions for one code, drawn from several past papers and the syllabus. One answers a past sitting; the other prepares the next.
IGNOU prints no weightage figure on MGPS papers. None of the fifteen MGP papers from December 2022 to December 2025 states one, and neither does the 2024-25 MAGPS booklet or the 2025-26 MGPE-008 assignment file. The MGPS Programme Guide sets out how the TMA and the term-end paper combine.
No. MGPS is IGNOU’s distance MA in Gandhi and Peace Studies. MAGPSOL is the online version, whose MGP-001 paper runs 3 hours for 100 marks. PGDGPS is the diploma made of the same eight Year 1 courses, and MPS is a different programme, the MA in Political Science.
MGP-001, MGP-002 and MGP-003 fall on three consecutive days, 2 to 4 December 2026. MGPE-007 and MGPE-014 follow on 17 and 18 December, and Year 2 has two three-day runs, 21 to 23 and 28 to 30 December. A learner carrying both years sits seven papers between 17 and 24 December.
A printed MGPS set is dispatched the next day after payment is confirmed, and the courier details are shared on WhatsApp. No arrival date is promised, because transit time depends on the courier and your location. The PDF is shared on WhatsApp once payment is confirmed.
Judge any MGPS guess paper seller on five checks: the current MGP or MGPE code, the 2-hour, 50-mark distance format, the session it targets, model answers at 10-mark length, and whether it claims accuracy. A percentage-of-questions or marks promise is a reason for caution, because no seller can know the paper.
