IGNOU MGPS Handwritten Assignment
IGNOU Prints Four Names For One Programme. Your Sixteen Handwritten MGPS Papers Are The Same Under All Of Them.
The Common Prospectus calls it MGPS. The assignment booklet calls it MAGPS. The online-mode list calls it MAGPSOL and eGyanKosh files it as MA(GPS). Behind all four sits one course list, MGP-001 to MGPE-016, sixteen codes that carry a tutor marked assignment, and one pair of cut-off dates that are not the ones most IGNOU websites print. This page prepares the handwritten set for any of those codes.
- 16 TMA codes, MGP-001 to MGPE-016
- MGPE-017 carries no TMA
- 31 March and 30 September
- English and Hindi booklets
- SOSS, Centre for Gandhi and Peace Studies
- Backlog codes accepted

Quick answer. An IGNOU MGPS handwritten assignment is a handwritten answer set for the tutor marked assignment questions IGNOU issues for the Master of Arts in Gandhi and Peace Studies, a 64-credit two-year programme run by the Centre for Gandhi and Peace Studies inside the School of Social Sciences, and its course codes run MGP-001 to MGP-005 and then MGPE-006 to MGPE-017, of which sixteen carry a tutor marked assignment and MGPE-017 does not because it is project work; ignouproject.com prepares that handwritten set at ₹320 per subject, hard copy only, with courier included in that price and no separate shipping charge, the service covers all mediums IGNOU issues the TMA paper in, at the same price, which for MGPS means the English and the Hindi booklet alike, any session is accepted, current cycle or older, including backlog courses, at the same ₹320 per subject, and if you send a photo of a page you have written yourself the handwritten set is matched to your handwriting at no extra charge; assignments carry 30 per cent of the final course result and the term-end examination carries the remaining 70 per cent, the MGPS booklet prints 31 March for the July session and 30 September for the January session, and orders are placed on WhatsApp at +91 93546 37830 by sending your codes, session and handwriting sample.
The Two Dates Printed Inside The MGPS Booklet
Most IGNOU news pages print one national assignment deadline and apply it to every programme. The MGPS booklet does not agree with them. The assignment booklet published by the Centre for Gandhi and Peace Studies prints its own submission schedule on the page before the first question, and those are the dates a Gandhi and Peace Studies learner is held to.
Read off the live MGP Gandhi and Peace Studies (Modular) booklet, session 2025-2026:
July session
31 March
The 2025-2026 booklet prints 31 March 2026 as the last date for the July 2025 session. The same 31 March position applies to the July cycle that follows.
January session
30 September
The same booklet prints 30 September 2026 as the last date for the January 2026 session. Submission goes to the Coordinator of the study centre allotted to you.
Dates shift by session and by Regional Centre. Confirm yours on ignou.ac.in and with your Regional Centre before you rely on either figure.
Do not carry the 31 October and 30 April dates onto an MGPS paper.
Those two dates belong to the School of Management Studies. They are printed on MBA and M.Com booklets and they are widely reproduced as if they were universal. At least one commercial assignment site currently tells MGPS learners to submit by 30 April 2026 and 31 October 2026. The MGPS booklet itself prints 31 March and 30 September. Where a third-party page and IGNOU’s own booklet disagree, the booklet wins.
Because the submission window is fixed and your writing time is not, the practical question for an MGPS learner in the middle of a cycle is how many of the sixteen codes are still unwritten. Sixteen handwritten assignments at 100 marks each, five questions apiece, is a large amount of longhand. The step-by-step handwritten assignment guide sets out how to do that assignment writing yourself if you have the weeks for it.
Thirty Marks A Course, Sixteen Courses, One Handwriting Problem
Assignments carry 30 per cent of the final course result and the term-end examination carries the remaining 70 per cent. For an MGPS learner that arithmetic repeats sixteen times. Across the full programme those assignment marks are worth roughly the same as five whole term-end papers, and unlike a term-end paper they are written at home, with the book open, against a deadline six months away.
