Quick answer. An IGNOU BAFSO handwritten assignment is the Tutor Marked Assignment for one course of the Bachelor of Arts (Sociology) Major, answered in ink on A4 sheets and handed to the Study Centre as a hard copy; the BAFSO Major, run by the School of Social Sciences under IGNOU’s four-year undergraduate framework, holds ten 6-credit papers (BSOC-101, 102, 103, 104, 109, 111, 112, 113 and 114, plus BSOE-144) inside a 120-credit degree, and ignouproject.com writes each one by hand at ₹320 per subject with courier included, in English or Hindi as IGNOU issues the paper, for the current session or an older backlog one, matched free of charge to a photo of your handwriting; each paper carries 100 marks that decide 30 per cent of the course result, the English 2025-26 booklets set 31 October 2026 for January 2026 learners and the 2026-27 booklets set 30 April 2027 for July 2026 learners, and codes go to WhatsApp +91 93546 37830.
The BAFSO Calendar: 31 October 2026, 30 April 2027, and a Hindi File on Another Clock
January 2026 learners have until 31 October 2026; July 2026 learners have until 30 April 2027.
Admitted January 2026
31 October 2026
Printed on the 2025-26 English BSOC-102 booklet labelled BAFSO and on the BSOE-144 booklet for the same sessions. Feeds the December 2026 term-end examination.
Admitted July 2026
30 April 2027
Printed on the 2026-27 English BSOC-104 booklet labelled BASOH/ BAFSO, which gives January 2027 learners 31 October 2027.
31 October 2026 is the last date IGNOU prints for a BAFSO learner admitted in the January 2026 session, on the English BSOC-102 and BSOE-144 booklets for July 2025 and January 2026. The same two booklets gave July 2025 learners until 30 April 2026. Both send the finished work to the coordinator of the learner’s own Study Centre, and both come from the Discipline of Sociology at the School of Social Sciences. A January 2026 learner therefore plans every pending BSOC paper against 31 October 2026, and confirms on ignou.ac.in that no later notice has moved it.
30 April 2027 is the last date printed for July 2026 BAFSO learners on the English BSOC-104 booklet for July 2026 and January 2027. That booklet is the first in this research to name BASOH and BAFSO together on one cover, and it sets 31 October 2027 for the January 2027 batch on the same line. Per the booklet, submission within the stipulated time is also what makes a learner eligible for the term-end examination in that course.
The Hindi BSOC-102 booklet read for this page prints 31 March 2026 for July 2025 learners, a month earlier than the 30 April 2026 on the English BSOC-102 booklet for the same batch. It covers the January 2025 and July 2025 sessions rather than July 2025 and January 2026, gives January 2025 learners 30 September 2025, and sits in IGNOU’s School of Humanities folder on ignou.ac.in under a School of Humanities cover. No Hindi BSOC file for 2026-27 was located. A Hindi-medium BAFSO learner should therefore treat the earlier date as the safe one and ask the Study Centre in writing which booklet it will accept.
Only the date on your own booklet counts. A classmate’s file can be correct and still not be yours.
Dates shift by session and by Regional Centre. IGNOU extended the December 2026 examination form to 7 October 2026, per a Careers360 report of 30 September 2026, but no assignment-date extension for this cycle was found while this page was prepared. The site keeps a running list of IGNOU assignment dates as notices appear.
What an Unsubmitted BSOC Paper Takes Away From a BAFSO Learner
Assignments carry 30 per cent of the final course result and the term-end examination carries the remaining 70 per cent.
That is the smaller loss. Every BSOC booklet read for this page tells learners to submit all assignments within the stipulated time to be eligible to appear in the term-end examination, so a missing paper also blocks the exam seat for that course.
Each BSOC booklet is one 100-mark paper in three sections: Section I wants two essays worth 20 marks apiece in roughly 500 words, Section II three 10-mark answers of roughly 250 words, and Section III five 6-mark notes of roughly 100 words. The 2025-26 BSOC-102 and 2026-27 BSOC-104 booklets print exactly that split, which adds to 100. MCQ on these papers is not multiple choice. It is short analytical prose, and the five SCQs are brief notes on topics such as Macaulay’s Minute on Education or the concept of subaltern.
