Ten BANC Papers Shared With B.Sc. Honours Anthropology, Taken in a Different Semester Order
BSCFAN and the older BSCANH print the same BANC-101 to BANC-110 titles, yet place six of them in different semesters, and the 2025-26 anthropology booklets give a January batch 30 September rather than the 31 October many SOSS pages repeat. ignouproject.com checks your code, your batch and your booklet first, then writes each BANC paper by hand.
- 10 BANC Major papers, 60 credits
- Cut-offs: 30 Sep or 30 Apr
- Practical-manual questions in every booklet
- Foolscap with a 4 cm margin
- Matched to your handwriting
- Older sessions accepted
Delivery depends on your pin code and is confirmed for your order before you pay. No figure is promised on this page.
Quick answer. An IGNOU BSCFAN handwritten assignment is the Tutor Marked Assignment for one course of the Bachelor of Science (Anthropology) Major, answered by hand on foolscap sheets and handed to the coordinator of the Learner Support Centre as a hard copy; BSCFAN, a School of Social Sciences programme under IGNOU’s four-year undergraduate framework that admitted its first batch in January 2024, carries ten 6-credit Major papers, BANC-101 to BANC-110, inside a 120-credit degree, and ignouproject.com writes each one by hand at ₹320 per subject with courier included, in any medium IGNOU issues the paper in, for the current session or an older backlog one, matched free of charge to a photo of your handwriting; every BANC booklet holds three assignments worth 100 marks that decide 30 per cent of the course result, the 2025-26 booklets give January 2026 learners 30 September 2026 and July 2025 learners 30 April 2026, and the codes go to WhatsApp +91 93546 37830.
When BANC Papers Fall Due: 30 September 2026, Then 30 April 2027
January 2026 learners had 30 September 2026 printed on their BANC booklets, with a reported extension to 31 October 2026; July 2026 learners should plan to 30 April 2027.
Admitted January 2026
30 September 2026
Printed on the 2025-26 BANC-101, 102, 105 and 110 booklets and on the January-only BANC-108 booklet. CareerIndia reported on 2 October 2026 that IGNOU moved the December 2026 cut-off to 31 October 2026.
Admitted July 2026
30 April 2027
Expected, not yet printed on a BANC-101 to 110 booklet. The 2026-27 BANC-133 file from the same anthropology faculty prints 30 April 2027 for July 2026 learners and 30 September 2027 for January 2027 learners.
30 September 2026 is the last date IGNOU printed for BSCFAN learners admitted in January 2026, on every 2025-26 BANC booklet read for this page: BANC-101, BANC-102, BANC-105 and BANC-110 for the July 2025 and January 2026 sessions, and BANC-108 for January 2026 alone. The same files gave July 2025 learners 30 April 2026. A CareerIndia report of 2 October 2026 says IGNOU extended assignment submission for the December 2026 term-end examination to 31 October 2026, for distance and online learners alike; no IGNOU circular was located to confirm it. A January 2026 BSCFAN learner who missed 30 September 2026 therefore checks the extension on ignou.ac.in and with the Learner Support Centre before writing.
30 April 2027 is the date a July 2026 BSCFAN learner should plan around, though no 2026-27 booklet for BANC-101 to BANC-110 had been posted on ignou.ac.in by 13 October 2026. Two documents point to it. The 2025-26 BANC files gave the July 2025 batch 30 April 2026, and the 2026-27 BANC-133 booklet, written by the same anthropology faculty for BA Multidisciplinary learners, prints 30 April 2027 for July 2026 admissions. The BANC booklet for your own code settles it once it appears.
31 October 2024 was the cut-off on the January 2024 BANC-102 booklet, the first one IGNOU issued to a BSCFAN batch, and by the 2025-26 cycle the January-batch date on the BANC files had become 30 September. Nothing in the booklets explains the change. The practical consequence is that a BSCFAN learner who copies a date from a 2024 file, or from a classmate’s older paper, can be a month late without knowing it.
