IGNOU BAFHI Handwritten Assignment: Ten BHIC Papers, BAHIH-Labelled Booklets, and a BHIC-110 That Prints Another Code

  • 10 BHIC Major papers
  • Due 31 March or 30 September

Quick answer. A handwritten assignment is the answer set for an IGNOU Tutor Marked Assignment written out by hand and handed in as paper at the Study Centre, and for BAFHI, the Bachelor of Arts (History) Major that the School of Social Sciences has offered under the four-year undergraduate framework since the January 2024 session, the Major is ten 6-credit BHIC papers (BHIC 101, 102, 103, 105, 107, 109, 110, 112, 113, and either BHIC 104 or BHIC 111) inside a 120-credit degree; ignouproject.com prepares that handwritten set one BHIC code at a time at ₹320 per subject with courier included, in the English or Hindi medium IGNOU prints, for the current cycle or a backlog one, matched to a photo of your own handwriting at no extra charge, while the assignment itself carries 30 per cent of each course result and the School of Social Sciences booklets for July 2025 and January 2026 set 31 March 2026 and 30 September 2026 as the two cut-offs, with codes and session sent to WhatsApp +91 93546 37830.

When Are BAFHI Assignments Due in 2026 and 2027?

30 September 2026 is the last date for a BAFHI learner admitted in the January 2026 cycle, and 31 March 2027 for one admitted in July 2026.

January 2026 admission cycle

30 September 2026

Printed on the BHIC-101 and BHIC-107 booklets for July 2025 and January 2026.

July 2026 admission cycle

31 March 2027

Printed on the BHIC-111 booklet for July 2026 and January 2027.

The BHIC-101 and BHIC-107 booklets for July 2025 and January 2026 give a July 2025 BAFHI learner 31 March 2026 and a January 2026 learner 30 September 2026, and both send the finished assignment to the Coordinator of the Study Centre. One year on, the BHIC-111 booklet for July 2026 and January 2027 keeps the pattern with 31 March 2027 and 30 September 2027. The School of Social Sciences ties each date to the admission cycle rather than to an examination month, so the cycle printed on the admission record is the first thing to read. Dates shift by session and by Regional Centre; confirm the current one on ignou.ac.in.

BHIC-110, History of India-VI, is the one BAFHI booklet that prints a different pair of dates for the same session. Its July 2025 and January 2026 booklet gives 30 April 2026 and 31 October 2026, a month later than the BHIC-101 and BHIC-107 booklets issued by the same Faculty of History, and it prints the assignment code BHIC-111/ASST/TMA/2025-26 on a BHIC-110 paper. IGNOU’s own documents do not settle which BHIC-110 date is right. A learner holding BHIC-110 plans to the earlier date and asks the Study Centre which one it will apply.

Extensions arrive separately, and usually late. News reports in April 2026 described an extension to 30 April 2026 for the June 2026 examination, and several assignment listing pages still print 30 April and 31 October against BHIC-101. Neither changes what the booklet in your hand says.

How Much of a BHIC Grade Rides on the Assignment?

Assignments carry 30 per cent of the final course result and the term-end examination carries the remaining 70 per cent. Each BHIC booklet is one 100-mark paper in three sections: two questions of 20 marks at about 500 words, three of 10 marks at about 250 words, and five short notes of 6 marks at about 100 words, as printed on the BHIC-101, BHIC-105, BHIC-107 and BHIC-111 booklets. Those booklets also make submission within the stipulated time a condition for sitting the term-end examination. For a BAFHI learner, a missing BHIC assignment costs the right to take that paper in December or June, not only thirty marks.

Written to the printed word bands, one complete BHIC assignment runs to roughly 2,250 words. Ten Major papers come to about 22,500 words before any minor, skill or ability course is counted.

BHIC-110 is again the exception: its booklet prints no marks against the five short notes in its third section. The 6-mark figure comes from the other booklets, not from BHIC-110 itself.

Solved File or Handwritten Set: Which One Goes to a BAFHI Study Centre?

The handwritten set goes to the Study Centre. A solved assignment file is reading material and is never what a BAFHI learner hands in.

A solved assignment is a soft-copy reference file of model answers prepared for one course code and one session, such as BHIC-107 for July 2025 and January 2026. A learner opens a solved assignment beside the IGNOU block to see how a 20-mark history answer is organised, then writes the real assignment. The file carries no enrolment number, no cover page and no signature, so a Study Centre has nothing in it to accept as the learner’s own submission.