The booklets also describe their own parts twice. The opening letter speaks of Assignment A, B and C; the question page heads them Section I, II and III. Same paper, two vocabularies.
Written to the printed bands, one BSOC paper runs to roughly 2,250 words. Ten of them over three years is the Major alone, before Environmental Studies, the minors and the skill courses, each with its own booklet.
Model-Answer File or Ink on A4: What a BAFSO Study Centre Will Log
The Study Centre logs ink on paper. A downloaded file is reading material and nothing more.
A solved assignment is a soft-copy reference file of model answers for one IGNOU course code and one session, for example BSOC-104 for the July 2026 and January 2027 sessions. A BAFSO learner opens one to see how a 20-mark answer on Sanskritization and Westernization might be organised. It carries no enrolment number, no signature and no line in the learner’s own writing, and section 14.7 of the July 2026 Common Prospectus allows typed assignments only for students with a valid disability certificate. A printout of a solved file is therefore not a BAFSO submission.
A handwritten assignment is the same BSOC questions answered by hand on A4 sheets, one course code per bundle, with the cover completed and signed, and handed to the coordinator of the allotted Study Centre against a receipt. The 2026-27 BSOC-104 booklet asks for answers in the learner’s own words, within the approximate word limit, written neatly in a final version with key points underlined. That bundle is what the Study Centre forwards for marks and later returns.
| Point | Solved assignment | Handwritten assignment |
|---|---|---|
| Format | Soft-copy file for one BSOC code and session | Ink on A4, one BSOC code per bundle |
| What the learner does | Reads it before writing | Reviews it, signs the cover, submits it |
| Taken by the Study Centre | No; typed work is outside the rule | Yes, against a receipt |
| Who it suits | A learner who will write every answer personally | A learner short of writing hours before the cut-off |
| Price on this site | Listed with the reference files | ₹320 per subject, courier included |
On a narrow screen the table scrolls sideways.
Learners who only need the reading copy will find sociology reference files listed with the IGNOU solved assignments. The rest of this page is about the bundle that gets handed in.
Twelve Points a BAFSO Set Clears Before It Leaves
Your list, not BASOH’s. A BSOC-105, 106, 107, 108 or 110 on an order is queried, because those five are BA (Honours) Sociology cores outside the BAFSO table.
BSOC-101 is not BSOC-131. The BAM Sociology papers run BSOC-131 to 134 under nearly the same titles. Answers follow the number on your record.
BSOE-144 counts as Major. Reading Ethnographies carries an elective prefix yet sits in the BAFSO Major table, so it is written as one of your ten.
Medium decides the file. An English set is written from the SOSS English booklet; a Hindi set from the Hindi one, with its own session line and date.
Assignment code as printed. ASST/BSOC 104/ 2026-27 and BSOC-104/ASST/TMA/2025-26 are both real. The cover takes the string on your booklet.
Middle Category in paragraphs. The three 10-mark answers are argued in about 250 words each. Nothing is ticked.
Essays with a frame. The two 20-mark answers open with an introduction and close with a conclusion, as the booklet’s instructions ask.
Thinkers and terms spelt right. Durkheim, Weber, M.N. Srinivas, A.R. Desai and Ranajit Guha are named in full; Sanskritization keeps IGNOU’s spelling.
Section labels kept. The question page says Section I to III, so the set says it too, whatever the opening letter calls them.
Minor and IDC checked. BSOM-161 to 163 or BSOG-171 on a BAFSO record is raised with you, since both must come from outside Sociology.
Declaration left blank. Every cover field arrives filled except the signature, which you add after reading the answers.
Five papers, ₹1,600. Plain multiplication. Courier is already inside each ₹320, whatever the pin code.