Other School of Social Sciences pages quote 31 October with confidence. That date is correct for the English sociology booklets (BSOC) and was correct for BANC in 2024. It is not what the 2025-26 anthropology files print. Extensions and fresh notices are tracked on the IGNOU assignment dates page of this site.
Three TMAs in Every BANC Booklet, and a 35 Per Cent Line Under Each
Assignments carry 30 per cent of the final course result and the term-end examination carries the remaining 70 per cent.
35 per cent, Grade D, is the minimum a BSCFAN learner needs in the assignment of each course, according to the BSCFAN Programme Guide, and the same 35 per cent is needed separately in the term-end examination. The guide does not let a strong examination cover a weak assignment. A failed assignment has to be resubmitted, while a passed one cannot be resubmitted to improve its grade, and a learner who misses the submission date cannot sit the term-end examination for that course.
Each 2025-26 BANC booklet sets three assignments adding to 100 marks. Assignment I asks two descriptive questions of about 500 words at 20 marks each. Assignment II asks two short notes of about 250 words at 10 marks each, plus five brief answers of about 75 words at 2 marks each on BANC-102, 105, 108 and 110. Assignment III carries the last 30 marks. BANC-101 is the exception in Assignment II: its second part offers three questions, of which any two are answered in about 150 words for 5 marks each.
Assignment III in a BANC booklet is the applied part, and the covering letter says it is based on the practical manual. The BSCFAN Programme Guide gives BANC-101 to BANC-106 a 2-credit practical component inside their 6 credits, delivered as a manual rather than a laboratory session, and states that questions from the manual appear in both the assignments and the examination. On the 2025-26 files Assignment III asks for somatometric instruments and somatoscopic observations of ten people (BANC-101), a short study plan with references to correct and arrange (BANC-102), and field methods for a tribal population near Sariska (BANC-105).
Assignment I and II alone come to roughly 1,875 words a paper. Ten Major papers, three per booklet, is the Anthropology load before the minors, the skill courses and Environmental Studies.
A BANC Model-Answer File Against a Foolscap Bundle: What the Learner Support Centre Takes
The Learner Support Centre takes the foolscap bundle. A downloaded file is reading material, nothing more.
A solved assignment is a typed reference file holding model answers to one course code’s questions for one session, such as the BANC-105 paper of July 2025 and January 2026. A BSCFAN learner opens one to see how a 20-mark answer on tribal administration before Independence might be planned. It carries no enrolment number, no signature and none of the learner’s own field readings, and section 14.7 of the July 2026 Common Prospectus allows typed assignments only for students with a valid disability certificate. A printout of a solved BANC file is therefore not a BSCFAN submission.
A handwritten assignment is the same BANC questions answered by hand, one course code per bundle, on foolscap sheets with a 4 cm left margin and at least four lines between answers, as the BSCFAN Programme Guide sets out. The guide asks for handwritten responses, not typed or printed ones, and sends the bundle only to the coordinator of the learner’s assigned Learner Support Centre, who acknowledges it on the remittance-cum-acknowledgement card. That bundle is what gets marked and later returned.
| Point | Solved assignment | Handwritten assignment |
|---|---|---|
| Format | Soft-copy file for one BANC code and session | Ink on foolscap, one BANC code per bundle |
| What the learner does | Reads it to plan the answers | Reviews it, signs the cover, hands it in |
| Accepted by the Learner Support Centre | No; typed work only under the disability provision | Yes, against the acknowledgement card |
| Assignment III readings | Someone else’s sample figures | Built around the observations you send |
| Who it suits | A learner who will write every answer personally | A learner short of writing hours before the cut-off |
| Price on this site | Listed with the reference files | ₹320 per subject, courier included |
On a phone the table slides left and right.
A learner who only wants the reading copy will find anthropology reference files listed among the IGNOU solved assignments. Everything below concerns the bundle that gets handed in.
Twelve Checks Made on Every BANC Paper Before It Is Posted
Your semester map, not BSCANH’s. BANC-103 and 104 are third-semester papers in BSCFAN and second-semester papers in B.Sc. (Honours) Anthropology, so your own record decides which booklet is due now.