That is what makes them easy to lose. A Gandhi and Peace Studies TMA is not a short-answer paper. Each course paper carries 100 marks and asks for five answers, at least two drawn from each of its two sections, with the Section I answers running to about 500 words and each part of a Section II short note running to about 250 words. Written out by hand, a single MGPS handwritten assignment is a substantial notebook in itself. Sixteen handwritten sets is a term’s worth of longhand before any exam revision starts, which is why the MGPS syllabus defeats more learners on writing time than on difficulty.
The marks also sit on the grade card separately, which is why a missing assignment shows up as an incomplete course long after the term-end result is out. You can watch that column yourself through the IGNOU assignment result and status checker, and read the entries against the final grade card explainer once both halves are posted.
Written against the MGPS booklet, not a generic template. The questions answered in the handwritten set are the ones printed in the MGP Gandhi and Peace Studies (Modular) booklet for your session, section by section, in the order the booklet numbers them.
Sixteen codes, ordered one at a time. Any of the sixteen can be ordered as a single handwritten assignment. There is no minimum order: one subject or fourteen, same rate. An MGPS learner short on three optional papers orders three handwritten sets, not a year bundle.
Your own hand, from a photo. Send a photo of a page you have written yourself and the handwritten set is matched to your handwriting at no extra charge. Your own handwriting, on every handwritten page.
Both MGPS booklets, one price. The service covers all mediums IGNOU issues the TMA paper in, at the same price. IGNOU publishes MGPS in English medium and in Hindi medium, and the handwritten set is ₹320 per subject in every medium.
Old MGP cycles are not turned away. Any session is accepted, current cycle or older, including backlog courses, at the same ₹320 per subject. A 2023-24 MGPE-013 handwritten assignment is ordered exactly as a current one is, and an older cycle costs no more.
The 500 and 250 word limits are respected. The MGPS paper prints its own two-tier word limit. Those printed limits, not a house style, decide how long each answer runs.
Section balance is checked before dispatch. Every MGPS paper requires at least two answers from each section. A handwritten set that answers five questions from Section I alone breaks the paper’s own instruction, so the split is checked before the handwritten pages leave.
The assignment code is written the MGPS way. Gandhi and Peace Studies papers carry an extra segment other schools do not use. The code block is copied in the booklet’s own format rather than an MBA-style one.
A4 sheets, blue or black ink. Every handwritten page is written on A4 in the ink IGNOU asks for, one side only, with a clear left margin for the evaluator’s remarks and each question started fresh.
Cover page attached, details left blank. The front page comes attached and unfilled. You write your enrolment number, name and study centre code in your own hand, because you are the one signing the declaration.
Couriered, not emailed. The rate is ₹320 per subject, hard copy only, with courier included in that price and no separate shipping charge. No soft copy or PDF is sold, so what arrives is the handwritten paper itself.
Delivery quoted to your pin code. Delivery depends on your pin code and is confirmed for your order before you pay. No figure is promised on this page.
Have Your MGP And MGPE Codes In Front Of You?
Send them as they appear on your admission record. MGP-001 and MGPE-011 are read the same way whether your prospectus prints them padded or unpadded, and a mixed first-year and second-year list is fine in one message.
₹320 per subject · hard copy only · courier included · no minimum order
Every MGP And MGPE Code, Year By Year
MGPS is a 64-credit programme of sixteen four-credit courses plus one eight-credit project, spread across two years. Year one is entirely compulsory. Year two carries one compulsory course and an optional pool. The tables below are taken from the IGNOU Common Prospectus for July 2026, section 3.25, and the course titles are cross-read against the live assignment booklet.
The code series is worth understanding once, because it explains why learners search for the same paper under two prefixes. MGP is the prefix on courses one to five. MGPE is the prefix from six to seventeen. The number does not restart when the prefix changes, so MGP-005 is followed directly by MGPE-006. MGPS is the programme code in the Common Prospectus, MAGPS is the code IGNOU’s own assignment portal files the booklet under, MAGPSOL is the online-mode variant and eGyanKosh catalogues the study material as MA(GPS).