Price My BAFSO PapersNine BSOC Codes and One BSOE: The BAFSO Major IGNOU Printed Under Journalism
A BAFSO learner writes assignments for ten Major courses of 6 credits each, 60 credits in all, inside the 120-credit Major degree that section 5 of the July 2026 Common Prospectus sets out; a fourth year raises it to a 160-credit Honours degree. The other 60 credits come from six minor and vocational courses (24), two ability enhancement courses (8), four skill enhancement courses (16), one interdisciplinary course (6) and one value-added course (6). Those figures sum to 120, the total the prospectus states, and the ten codes below add to 60. The table was trusted only after both sums held.
| Code | Official title | Credits | Also in BASOH | English 2026-27 file seen |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| BSOC-101 | Introduction to Sociology I | 6 | Yes, Semester I core | Not located |
| BSOC-102 | Sociology of India – I | 6 | Yes, Semester I core | Yes, BASOH/ BAFSO cover |
| BSOC-103 | Introduction to Sociology – II | 6 | Yes, Semester II core | Not located |
| BSOC-104 | Sociology of India – II | 6 | Yes, Semester II core | Yes, read in full |
| BSOC-111 | Sociological Thinkers – I | 6 | Yes, Semester V core | Not located (2025-26 seen) |
| BSOC-113 | Sociological Thinkers – II | 6 | Yes, Semester VI core | Yes, BASOH/ BAFSO cover |
| BSOE-144 | Reading Ethnographies | 6 | Yes, Semester VI elective | Not located (2025-26 seen) |
| BSOC-109 | Sociology of Kinship | 6 | Yes, Semester IV core | Not located |
| BSOC-112 | Sociological Research Methods – I | 6 | Yes, Semester V core | Not located |
| BSOC-114 | Sociological Research Methods – II | 6 | Yes, Semester VI core | Yes, BASOH/ BAFSO cover |
| Total | Ten Major courses | 60 | All ten shared | Four of ten located |
Rows follow the order the prospectus prints them in. The prospectus writes BSOC 101; booklets write BSOC-101. They are the same course.
The BAFSO course table in the July 2026 Common Prospectus is printed under the wrong heading: section 5.10, Bachelor of Arts (Sociology), carries a “Major Courses” line and then nothing, and the ten sociology codes appear on page 171 inside section 5.11 for Journalism and Digital Media (BAFJDM). They sit just after BAFJDM’s “Medium of Instruction: English” line and before BAFJDM’s own BNM course list. A reader skimming section 5.11 can mistake the sociology table for a journalism one, or read English as the BAFSO medium. The programme list in the same prospectus gives BAFSO as English and Hindi.
The prospectus attaches no semester to any BAFSO code. Its template has one Major paper in each of the first two semesters and two in each of semesters three to six, and the BASOH table later in the same document places these codes in semesters I to VI. BASOH is a different programme with a different credit load. Your Samarth record decides which BSOC papers are due this year; IGNOU’s summary table lists the BAFSO examination as year wise.
Several sociology-prefixed codes are not BAFSO Major papers at all, and the titles make them easy to confuse.
| Codes | What they are | On a BAFSO record? |
|---|---|---|
| BSOC-105, 106, 107, 108, 110 | BASOH cores: Political Sociology, Sociology of Religion, Sociology of Gender, Economic Sociology, Social Stratification | No |
| BSOE-141, 142, 143 | BASOH electives: Urban Sociology, Indian Sociological Traditions, Environmental Sociology | No |
| BSOC-131 to 134 | BAM Sociology: Introduction To Sociology, Sociology of India, Sociological Theories, Methods of Sociological Enquiry | No |
| BSOM-161, 162, 163 | Sociology minors for other Majors | No; minors must come from another discipline |
| BSOG-171 | Sociology’s interdisciplinary course | No; the IDC must be outside the Major |
| BSOS-184, 185 | Skill courses: Techniques of Ethnographic Film Making; Society through the Visual | Yes, as a skill enhancement choice |
Slide the table to read the last column.