BANC-111 to 114 questioned. Human Population Genetics, Anthropology in Practice, Forensic Anthropology and Anthropology of India are BSCANH cores outside the BSCFAN table.
BANC-131 is another paper. BANC-131 to 134 belong to BA Multidisciplinary. The titles sound close; the questions are different.
The applied 30 marks answered from the manual. Somatometry, fieldwork tools and prehistoric tool analysis come from the practical manual of BANC-101 to 106, not from the theory blocks.
Your readings stay yours. Where a booklet wants observations you recorded, such as the BANC-101 eye and nose readings on ten people, the answer is written around the figures you send.
Two-mark answers kept brief. The five short items in Assignment II sit near 75 words each. Longer answers cost sheets and earn nothing extra.
Diagrams drawn in ink. Anthropometric instruments, cranial landmarks and kinship charts are drawn and labelled by hand, never pasted in.
References in the asked order. When Assignment III wants references corrected and alphabetised, as BANC-102 does, the list follows that instruction exactly.
Foolscap and the 4 cm margin. Sheets, margin and spacing follow the Programme Guide, leaving the evaluator room to comment.
Code line as your booklet prints it. BANC 101/ASST/TMA/July 2025-January 2026 and BANC 108/ASST/TMA/January 2026 are both genuine. The cover takes yours.
Minor tested against the rule. A BANM-161 to 163 Anthropology minor on a BSCFAN record is raised with you, because minors must come from another discipline.
Three papers, ₹960. Simple multiplication. Courier sits inside each ₹320 whatever the pin code.
BANC Papers Still Unwritten for the December 2026 Examination?
Send each code exactly as your record prints it, your admission batch, the medium and a pin code. The rate is ₹320 per subject, hard copy only, with courier included in that price and no separate shipping charge.

Get a Total for My BANC PapersTen BANC Codes, Two Semester Maps: BSCFAN Against B.Sc. Honours Anthropology
Sixty of the 120 credits in the three-year BSCFAN degree belong to ten Major courses of 6 credits each, all BANC papers with their own assignments, under section 5 of the July 2026 Common Prospectus; a fourth year takes the Honours degree to 160 credits. The other 60 split into six 4-credit minor and vocational slots (24), a pair of ability enhancement courses (8), four skill courses (16), and one interdisciplinary and one value-added course of 6 credits each. Those parts add to 120, the stated total, and the ten BANC rows below add to 60; the table was used only after both sums held.

Semesters for BSCFAN follow the prospectus and the Programme Guide; BSCANH semesters follow section 7.6. The prospectus writes BANC 101; booklets write BANC-101 or BANC 101. Same course.
BSCFAN and BSCANH share BANC-101 to BANC-110 with identical titles, but the July 2026 Common Prospectus places six of those codes in different semesters. BSCFAN takes BANC-103 and 104 in Semester III, BANC-105 and 106 in Semester IV, BANC-107 and 108 in Semester V and BANC-109 and 110 in Semester VI, while BSCANH, the 148-credit B.Sc. (Honours) Anthropology in section 7.6, fits all ten into its first four semesters and adds BANC-111 to 114 later. A BSCFAN learner therefore reads the semester from the BSCFAN table and the Samarth record, never from a BSCANH timetable, even when the booklet cover names both programmes.
Several anthropology codes sit close to the BSCFAN list without belonging to it.