| Course code | Official title | Credits | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| MGP-001 | Gandhi: The Man and His Times | 4 | Compulsory |
| MGP-002 | Philosophy of Gandhi | 4 | Compulsory |
| MGP-003 | Gandhi’s Social Thought | 4 | Compulsory |
| MGP-004 | Gandhi’s Political Thought | 4 | Compulsory |
| MGPE-006 | Gandhi’s Economic Thought | 4 | Compulsory |
| MGPE-007 | Non-violent Movements after Gandhi | 4 | Compulsory |
| MGPE-009 | Gandhi in the 21st Century | 4 | Compulsory |
| MGPE-014 | Gandhi, Ecology and Sustainable Development | 4 | Compulsory |
Eight courses, 32 credits, all compulsory. Scroll the table sideways on a narrow screen.
| Course code | Official title | Credits | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| MGP-005 | Introduction to Peace and Conflict Resolution | 4 | Compulsory |
| MGPE-008 | Gandhian Approach to Peace and Conflict Resolution | 4 | Optional pool |
| MGPE-010 | Conflict Management, Transformation and Peace Building | 4 | Optional pool |
| MGPE-011 | Human Security | 4 | Optional pool |
| MGPE-012 | Women and Peace | 4 | Optional pool |
| MGPE-013 | Civil Society, Political Regimes and Conflict | 4 | Optional pool |
| MGPE-015 | Introduction to Research Methods | 4 | Optional pool |
| MGPE-016 | Human Rights: Indian Perspective | 4 | Optional pool |
| MGPE-017 | Project Work — dissertation, no tutor marked assignment | 8 | Optional, in lieu of two four-credit courses |
MGP-005 plus 28 optional credits, 32 in total. Scroll sideways to read the whole table.
The second-year arithmetic has a consequence learners rarely notice until re-registration. The optional pool holds exactly seven four-credit courses, which is exactly 28 credits. A learner who does not take MGPE-017 must therefore register in all seven, and the word optional describes the pool rather than a choice. The only real fork is whether MGPE-017 Project Work is taken, and taking it replaces two four-credit courses, so it drops the optional count from seven papers to five.
MGPE-017 also changes what you order here. Project work is assessed as a dissertation, not through a tutor marked assignment, and the modular booklet runs from MGP-001 to MGPE-016 with no MGPE-017 paper in it. That is the reason this page counts sixteen orderable codes rather than seventeen. If you are working on the dissertation instead, that is a synopsis and report route rather than an assignment writing job, and the IGNOU project course codes reference places MGPE-017 alongside the other programme project codes.
Two shorter programmes sit inside the same code list, which is why one booklet serves three qualifications and why a PGDGPS learner and a first-year MGPS learner write an identical eight papers.
| Programme | Course codes | Credits |
|---|---|---|
| MGPS — MA in Gandhi and Peace Studies | MGP-001 to MGP-005, MGPE-006 to MGPE-017 | 64 |
| PGDGPS — PG Diploma in Gandhi and Peace Studies | MGP-001, MGP-002, MGP-003, MGP-004, MGPE-006, MGPE-007, MGPE-009, MGPE-014 | 32 |
| PGCGPS — PG Certificate in Gandhi and Peace Studies | MGP-001, MGP-005, MGPE-007, MGPE-008 | 16 |
One booklet covers all three. Scroll sideways for the full code column.
Outdated and conflicting MGPS code information, including on this website
Our own MGPS project page is wrong and is being corrected. The page at ignouproject.com/ignou-mgps-project-mgpe-17 describes MGPE-017 as Human Security and calls the project a mandatory component. Neither is right. The Common Prospectus lists MGPE-017 as Project Work and MGPE-011 as Human Security, and it states that project work is optional and may be taken in lieu of two four-credit courses. That page is queued for correction. Read the table above, not that page, for the code and its status.
IGNOU’s own booklet prints the wrong prefix on one paper. In the 2024-25 MAGPS booklet, the Women and Peace paper prints Course Code MGPE-012 and then Assignment Code MGP-012/ASST/TMA/2024-25. The E is missing from the assignment code. MGP-012 is not a course code in this programme, since the MGP prefix stops at MGP-005. Write MGPE-012 on your cover page and treat the booklet line as the typographical slip it is.