IGNOU’s BSOC booklets printed the assignment code in at least five different forms between January 2024 and the 2026-27 cycle, so a BAFSO learner copies the string from the booklet in hand rather than from a friend’s. The January 2024 BAFSO files print ASST/TMA / Jan.-2024. For 2025-26, three BAFSO-labelled booklets disagree with each other: BSOC-102 prints ASST/TMA / 2025-2026, BSOC-104 prints BSOC-104/ASST/TMA/2025-26, and BSOC-111 prints ASST/BSOC 111/ 2025-26. The 2026-27 BSOC-102, 104, 113 and 114 booklets settle on one form, ASST/BSOC 104/ 2026-27 with the course number changed. BSOG-171 spells out both sessions on its code line instead.
Nine Places the BAFSO Documents Disagree, This Website Among Them
- A table under the wrong programme. Section 5.10 of the July 2026 prospectus is empty; the BAFSO codes are printed inside section 5.11 for BAFJDM, beneath that programme’s English-only medium line.
- An elective prefix in a Major list. BSOE-144 is a Semester VI elective in BASOH and one of the ten compulsory BAFSO papers.
- Three cover labels. The 2025-26 BSOC files say BAFSO; the 2026-27 files say BASOH/ BAFSO; the Hindi BSOC-102 file says BASOH alone.
- Two dates for one batch. For July 2025 learners, the English BSOC-102 booklet prints 30 April 2026 and the Hindi BSOC-102 booklet prints 31 March 2026.
- A Hindi file filed under another school. The Hindi BSOC-102 booklet sits in IGNOU’s School of Humanities folder and carries a School of Humanities cover, though Sociology belongs to the School of Social Sciences.
- A year printed twice. The same Hindi booklet says 2025-26 on its cover and code line, and TMA/2024-25 on its question page.
- A title that changes inside one file. The BSOG-171 booklet’s cover reads Indian Society: Myths and Realities; its own letter and the prospectus say Images and Realities. The cover is also labelled BAFSO, a programme whose learners cannot take BSOG-171.
- An empty index column. The Sociology (BAFSO)/(BAM) column on IGNOU’s four-year assignment index for July 2025 to July 2026 lists no file, so the course-code search is the only reliable route.
- On this website, pending correction. The BAFPS page describes the 30 April and 31 October pair as contradicted for the School of Social Sciences; on the English BSOC booklets that pair is exactly what IGNOU prints, as the BAFPA page also found, and the pages are being reconciled. The home page’s acceptance assurance with a refund and the dispatch promise on the MMPC-001 page are queued for correction too; this page makes neither promise.
Where these documents clash, the booklet printed for your own code and medium, and a written reply from your Study Centre, outrank this page.
How a Sociology Set Is Prepared, Stage by Stage
Five stages, and only the first and last need you.
- Your codes are read against the ten. Each code is checked against the BAFSO Major table and the common pool. A BASOH-only core, a BSOC-131 or a Sociology minor comes back to you as a question before any payment.
- Medium and session choose the booklet. A January 2026 English-medium learner’s BSOC-102 is written from the 2025-26 BAFSO file dated 31 October 2026. A Hindi-medium learner’s paper comes from the Hindi file, and the date difference is pointed out in the first reply.
- Sheets are budgeted by marks. The two 20-mark essays take the most pages. The five 6-mark notes stay short, so the paper reads in proportion to its 100 marks.
- The fair copy goes down in your matched hand. Blue or black ink on ruled A4, section labels copied from the question page, and the cover page fields IGNOU expects filled in except the signature. The enrolment number as IGNOU formats it goes on top.
- The bundle is couriered, then finished by you. You read the answers, sign, and follow the steps for handing the set in at the Study Centre. Keep the receipt.
A Photo of Your Writing, and Why Sociology Answers Need One
Send a photo of a page you have written yourself and the handwritten set is matched to your handwriting at no extra charge.