| Codes | What they are | On a BSCFAN record? |
|---|---|---|
| BANC-111, 112, 113, 114 | BSCANH cores: Human Population Genetics, Anthropology in Practice, Forensic Anthropology, Anthropology of India | No |
| BANE-141, 143, 144, 147 | BSCANH electives: Physiological Anthropology, Tribal Cultures of India, Visual Anthropology, Urban Anthropology | No |
| BANC-131 to 134 | BA Multidisciplinary anthropology: Anthropology and Research Methods, Fundamentals of Biological, of Social and Cultural, and of Archaeological Anthropology | No |
| BANM-161, 162, 163 | Anthropology minors offered to other Majors | No; minors must come from another discipline |
| BANS-183, 184 | Skill courses: Tourism Anthropology; Public Health and Epidemiology | Yes, as skill enhancement choices |

IGNOU’s BANC booklets have printed the assignment code in at least four forms since the first BSCFAN batch, so the string on a BSCFAN cover is copied from the booklet in hand. The January 2024 BANC-102 file printed BANC 102/ASST/TMA/ January 2024. For 2025-26, BANC-101 printed BANC 101/ASST/TMA/July 2025-January 2026, while BANC-102, 105 and 110 printed the sessions joined by “and”, as in BANC 105/ASST/TMA/July 2025 and January 2026. The single-session BANC-108 file printed BANC 108/ASST/TMA/January 2026, and the 2026-27 BAM file adds spaces: BANC-133/ASST /TMA /July 2026 and January 2027.
Ten Disagreements Across the BSCFAN Documents, This Website Included
- One code list, two semester maps. Sections 5.13 and 7.6 of the July 2026 prospectus print BANC-101 to 110 with the same titles and different semesters for BSCFAN and BSCANH.
- A cross-reference to the wrong pages. Section 5.13 sends BSCFAN learners to pages 159 to 161 for six course pools. Those pages sit inside section 4.2 for BSCM and print no minor or vocational list; the BA Major lists the sentence names are on pages 164 to 167.
- Honours wording in a Major section. The BSCFAN objectives call it “this Bachelor of Science Honours programmes”, the same paragraph printed for BSCANH in section 7.6.
- BANC-108 under two titles. The prospectus and the January 2026 booklet say Theories of Culture and Society; the BSCFAN Programme Guide says Theories of Society and Culture.
- Three cover labels. BSCFAN alone on the January 2024 BANC-102 and January 2026 BANC-108 files; BSCANH/BSCFAN on the 2025-26 BANC-101, 102 and 105 files; BSCANH alone on the 2025-26 BANC-110 file, though BANC-110 is a BSCFAN Semester VI paper.
- A January date that moved. 31 October 2024 on the January 2024 BANC-102 file; 30 September 2026 on the 2025-26 BANC files.
- Two calendars in one school. The English sociology booklets of the same School of Social Sciences give a January batch 31 October; the anthropology booklets give 30 September.
- One BANC paper set differently. BANC-101 asks for two 5-mark answers of 150 words in Assignment II, where the other 2025-26 BANC files ask for five 2-mark answers of 75 words.
- A guide at odds with itself. The BSCFAN Programme Guide places the value-added course in the first semester in its text and BEDSV-101 in Semester II in its table.
- On this website, pending correction. The BAM page says School of Social Sciences BAM booklets give a January batch 31 October. That holds for the sociology and public administration files it read, but the 2026-27 BANC-133 anthropology file prints 30 September, and the page is being corrected. Two older claims elsewhere on the site, a refund-backed acceptance assurance on the home page and a dispatch-time promise on the MMPC-001 page, also await correction, and neither is repeated here.
Where these documents clash, the booklet printed for your own code and session, and a written reply from your Learner Support Centre, outrank this page.
Turning a BANC Code List Into Signed Foolscap, Stage by Stage
Five stages. Only the first and the last need you.
- The codes are placed on the BSCFAN map. Each code is matched to its BSCFAN semester and to the common pool. A BANC-111, a BANC-131 or an Anthropology minor comes back to you as a question before any payment.
- Your batch picks the booklet. A January 2026 learner’s BANC-105 is written from the 2025-26 file with the 30 September 2026 date. A July 2026 learner’s paper waits for the 2026-27 file, and you are told if it has not appeared yet.
- Your own readings are collected first. If the Assignment III question needs readings or a locality of your own, those details are asked for in the first reply, so the applied answer reports your work rather than invented figures.
- The fair copy goes onto foolscap in your matched hand. Blue or black ink, the 4 cm margin, assignment labels copied from the booklet, and the cover page fields IGNOU asks for filled in except the signature. Your enrolment number in IGNOU’s format heads every sheet.
- The bundle travels, then you finish it. You read the answers, sign, and follow the route for handing assignments in at the study centre. Keep the acknowledgement card.