Two course titles contradict themselves inside one prospectus. MGPE-008 is titled Gandhi Approach to Peace and Conflict Resolutions in the MGPS table and Gandhian Approach to Peace and Conflict Resolution in the PGCGPS table. MGPE-007 is Non-violent Movements after Gandhi in one table and Non-violence Movements after Gandhi in another. The assignment booklet uses Gandhian Approach to Peace and Conflict Resolution and Non-violent Movements after Gandhi, and the tables above follow the booklet.
Code padding is printed three different ways. The prospectus prints MGP 1 and MGPE 6. The assignment booklet prints MGP-001 and MGPE-006. Several commercial sites print MGP-1 and MGPE-6. All three refer to the same paper. Send whichever form your admission record shows.
MGPE codes are shared with MA Political Science. MGPE-008 and MGPE-011 appear on MPS elective lists as well as on the MGPS list, so a previous year question paper index may file the same code under two programmes. That is normal and does not mean your registration is wrong.
Never take a code list from a coaching site, this one included, over your own admission record. Programme structures, course codes, submission dates and rules change, and only ignou.ac.in and your Regional Centre can confirm the current position for your enrolment. The IGNOU prospectus archive holds the source document these tables were read from.
From TMA Question To Couriered Bundle: The Five Stages
Every MGPS handwritten assignment order runs through the same five stages, and each one exists to stop a specific failure that costs an MGPS learner marks.
The exact booklet is pulled first, not the newest oneThe MGP Gandhi and Peace Studies booklet is republished by session, and the questions change between them. The 2025-2026 MGPE-007 paper asks about post-Gandhian organisational patterns and NRI marriages; the 2024-25 paper for the same code asks about Greenpeace in Europe and the Prohibition Movement. Your session decides which paper is answered, so the session you name is the session used.
The five answers are chosen across both sectionsAn MGPS paper prints ten numbered questions in two sections and asks for five answers, with at least two from each section. Section I holds five essay questions. Section II holds five short-note questions, each in two lettered parts. The five are selected so the section rule is satisfied before any writing starts.
Answers are built from the MGPS blocks, not from a summaryGandhi and Peace Studies questions are answered out of the programme’s own units. A question on trusteeship, on Galtung’s typology of violence or on the Bhoodan Movement is written from the study material for that course rather than from a general encyclopaedia entry, because the evaluator is marking against the block. Free copies of those blocks sit on eGyanKosh, and the alternate Gyankosh route works when the main portal is slow.
The handwritten pages are produced and word limits are heldThe answers are written by hand on A4 sheets in blue or black ink, one side of each sheet, a clear left margin kept for the evaluator, the question number copied from the booklet and each handwritten answer started on a fresh face. The MGPS paper prints about 500 words for a Section I answer and about 250 words for each part of a Section II note. Those printed limits set the length.
Cover page attached, handwritten bundle checked, courier bookedEach course code is tied separately with its own front page on top, never mixed with another code. The cover page arrives blank so you fill and sign it. The handwritten bundle is then couriered to the address you give, with courier included in the ₹320 per subject.
Matched To Your Own Hand, Not A Stranger’s
Send a photo of a page you have written yourself and the handwritten set is matched to your handwriting at no extra charge. One clear photograph of half a page of your own handwriting is enough. Slant, letter size, how you form a capital G, whether you loop a descender: those are the features carried onto every handwritten page.
This matters more on MGPS than on a shorter programme. A learner submitting eight first-year papers is handing the same study centre eight thick handwritten bundles in one visit, and eight handwritten bundles in a hand that is visibly not the learner’s own handwriting on earlier submissions is conspicuous. Matching to your own handwriting removes that. It is also the reason the front page is left blank: your enrolment number, name, study centre code and signature go on in your own writing, and you are the one who signs the declaration underneath them.
Doing the MGPS handwritten assignment writing yourself? Everything you need is free on this site.
Nothing here is gated. Take the assignment front page format PDF or the cover page filling walkthrough, look at worked sample assignments to see the expected depth, follow the assignment format and structure rules for margins and numbering, and use the online and offline submission walkthrough when the bundles are ready. If Hindi is your medium, the Hindi assignment guidance covers the Devanagari script points, and IGNOU publishes the MGPS booklet in Hindi as well as English.