Sociology answers are full of proper names. Durkheim, Weber, Marx, Srinivas, Ghurye: a page that shows how you form capitals and initials gives the writer far more to match than plain lowercase prose. Hindi-medium learners should send a page in Devanagari, since matras and the shirorekha line differ from person to person far more than English letters do.
A single page in your usual pen, shot square-on in good light, is all that is needed.
Is it worth the trouble? Over three years one Study Centre sees every bundle under your enrolment number. A single, consistent script across them is what a coordinator expects.
Writing the BSOC papers yourself? With the hours available, that is the better choice, and the free material here covers it: a free method for writing a handwritten assignment yourself, a printable front page PDF, a finished assignment to compare layout against, the margins, headings and structure an evaluator looks for, and the rules for online and offline submission.
Two BAFSO Calculators You Can Use Without Ordering
The first counts rupees and days to your cut-off. The second sorts any sociology code into Major, minor, BASOH or BAM, and says what its booklet should print. Both run inside this page and send nothing anywhere.

Pass My Tool Result AcrossDownloading a BSOC Booklet in English or Hindi from ignou.ac.in
Search by course code, not by the word BAFSO. The programme index has nothing under Sociology for the current cycle.
- Open IGNOU’s search. Go to the official assignment download page on ignou.ac.in and type a code such as BSOC-104.
- Pick the file by medium and year. English sociology files end in E and carry the session in the name, as in BSOC-104-26-27-BASOH-BAFSO-E. The Hindi BSOC-102 file read for this page was under a different school’s folder, so check the medium and the session line on the cover rather than the folder.
- Accept any of the three labels. BAFSO, BASOH/ BAFSO or BASOH on the cover is fine if the session line matches your record.
- Read the submission table before the questions. The last date and the place of submission sit on page three. Compare the code with the ten in the table above; a BSOC-105 or a BSOC-131 means the wrong file.
A booklet still missing near the cut-off goes to IGNOU through the iGRAM complaint route, with a screenshot of the empty search. The study blocks are free: free BSOC study blocks to download, eGyanKosh for the BSOC blocks, and the Gyankosh mirror when the first is slow.
Tracking a Submitted BSOC Paper Until the Grade Card Shows It
Receipt first, online status second, marks last. The BSOC booklets tell learners to insist on a receipt from the Study Centre, keep a photocopy of the assignment, and expect the evaluated work back after the Study Centre has sent the marks to the Student Evaluation Division in New Delhi.
A few weeks of blank status is normal. A whole cycle of it is when the receipt earns its keep.
The BSOC submission status lookup on the assignment result page shows whether a code was received, and what a marks entry means is explained separately. The 30 per cent lands in the assignment grade column. Bachelor’s learners use the bachelor’s grade card lookup, read with a note on how a BDP grade card is laid out, and the programme-wide grade card status fills in until the final grade card at the end of the Major lists all ten codes. For conversions there is a percentage converter and a CGPA calculator for the Major.
Revision Material and Other Work BAFSO Learners Bundle With an Order
The 70 per cent paper still has to be sat. The December 2026 date sheet gives each BSOC examination its day, and practice comes from December 2026 guess papers, solved term-end papers and last year’s BSOC papers. For revision: short revision notes, help books by course code and printed guide books.
The fourth year’s 12-credit project or dissertation is separate work, covered under fourth-year dissertation support, with synopsis and proposal formats and project and synopsis charges on their own pages.
Related programmes have their own pages: the BAM page for BSOC-131 learners, the older BA General programme, the sister four-year Majors on the BAFPA handwritten page and the BAFPS handwritten page, and, for a BAFSO graduate going on to a master’s, the MA Sociology handwritten page.
Medium, session and the names around BAFSO
BAFSO is taught in English and Hindi, according to the programme list in the July 2026 Common Prospectus. IGNOU issues sociology booklets in both, but the two need not match: the one Hindi BSOC-102 file read here served different sessions, printed different dates and named a different school from its English counterpart. A Hindi-medium BAFSO learner answers in Hindi from the Hindi paper and confirms its session line on ignou.ac.in before writing.