A Writing Sample for Anthropology Answers, Labels and Measurements Included
Send a photo of a page you have written yourself and the handwritten set is matched to your handwriting at no extra charge.
Anthropology answers are not only prose. A BANC-101 or BANC-104 paper carries numbers in centimetres, labelled sketches of instruments and skulls, and names such as Radcliffe-Brown or Malinowski. A sample page that shows your digits, your capital letters and a small labelled drawing gives far more to match than a paragraph of lowercase text. Hindi-medium learners should send a Devanagari page.
One page, shot square-on in daylight, is enough.
Does it matter? The same coordinator receives every BANC bundle you submit over three years, and one steady hand across them is what that person expects to see.
Writing the BANC papers yourself? With enough hours, that is the better route, and the free help here covers it: a free guide to writing a handwritten assignment yourself, a front page you can print, a completed assignment to compare layout with, the margins, headings and structure evaluators look for, and the rules for online and offline submission.

Forward My Tool ResultLocating the Current BANC Booklet When the Cover Says BSCANH
Search by course code. A cover reading BSCANH, BSCANH/BSCFAN or BSCFAN can all be right for a BSCFAN learner.
- Open IGNOU’s search. Go to the assignment download page on ignou.ac.in and type the code, for example BANC-105.
- Match the session in the file name. The 2025-26 anthropology files are named like BANC-105-July-25-Jan-26-E, and the January-only file BANC-108-E-Jan-26. A file without your session in its name or on its cover belongs to another cycle.
- Accept any of the three labels. If the code is one of the ten and the session line matches your slip, BSCANH on the cover does not make it the wrong paper.
- Read the submission table before the questions. It sits after the covering letter and gives one date per admission batch. Check the code against the ten in the table above; a BANC-112 or BANC-132 means the wrong file.
IGNOU’s older index on webservices.ignou.ac.in keeps the first BSCFAN files in a folder named FYUG/2024/Anthropology, useful for a backlog January 2024 paper. A booklet still missing close to the cut-off goes to IGNOU through the iGRAM grievance route, with a screenshot of the empty search. Study material is free: BANC course blocks to download, eGyanKosh for the BANC blocks and manuals, and the Gyankosh mirror when the first is slow.
From the LSC Acknowledgement Card to a BANC Grade on the Card
Acknowledgement first, online status next, grade last. The BANC booklets tell learners to keep a receipt and, where possible, a photocopy, and to ask for the evaluated assignments back once the Learner Support Centre has sent the marks to the Student Evaluation Division in New Delhi.
Weeks of blank status are normal. A whole cycle of it is when the acknowledgement card earns its place in your file.
Whether a BANC code has reached IGNOU shows up through the BANC submission status check on the assignment result page; a separate page decodes what each marks entry means. Each BANC assignment grade is posted to the assignment column of the grade card. Bachelor’s learners use the bachelor’s grade card lookup, with a note on how a BDP grade card is laid out, and the programme-wide grade card status fills in until the final grade card after the third year lists all ten BANC codes. For conversions there is a percentage converter and a CGPA calculator for the degree.
Exam Revision and Other Orders That Ride With a BSCFAN Set
The 70 per cent paper still has to be written in the hall. The December 2026 term-end date sheet gives each BANC examination its day, and practice comes from December 2026 guess papers, solved term-end papers and previous years’ BANC papers. For revision: short revision notes, help books arranged by course code and printed guide books.
The fourth year’s 12-credit project or dissertation is separate work, handled under IGNOU project and dissertation support, with proposal and synopsis formats, project service charges and a page on the B.Sc. Honours anthropology dissertation.
Neighbouring programmes have their own pages: the BAM handwritten page for BANC-131 learners, the BSCM handwritten page whose course pools fill prospectus pages 159 to 161, the older B.Sc. General programme, the sister four-year Major on the BAFSO handwritten page, and, for a BSCFAN graduate heading to a master’s degree, the MA Anthropology handwritten page.