Two Calculators Built For The MGPS Code List
Both tools run entirely in your browser, store nothing and are useful whether or not you ever place an order. The first prices a handwritten assignment code list against the MGPS cut-off. The second reads a single MGP or MGPE code and tells you where it sits in the MGPS syllabus.
Free tool 1
Optional-Credit And Cut-Off Planner
Enter how many MGPS papers you still have to produce. The planner totals the cost at ₹320 each, works out the next MGPS cut-off from today’s date, and estimates the longhand hours involved at MGPS question lengths.
Choosing a preset fills the paper count for you. Choose the last option to type your own number.
Any whole number from 1 to 16. MGPE-017 is excluded because project work carries no tutor marked assignment.

Pulling The Right MGPS Question Paper Off The Portal
The MGPS assignment question paper is free from IGNOU and should always be downloaded yourself, whoever produces the handwritten pages. Old question papers are a separate thing from the assignment paper, and both are worth having. The official assignment portal is at ignou.ac.in student services, assignments, and the master-degree index lists this programme under MAGPS rather than MGPS.
Open the assignments download page on ignou.ac.inGo through Student Support and then Downloads on the university site rather than typing a PDF address. Direct file paths for this programme have changed between sessions and a guessed path returns nothing.
Look for MAGPS, not MGPSOn the master’s degree index the Gandhi and Peace Studies entry is labelled MAGPS. The programme index there lists sessions from July 2021 onwards, in English and in Hindi. If you search that index for MGPS you will not find your programme.
Check which sessions IGNOU has actually publishedAs at August 2026 the MAGPS programme index page still ends at the July 2024 and January 2025 booklet, while the current 2025-2026 papers are reachable one course at a time through the School of Social Sciences course-file route. If the index looks a year behind, that is the index, not your browser.
Read the session line on the cover before you answer anythingOpen the PDF and read the first page. It names the session span, the two submission dates and the assignment code. If the span on the cover is not yours, the questions inside are not yours either, and a correctly written answer to last year’s question earns nothing.
Once you have the paper, the solved assignment reference library shows how answers of this depth are normally structured before you start the handwritten pages, and the solved question papers archive is useful for seeing which Gandhi and Peace Studies themes recur.
Tracking An MGPS Assignment After It Reaches The Study Centre
MGPS assignments go to the Coordinator of the study centre allotted to you, and the booklet is explicit about two habits that protect you afterwards: obtain a receipt for what you submit and keep it, and keep a copy of the handwritten pages for yourself. The booklet also says the study centre returns the evaluated assignments to you and tells you to insist on that.
After submission the marks travel from the study centre to the Student Evaluation Division at IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, and then onto your grade card. Two different screens matter here. The submission status screen only tells you whether the university has recorded receipt; the grade card carries the actual assignment mark. Watch the first through the assignment marks status checker and the second through the assignment grade card page, with grade card status updates when a code refuses to appear.
A missing MGPE entry is a common complaint on Gandhi and Peace Studies threads, usually where a code is shared with MA Political Science and has been posted under the other programme. Give it the normal updating window, then raise it with your Regional Centre with the receipt in hand. Your enrolment number lookup is what every one of those screens asks for first. When both halves are posted you can convert them with the IGNOU percentage calculator or the CGPA calculator, and if a term-end mark looks wrong the revaluation process applies to the examination half rather than to the assignment half. Broader result timing sits on the IGNOU result page and the June 2026 result tracker.
What MGPS Learners Usually Order In The Same Message
Handwritten assignments are one line of a longer message. These are the other things Gandhi and Peace Studies learners ask for, and every one of them is a separate page you can read before deciding.
For the term-end paper itself, the guess paper collection and the previous year paper archive matter more than any assignment does, because 70 per cent of the course result sits there. For reading, the unit-wise study notes, the help book range and the online guide books compress the MGPS syllabus blocks into revision form, while free official book downloads and the study material index get you the originals at no cost.