A handwritten assignment is the same BHIC questions answered in ink on A4 sheets, one course code per bundle, with the cover page filled in and signed, and handed over as hard copy at the Study Centre. The BHIC booklets ask learners to write the final version neatly, in their own words, and send it to the Coordinator of the Study Centre. Under the July 2026 Common Prospectus, typed assignments are permitted only to learners holding a valid disability certificate.

Oddly, none of the BHIC booklets read for this page prints the word handwritten. What they print is an instruction to answer “in your own words” and to “write down the final version for submission, writing each answer neatly”. The disability exception, and the different rule for project reports, are set out in the note on whether IGNOU work may be typed.

Twelve things change when the order is a BAFHI set rather than a generic assignment.

Cover label checked, not trusted. A BHIC-112 booklet that names only BAHIH is still answered for a BAFHI learner registered in BHIC-112, because the course code decides the paper.

The questions of your own cycle. BHIC-107 for July 2025 and January 2026 asks about the Khaljis and Vijayanagara; an older cycle asks something else, and the set follows the cycle on your record.

Word bands kept. Twenty-mark answers stay near 500 words, ten-mark answers near 250, short notes near 100.

Misprints handled openly. BHIC-101 asks about the “Iran Age culture of north India”. The set answers the Iron Age question plainly intended and tells you so.

Dates inside every long answer. History of India-III to VIII are period papers, so each long answer is anchored in rulers, regions and years.

One code, one tied bundle. BHIC-103 and BHIC-105 never share staples, so the Study Centre logs each code on its own.

Hindi when the record says Hindi. IGNOU prints BHIC booklets in both mediums and the set follows the one you registered in.

Slant and spacing from your photo. One page of your ordinary writing sets the hand the whole BHIC set is written in.

BHIC-104 or BHIC-111. The tenth Major slot is an either-or; only the code on your record is written.

Non-history papers too. A BAFHI record also carries a minor from another discipline, BEVAE 181 and skill courses such as BHIS 183, and any of them with an assignment can be written.

Declaration left blank. The cover-page signature is yours to add after you have read the set.

No courier line on the bill. Postage sits inside the per-subject figure, whatever your pin code.

Which BHIC Codes Form the BAFHI Major, and Which Booklets Name BAFHI?

Ten BHIC courses of 6 credits each make up the 60-credit BAFHI Major, half of the 120 credits the three-year degree requires under section 5 of the July 2026 Common Prospectus. The other 60 credits come from six minor courses of 4 credits (24), two ability enhancement courses (8), four skill enhancement courses (16), one interdisciplinary course (6) and one value-added course (6); that sum was checked against the prospectus total before the table below was trusted. A learner who continues into a fourth year for the 160-credit Honours degree will find that the prospectus has not yet published the fourth-year courses.

Slide the course table sideways on a phone to reach the cover column.

A BHIC booklet whose cover names only BAHIH, such as BHIC-112, is still the paper a BAFHI learner answers for that code. Section 5.5 of the July 2026 Common Prospectus builds the BAFHI Major from the same BHIC course codes that BA (Honours) History uses, and IGNOU issues one booklet per BHIC code. Of the eleven BHIC covers read for this page, BHIC-101, 102, 103, 105 and 107 name BAFHI, while BHIC-104, 109, 110, 111, 112 and 113 name BAHIH or the Honours programme alone. The course code on the admission record decides which booklet applies, and a learner still uneasy asks the Study Centre to confirm the paper before writing.

BAFHI is the programme code of the four-year-framework BA History Major; BAHIH is the older BA (Honours) History programme that shares its BHIC codes; and BHIC-131 to BHIC-134 belong to the multidisciplinary route covered on the BAM handwritten page for BHIC-131 to BHIC-134 and on the School of Social Sciences BAG programme page, not to BAFHI.

Three BAHIH cores never reach a BAFHI record: BHIC-106 and BHIC-108, the two Rise of the Modern West papers, and BHIC-114, History of Modern Europe-II. The minor rule cuts the other way. The prospectus bars a History Major from History minors, and it uses History as its own worked example, so BHIM 161, 162 and 163 are closed to BAFHI learners. BHIS 183, Traditions and Perception of Craft in Bharat, is a skill course rather than a minor and stays open.

Semester placement is where the documents go quiet. The prospectus lists the BAFHI Major without assigning codes to semesters, so the semester of each paper is read off the learner’s own registration record rather than assumed from the BAHIH timetable.