Medium, session and the names around BSCFAN
BSCFAN is taught in English and Hindi, according to both the July 2026 Common Prospectus and the BSCFAN Programme Guide, but every BANC booklet read for this page was an English file, with E in its name, and no Hindi BANC booklet was located on ignou.ac.in on 13 October 2026. A Hindi-medium BSCFAN learner asks the Learner Support Centre which paper to answer, and answers in Hindi from a Hindi file where one exists.
The service covers all mediums IGNOU issues the TMA paper in, at the same price. For Devanagari layout, see the guide to presenting a Hindi-medium assignment.
Older sessions are handled too. A learner returning after a break usually completes re-registration for the next semester first, or readmission once the enrolment has lapsed, and then answers the booklet serving the session on the new slip.
On names: BSCFAN is the programme code of the four-year B.Sc. (Anthropology) Major; BANC is the course prefix on all ten of its Major papers; BSCANH is the older 148-credit B.Sc. (Honours) Anthropology that shares BANC-101 to 110 and adds BANC-111 to 114.
Ordering BSCFAN Papers by WhatsApp: Codes, Batch, Medium, Pin Code

What This BSCFAN Page Was Read From, and What Remains Open
From the July 2026 Common Prospectus: the ten BSCFAN codes, titles, credits and semesters in section 5.13, with its pointer to pages 159 to 161; section 5’s four-year credit template of 60 Major, 120 degree and 160 Honours credits; the minor rule and the BA Major pools on pages 164 to 167; the BSCANH structure in section 7.6 with its 148 credits; the BAM anthropology codes BANC-131 to 134; the BSCFAN row of the programme list, which records English and Hindi and an examination held year-wise; and the typed-assignment provision in section 14.7. A plain reader’s guide to the Common Prospectus is on this site.
From IGNOU’s own files, read on 13 October 2026: the BSCFAN Programme Guide; the English BANC-101, BANC-102 and BANC-110 booklets for July 2025 and January 2026 on ignou.ac.in; the BANC-105 booklet for the same sessions on webservices.ignou.ac.in; the January 2026 BANC-108 booklet; the January 2024 BANC-102 booklet from the FYUG index; and the 2026-27 BANC-133 booklet for BAM. Dates, marks, word limits, cover labels, code strings, paper size and the pass mark come from these.
From the press, flagged as such: the extension of the December 2026 assignment cut-off to 31 October 2026, reported by CareerIndia on 2 October 2026 and not confirmed here from an IGNOU circular.
Commercial terms set by ignouproject.com: a flat ₹320 for each subject with postage absorbed, paper copies only, any medium or session, handwriting matched without a fee, orders of any size, and delivery estimated per pin code rather than promised. IGNOU has no part in setting them.
What this research could not settle. No 2026-27 booklet for BANC-101 to 110 had been posted by 13 October 2026, so the July 2026 date of 30 April 2027 is inferred from the BANC-133 file and the previous cycle. No 2025-26 booklet was found for BANC-103, 104, 106, 107 or 109, and no Hindi BANC file was found for any session. The Programme Guide carries no publication date and parts of its tables could not be read cleanly, and the prospectus says fourth-year course details will be provided subsequently.

BSCFAN Assignment Questions in the Order Learners Raise Them
What is the last date to submit IGNOU BSCFAN assignments for December 2026?
30 September 2026 is the date printed on the 2025-26 BANC booklets for learners admitted in January 2026. CareerIndia reported on 2 October 2026 that IGNOU extended the December 2026 cut-off to 31 October 2026, so confirm that on ignou.ac.in and with your Learner Support Centre before relying on it.
Has IGNOU released the BSCFAN BANC assignments for July 2026 and January 2027?
Not as of 13 October 2026. No 2026-27 booklet for BANC-101 to BANC-110 had been posted, although the 2026-27 BANC-133 file for BA Multidisciplinary was live and printed 30 April 2027 for July 2026 learners. Search the code again on the IGNOU assignment page before you start writing.
Which course codes does a BSCFAN learner write assignments for?
Ten Major papers, BANC-101 to BANC-110, each worth 6 credits. Add the minor, vocational, skill, ability and value-added courses on your record, each with its own booklet. The Samarth record shows which fall due this semester.