The service covers all mediums IGNOU issues the TMA paper in, at the same price. For Devanagari layout, see the Hindi-medium presentation guide.
Older sessions are handled as well. A learner returning after a gap usually completes re-registration for the next year first, or the readmission after a lapse where the enrolment has run out, and then answers the booklet that serves the session on the new slip.
On names: BAFSO is the programme code of the four-year BA (Sociology) Major; BSOC is the course prefix on nine of its ten papers; BASOH is the older 148-credit BA (Honours) Sociology that shares the BSOC-101 to 114 numbers.
How to Order BAFSO Papers: One Message, Four Facts
- One message to +91 93546 37830. Put the four facts below in it, plus a photo of your writing.
- One reply with the total. The reply multiplies ₹320 by your codes and says whether courier reaches your pin code. There is no minimum order: one subject or fourteen, same rate.
- Payment, then the bundle. The set is couriered to the address you give. Reading, signing and submitting are yours.
The four facts:
- Every code as Samarth prints it, Major and common-pool alike.
- The admission cycle on your slip, January or July, with the year.
- English or Hindi, as your booklet is printed.
- A delivery address with the pin code.
No soft copy or PDF is sold. If your Regional Centre asks for an upload, you scan the delivered hard copy yourself. Delivery depends on your pin code and is confirmed for your order before you pay. No figure is promised on this page.
Sources Behind This BAFSO Page, and the Gaps They Leave
From the July 2026 Common Prospectus: the ten BAFSO codes, titles and credits, found printed inside section 5.11 rather than 5.10; the four-year template and the 60, 120 and 160 credit figures in section 5; the minor, interdisciplinary and skill lists with the rule keeping minors and the IDC outside the Major; the BASOH structure in section 7.5 with its 148 credits; the BAM sociology codes BSOC-131 to 134; the programme-list row giving English and Hindi and a year-wise examination; and the typed-assignment provision in section 14.7. A plain reader’s guide to the Common Prospectus is on this site.
From IGNOU’s own files, read on 4 October 2026: the English BSOC-102 booklet for July 2025 and January 2026, the English BSOC-104 booklet for July 2026 and January 2027, and the Hindi BSOC-102 booklet for January 2025 and July 2025, all read in full; the covers and code lines of the 2026-27 BSOC-102, 113 and 114 booklets, the 2025-26 BSOC-104, BSOC-111, BSOE-144, BSOG-171 and BSOM-162 booklets and the January 2024 BSOC-101 to 103 files, seen in search results; and IGNOU’s four-year assignment index on webservices.ignou.ac.in. Dates, marks, word bands, cover labels and code strings come from these.
Commercial terms set by ignouproject.com itself: a flat ₹320 for each subject with postage absorbed, paper copies only, any medium or session, script matching without a fee, orders of any size, and delivery estimated per pin code rather than promised. IGNOU has no part in setting them.
What this research could not settle. English 2026-27 booklets for BSOC-101, 103, 109, 111, 112 and BSOE-144 were not located, which does not mean IGNOU has not published them. No Hindi BSOC file for 2025-26 or 2026-27 was found, so the Hindi date for January 2026 learners is unconfirmed. None of the booklets read prints a cover-page field layout, the BAFSO Programme Guide was not opened, and no document gives a semester for each BAFSO code. Fourth-year course details are, in the prospectus’s own words, to be provided subsequently.

BAFSO Questions Ranked by How Often Learners Ask Them
What is the last date to submit IGNOU BAFSO assignments for December 2026?
31 October 2026, for learners admitted in January 2026, on the English 2025-26 BSOC-102 and BSOE-144 booklets. July 2026 learners have until 30 April 2027. The one Hindi BSOC file read printed an earlier March and September pair, so Hindi-medium learners should confirm their own booklet and ask the Study Centre.
Can an IGNOU BAFSO assignment be typed or printed?
No, not for most learners. Section 14.7 of the July 2026 Common Prospectus allows typed assignments only for students with a valid disability certificate, and the BSOC booklets ask for answers written neatly in a final version in the learner’s own words.