Nine disagreements found while reading IGNOU’s BAFHI documents, one of them on this site

  1. BHIC-110 for July 2025 and January 2026 prints 30 April 2026 and 31 October 2026, while BHIC-101 and BHIC-107 for the same cycles print 31 March 2026 and 30 September 2026.
  2. The same BHIC-110 booklet prints the assignment code BHIC-111/ASST/TMA/2025-26 on a BHIC-110 paper.
  3. Six of eleven BHIC booklet covers name BAHIH or the Honours programme only, although every one of those codes sits in the BAFHI Major.
  4. BHIC-101 for 2025-26 and the January 2025 BHIC-105 booklet describe their questions as testing concepts of Economics, a template carried over from another faculty; BHIC-107, BHIC-110 and BHIC-111 say History. BHIC-101 also prints “Iran Age” for Iron Age.
  5. The BHIC-110 booklet titles the course History of India 1757-1857; the prospectus gives History of India-VI (c. 1750-1857), and section 5.5 drops the closing bracket.
  6. Section 5 of the prospectus is headed as covering the first to sixth semesters, while its text says the courses listed run from the first to the fourth; fourth-year courses are still to be published.
  7. The BAFHI Programme Guide, as indexed online, counts 29 courses; the prospectus template yields 24 courses for the 120-credit Major. This build could not open the Guide to reconcile the two.
  8. IGNOU’s webservices assignment index lists eight BHIC codes with no link, and its BHIC-103 Hindi link opens the English file.
  9. This site’s own BAM page reports 30 April and 31 October as the School of Social Sciences pattern. That pair is taken from BAM booklets; for BHIC-101 and BHIC-107 it would put a BAFHI learner a month late, and the two pages are being reconciled.

How a BAFHI Handwritten Set Is Produced, One BHIC Code at a Time

Five stages take a BHIC code from a WhatsApp message to a signed bundle at the Study Centre.

  1. Code, cycle and cover read together. The code you send is matched to the booklet for your admission cycle, and the cover label is noted, so a BAHIH-only cover or the BHIC-110 date clash is flagged before writing starts.
  2. Marks turned into a writing plan. Forty marks of long answers, thirty of medium answers and thirty of short notes get pages in proportion, which keeps a 6-mark note from swallowing space a 20-mark essay needs.
  3. Answers drafted from the IGNOU blocks. Each answer is built from the course material for that BHIC code, with periods, dynasties and sources named where the question calls for them.
  4. Written by hand on A4. The fair copy goes onto ruled A4 in blue or black ink, one code per bundle, with the fields of the IGNOU assignment cover page layout filled except your signature.
  5. Couriered, read, signed, submitted. You read the set, sign the declaration and hand it in, following the counter-by-counter submission walkthrough, and you keep the receipt.

Matching Your Own Hand on a BHIC Set

Send a photo of a page you have written yourself and the handwritten set is matched to your handwriting at no extra charge. The useful photo is a full page of ordinary prose, not a signature and not a list, because letter joins, slant and line spacing only show across several lines.

Why bother? A learner submits ten BHIC papers over three years, often to the same Study Centre, and a Coordinator who sees one learner’s bundles in two unrelated hands will reasonably ask questions. Matching removes that mismatch. It does not change what the declaration on the cover asks of you.

Writing the BHIC set yourself is the stronger choice whenever the hours exist. The free step-by-step handwritten assignment method covers the sequence, the blank and filled front page PDF gives the cover, a finished sample IGNOU assignment shows spacing and numbering, the notes on assignment format and structure cover margins and headings, and the comparison of online and offline submission explains the two routes some Regional Centres allow.

Where BAFHI Learners Download the Official BHIC Questions

IGNOU’s Current Assignments search on ignou.ac.in is the place to start: type a BHIC code and it returns the booklet for the live cycle.

  1. Open the Current Assignments page and search by course code, such as BHIC-105, rather than by programme.
  2. Open the English or Hindi file that matches your registered medium.
  3. Read the validity line on page two, which names the admission cycles the booklet serves.
  4. If the code returns nothing, try the School of Social Sciences CBCS index for July 2025 to January 2026, where the BHIC files sit under the Honours column.

BAFHI has no listing of its own on that index. On the July 2025 to January 2026 page, eight BHIC lines carry no working link at all, which is why forum threads fill with learners asking when BHIC-103 or BHIC-104 will appear; several of those files are in fact reachable through the ignou.ac.in search. For July 2026 and January 2027, the BHIC-111 booklet was live when this page was checked, and the other codes were not read for that cycle. A booklet that is still missing weeks before a cut-off is reported through the iGRAM grievance route explained here.