Second-year MGPS learners who take MGPE-017 move into a different service entirely. The synopsis and proposal service and the project and dissertation service cover that route, priced on the services and charges page rather than at the ₹320 assignment rate. Learners who also carry MA Political Science papers often look at the MPS project guide, since MGPE-008 and MGPE-011 sit on both programme lists, and the School of Social Sciences programme overview gives the wider school context for MGPS. The assignment hub and the submission service page close the loop once the bundles are written.
Medium and session, stated plainly for MGPS.
IGNOU publishes MGPS in English and in Hindi, and the assignment portal carries both booklets for every recent session. The service covers all mediums IGNOU issues the TMA paper in, at the same price, so a Hindi medium MGPS learner pays the same ₹320 per subject for a handwritten assignment as an English medium one, and every medium is quoted at that one rate. On session, any session is accepted, current cycle or older, including backlog courses, at the same ₹320 per subject. That includes a 2022-23 MGP-003 paper carried forward, and it includes the case where you are registered in the current cycle for some codes and clearing an older cycle for others. Name the span printed on each booklet cover and each paper is answered against its own questions.

MGPS Handwritten Assignment Questions Learners Ask
It is a handwritten answer set for the tutor marked assignment questions IGNOU issues for the Master of Arts in Gandhi and Peace Studies, prepared course code by course code and delivered ready to submit. One MGP assignment or MGPE assignment is one handwritten set. The rate is a handwritten assignment at ₹320 per subject, hard copy only, with courier included in that price and no separate shipping charge. One MGPS course code counts as one subject, so eight first-year papers are eight handwritten assignments.
They are the same programme. MGPS is the programme code printed in the Common Prospectus. MAGPS is the code IGNOU’s own assignment portal and assignment booklet use, and the master-degree index files the Gandhi and Peace Studies booklet under MAGPS. MAGPSOL is the online-mode variant and eGyanKosh catalogues the study material as MA(GPS). All four resolve to the same MGP and MGPE course list, so send whichever your paperwork shows.
Sixteen across the whole programme, if you do not take the project. That is sixteen separate handwritten sets across two years. Year one is eight compulsory papers: MGP-001 to MGP-004 plus MGPE-006, MGPE-007, MGPE-009 and MGPE-014. Year two is MGP-005 plus the seven-paper optional pool, which is MGPE-008, MGPE-010, MGPE-011, MGPE-012, MGPE-013, MGPE-015 and MGPE-016. If you take MGPE-017 project work instead of two optional papers, you write fourteen tutor marked assignments and one dissertation.
The MGPS booklet prints 31 March for the July session and 30 September for the January session. The 2025-2026 booklet states 31 March 2026 for the July 2025 session and 30 September 2026 for the January 2026 session, and the 2024-25 booklet printed the same two positions a year earlier, so an MGP assignment and an MGPE assignment share one deadline pair. Submission is to the Coordinator of the study centre allotted to you. Confirm the current date for your enrolment on ignou.ac.in and with your Regional Centre.
Because they are repeating the School of Management Studies dates, which appear on MBA and M.Com booklets and get copied across programmes. At least one commercial assignment site currently prints 30 April 2026 and 31 October 2026 for MGPS. The Gandhi and Peace Studies booklet itself prints 31 March and 30 September. When a third-party page and the booklet disagree, take the booklet.
No. MGPE-017 is Project Work, an eight-credit dissertation, and the MGP Gandhi and Peace Studies booklet runs from MGP-001 to MGPE-016 with no MGPE-017 paper in it. That is why this page counts sixteen orderable codes rather than seventeen. Note also that the Common Prospectus lists MGPE-017 as optional and taken in lieu of two four-credit courses, so it is not compulsory, and MGPE-011 rather than MGPE-017 is the Human Security paper.
MGPS papers use a four-part code with an extra segment most other schools do not print: course code, then ASST, then TMA, then the two-year span. The 2025-2026 booklet prints MGPE-007/ASST/TMA/2025-26, and the 2024-25 booklet printed MGP-001/ASST/TMA/2024-25. That is not the same shape as the School of Management Studies format, which names the session month instead. Copy the line exactly as your own booklet prints it.