Which course codes does a BAFSO learner write assignments for?
Ten Major papers: BSOC-101, 102, 103, 104, 109, 111, 112, 113 and 114, and BSOE-144. Add the common-pool courses on your record, such as BEVAE-181, the minors and the skill courses, each with its own booklet. The Samarth record says which fall due this year.
Is a BAFSO solved assignment the same thing as a handwritten assignment?
No. A solved assignment is a reference file of model answers that a learner reads; a handwritten assignment is the BSOC paper answered in ink, signed and handed in at the Study Centre. Only the second is collected for marks.
Can a printout of a BSOC solved PDF be handed in at the Study Centre?
No. A printout is typed work with no signature or handwriting of yours on it, and IGNOU accepts typed assignments only under the disability provision. Use the file to plan, then write the answers by hand.
My BSOC booklet says BASOH on the cover. Can a BAFSO learner still answer it?
Yes, if the code is one of the ten BAFSO Major codes and the session line matches your record. BASOH and BAFSO share BSOC-101 to 114, and the 2026-27 covers name both programmes. A BSOC-105 to 108 or BSOC-110 file is BASOH only.
What does MCQ mean on a BSOC assignment, and how long are the answers?
MCQ means Middle Category Questions, written as prose. A BSOC paper asks two 20-mark questions at about 500 words, three 10-mark questions at about 250 words and five 6-mark notes at about 100 words, 100 marks in all.
Is the BAFSO assignment available in Hindi, and does the Hindi file carry the same date?
Hindi files exist, but the date may differ. The Hindi BSOC-102 booklet read here printed 31 March 2026 for July 2025 learners where the English booklet printed 30 April 2026. Answer the Hindi paper if you are Hindi-medium, and treat the earlier date as binding until your Study Centre says otherwise.
Is BSOC-131 the same paper as BSOC-101?
No. BSOC-131 Introduction To Sociology belongs to BA Multidisciplinary (BAM); BSOC-101 Introduction to Sociology I belongs to the BAFSO Major. The titles are close and the questions are not, so write the code your record prints.
Can BSOG-171 or a BSOM minor count on a BAFSO record?
No. The July 2026 Common Prospectus requires the interdisciplinary course to be outside the Major and the discipline minors to come from another discipline. BSOG-171 and BSOM-161 to 163 are Sociology’s own, even though some of their booklet covers say BAFSO.
How much does an IGNOU BAFSO handwritten assignment cost?
₹320 per subject, with courier included and no separate shipping charge. Four BSOC papers cost ₹1,280 and ten cost ₹3,200, at the same rate for English, Hindi and older sessions.
How long does delivery of a BAFSO set take?
That depends on the pin code, so no figure is given here. The delivery estimate for your address is confirmed before you pay, and it is worth asking early with 31 October 2026 approaching.
Can an older-session or backlog BSOC paper be ordered?
Yes. Any session is taken at ₹320 per subject, provided you name the session on your current slip, because the questions, the code string and the date all change between booklets.
My Regional Centre wants a scanned upload. What happens then?
You scan the delivered hard copy yourself and upload it as your centre instructs. No soft copy or PDF is sold, so the scan always starts from the signed paper set.
How can a BAFSO learner check that a submitted BSOC paper was received?
Through IGNOU’s assignment status service, using the enrolment number, a few weeks after submission. Keep the Study Centre receipt and the photocopy the booklet asks for, in case the entry does not appear.
Will the handwritten BAFSO set look like my own writing?
It is written to match the photo you send, at no extra charge. A page showing capitals, initials and numbers, or Devanagari for a Hindi set, gives the closest match.
What should a learner check before paying anyone for a handwritten assignment?
Check five things with any provider: that the answers come from the booklet for your own code, session and medium; that the price per subject and any postage are stated before payment; that no marks or acceptance are promised; that no delivery date is promised without your pin code; and that the cover declaration is left for you to sign after reading.