After the BHIC Bundle Is Handed In: Receipt, Marks and Grade Card

The Study Centre receipt is the only proof of submission, so it is collected before leaving the counter. The BHIC booklets also ask learners to keep a photocopy, and they tell the Study Centre to return evaluated assignments and send the marks to the Student Evaluation Division in New Delhi.

Marks reach the record weeks later. The assignment status and result checker shows whether a BHIC code has been received, the guide to reading assignment marks explains the entries, and the assignment column of the grade card is where the 30 per cent lands. Learners chasing a whole-programme view use the grade card status lookup and, near the end, the final grade card explainer. Each lookup needs the nine- or ten-digit enrolment number. For converting grades, there are a percentage converter and a CGPA calculator, and the December 2026 date sheet finder shows when each BHIC paper is examined.

What Else BAFHI Learners Arrange Alongside a Handwritten Order

Most BAFHI learners who order a handwritten set are also preparing for the 70 per cent term-end paper, and the site keeps separate pages for that. The official blocks come through the IGNOU books download page, through eGyanKosh and through the older Gyankosh route. Condensed reading sits with the IGNOU study notes, the guide books sold online and the publisher help books. Revision leans on IGNOU guess papers, solved term-end question papers and the list of last year papers.

The fourth-year Project or Dissertation of 12 credits is a separate piece of work, handled on the IGNOU project reports page, with the proposal stage on the synopsis and proposal page and fees on the project service charges list.

Neighbouring four-year programmes have their own handwritten pages: the BAFHD page for the Hindi Major, the BAFEG page for the English Major and the BAFSK page for the Sanskrit Major. BAFHI graduates heading on to a history master’s will find the MAHI handwritten page for MA History.

Medium, older cycles and the Honours year. The service covers all mediums IGNOU issues the TMA paper in, at the same price.

BAFHI is taught in English and Hindi under the July 2026 Common Prospectus, and IGNOU publishes Hindi BHIC booklets beside the English ones, including BHIC-101, BHIC-104, BHIC-107, BHIC-109 and BHIC-112 for July 2025 and January 2026. A Hindi-medium BAFHI learner answers the Hindi booklet in Hindi, and the handwritten set follows that medium. Guidance on Devanagari presentation sits in the notes on writing IGNOU assignments in Hindi.

Any session is accepted, current cycle or older, including backlog courses, at the same ₹320 per subject. Each BHIC booklet states which admission cycles it serves, so a learner carrying an unfinished first-year paper confirms with the Study Centre whether to answer the old booklet or the current one, and re-registers first through the re-registration form walkthrough or, if the enrolment has lapsed, the readmission route. The Honours year is still unwritten: the prospectus has not listed fourth-year BAFHI courses.

Placing a BAFHI Order on WhatsApp: What to Send

Three messages on WhatsApp +91 93546 37830 are enough to place a BAFHI order.

  1. Send the BHIC and other codes exactly as printed on your record.
  2. Add your cycle, medium and handwriting photo.
  3. Confirm the quote and the courier estimate for your pin code, then pay.

Five details decide the order:

  • The rate is ₹320 per subject, hard copy only, with courier included in that price and no separate shipping charge.
  • No soft copy or PDF is sold.
  • There is no minimum order: one subject or fourteen, same rate.
  • Delivery depends on your pin code and is confirmed for your order before you pay. No figure is promised on this page.
  • Your enrolment number and signature stay with you; the cover page arrives filled except for them.

Sources, Method and Review Record for This BAFHI Page

Three kinds of fact sit on this page, and they are kept apart. The programme structure, credit totals, course titles, medium and the minor rule come from section 5 and section 5.5 of the July 2026 Common Prospectus, also summarised on the IGNOU prospectus guide. Submission dates, assignment codes, marks, word bands and cover labels come from IGNOU’s own BHIC booklets: BHIC-101, BHIC-107 and BHIC-110 for July 2025 and January 2026, BHIC-105 for January 2025 and BHIC-111 for July 2026 and January 2027, read in full on 26 September 2026, plus the cover pages of BHIC-102, 103, 104, 105, 109, 112 and 113. The price, the hard-copy format, courier, medium, session and handwriting terms are ignouproject.com’s own commercial terms and are not IGNOU’s.

Several questions stayed open. The BAFHI Programme Guide could not be opened, so its 29-course count is reported from an index and not reconciled. The prospectus assigns no semester to each BAFHI code. The admission table marks BAFHI’s examination mode as year wise even though section 5 divides the degree into semesters, and this build could not settle what that column means. Only BHIC-111 was read for the July 2026 and January 2027 cycle.