No, it is a slip in IGNOU’s own booklet. The 2024-25 MAGPS booklet gives that course as Course Code MGPE-012 and then prints Assignment Code MGP-012/ASST/TMA/2024-25, dropping the E. The MGP prefix only runs to MGP-005 in this programme, so MGP-012 does not exist. Write MGPE-012 on your cover page.
Yes. IGNOU publishes the Gandhi and Peace Studies booklet in Hindi as well as English, and the assignment portal carries both for recent sessions. The service covers all mediums IGNOU issues the TMA paper in, at the same price, so a Hindi medium MGPS handwritten set is the same ₹320 per subject as an English medium one. Name your medium when you send your codes so the correct booklet is used for the handwritten assignment.
From IGNOU, free, through the student services assignments download page on ignou.ac.in. On the master’s degree index look for MAGPS rather than MGPS. As at August 2026 that programme index still ends at the July 2024 and January 2025 booklet, while the current 2025-2026 papers are reachable one course at a time through the School of Social Sciences course-file route. Always read the session span on the cover page before answering anything.
For most learners the choice is narrower than it looks. The optional pool holds exactly seven four-credit papers and year two requires 28 optional credits, so a learner who does not take MGPE-017 registers in all seven: MGPE-008, MGPE-010, MGPE-011, MGPE-012, MGPE-013, MGPE-015 and MGPE-016. The real decision is whether to take MGPE-017 project work, which replaces two of those seven. Your admission record and Regional Centre confirm what you are actually registered in.
Yes, and at no extra charge. Send a photo of a page you have written yourself and the handwritten set is matched to your handwriting at no extra charge. Half a page of your own handwriting in normal light is enough for slant, letter size and letter formation to be matched onto the handwritten pages. This matters on MGPS because a first-year learner hands in eight handwritten bundles at once.
No soft copy or PDF is sold. What is prepared here is the physical handwritten set, couriered to your address. If your Regional Centre requires an upload, you scan the delivered handwritten hard copy yourself and upload one clean PDF per course code. Free reference material for reading, including sample assignments and study notes, is published openly elsewhere on this site.
Yes. Any session is accepted, current cycle or older, including backlog courses, at the same ₹320 per subject. MGPS booklets change their questions between spans, so an MGPE-013 handwritten assignment for 2023-24 answers different questions from an MGPS assignment 2025-26 for the same code. Send the exact span printed on the cover of your booklet and that paper is the one answered.
Each MGPS course paper carries 100 marks. It prints ten numbered questions in two sections and asks for five answers in all, with at least two taken from each section, and each question carries 20 marks. Section I answers run to about 500 words each. Section II questions are short notes in two lettered parts, each part about 250 words. Those printed limits, and not any house style, set the length of each answer.
Yes, because IGNOU issues one booklet for all three. PGDGPS is the eight first-year MGPS papers, 32 credits: MGP-001 to MGP-004 plus MGPE-006, MGPE-007, MGPE-009 and MGPE-014. PGCGPS is four papers, 16 credits: MGP-001, MGP-005, MGPE-007 and MGPE-008. The rate for a Gandhi and Peace Studies assignment is the same ₹320 per subject whichever of the three you are registered in, and the submission dates on the booklet are the same 31 March and 30 September.
Two different screens. The submission status screen shows only whether the university has recorded receipt of your MGPS bundles. The grade card carries the actual assignment mark, posted after the study centre forwards it to the Student Evaluation Division. Keep the study centre receipt until both appear. A missing MGPE entry sometimes reflects a code shared with MA Political Science being posted under the other programme, which your Regional Centre can resolve.
No. No claim is made about the marks any assignment will receive, about how an evaluator will assess it, or about whether it will be accepted. Assignment evaluation is entirely a matter for IGNOU. What is offered is a legible, complete handwritten MGPS set answering the questions printed in your own session’s booklet within its own word limits. That is the whole of what the ₹320 buys.
Delivery depends on your pin code and is confirmed for your order before you pay. No figure is promised on this page. Send your pin code with your MGP and MGPE codes and you will get the estimate for the handwritten assignment before anything is charged, so you can judge it against the 31 March or 30 September cut-off yourself.