Can an IGNOU BSCFAN assignment be typed or printed?
No, unless you hold a valid disability certificate, the one case in which section 14.7 of the July 2026 Common Prospectus permits typed work. Otherwise the BSCFAN Programme Guide expects answers written by hand on foolscap.
Is a BSCFAN solved assignment the same as a handwritten assignment?
No. The solved file is something a learner reads before writing, while the handwritten assignment is the BANC paper itself, inked, signed and given to the Learner Support Centre, and only that bundle earns marks.
Can a printout of a BANC solved PDF be handed in?
No. A printout is typed work with no signature and none of your own Assignment III readings, and IGNOU accepts typed assignments only under the disability provision. Use the file to plan, then write the answers by hand.
My BANC booklet says BSCANH on the cover. Is it the wrong paper?
Not necessarily. If the code is one of BANC-101 to 110 and the session line matches your slip, a BSCANH or BSCANH/BSCFAN cover is the right paper; the 2025-26 BANC-110 file names BSCANH alone. A BANC-111 to 114 booklet is BSCANH only.
What is Assignment III in a BANC booklet, and does it need my own observations?
Assignment III is the 30-mark applied part, based on the practical manual, and some versions need your own readings. BANC-101 asked for somatoscopic observations of ten people on the 2025-26 booklet, so those figures should come from you.
How many marks and words does each BANC question carry?
Assignment I has two 20-mark questions of about 500 words, Assignment II has two 10-mark notes of about 250 words and five 2-mark answers of about 75 words, and Assignment III carries 30 marks. BANC-101 replaces the five short answers with two 5-mark answers of about 150 words.
What is the minimum pass mark for a BSCFAN assignment?
35 per cent, Grade D, in the assignment of each course, per the BSCFAN Programme Guide. The term-end examination needs its own 35 per cent, and a failed assignment must be resubmitted.
Is BANC-131 the same paper as BANC-101?
No. BANC-131 Anthropology and Research Methods belongs to BA Multidisciplinary; BANC-101 Introduction to Biological Anthropology belongs to the BSCFAN Major. Write the code your record prints.
Is the BSCFAN assignment available in Hindi?
Hindi is a listed medium, but no Hindi BANC booklet was located on 13 October 2026. Ask your Learner Support Centre which paper a Hindi-medium learner should answer, and answer in Hindi from a Hindi file where one exists.
How much does an IGNOU BSCFAN handwritten assignment cost?
Each paper costs ₹320, and that figure already covers courier. Three BANC papers come to ₹960 and all ten to ₹3,200, whatever the medium or session.
How long does delivery of a BSCFAN set take?
That depends on the pin code, so no figure is given here. The estimate for your address is confirmed before you pay, and it is worth asking early when a cut-off is close.
Can an older-session or backlog BANC paper be ordered?
Yes. Any session is taken at ₹320 per subject, provided you name the session on your current slip, because the questions, the code line and the date all change between booklets.
My Regional Centre wants a scanned upload. What happens then?
Scan the paper set after it reaches you and upload that scan in the way your centre asks. Because no soft copy or PDF is supplied, the upload always begins with the signed sheets in your hand.
How can a BSCFAN learner check that a submitted BANC paper was received?
Look up the enrolment number on IGNOU’s assignment status service a few weeks after handing the bundle in. If no entry appears, the acknowledgement card and a photocopy, both of which the BANC booklets recommend keeping, are your evidence.
Will the handwritten BSCFAN set look like my own writing?
It is written to match the photo you send, at no extra charge. A page that shows your digits, capitals and a small labelled drawing, or Devanagari for a Hindi set, gives the closest match.
What should a learner check before paying anyone for a handwritten assignment?
Five checks apply to any provider, this one included. The answers should be written from the booklet for your own code, session and medium; the price per subject, and any postage, should be stated before you pay; nobody should promise marks or acceptance; no delivery date should be fixed before your pin code is known; and the cover declaration should be left blank for you to sign once you have read the answers.
