Facts most fee pages miss

  1. For the December 2026 TEE the project fee is a separate payment. SED’s guidelines of 17 September 2026 say it is accepted only through your Samarth Portal login, the last date is 30 November 2026, and no extension will be given.
  2. Paying again for a project course you have already passed does not bring fresh marks. The same guidelines say those marks will not be considered and the fee will be neither refunded nor adjusted.
  3. The fee receipt is generated automatically and needs no stamp from the University. SED asks you to enclose it with the copy of your project submitted at the Regional Centre or at SED, IGNOU headquarters.
  4. The fee table for learners admitted till the December 2022 admission cycle lists Rs 200 per practical or lab course and names no project evaluation fee. If you joined before January 2023, check what your own Samarth form asks for before paying anything.
  5. The Rs 300 or Rs 500 split follows the project’s credits, never the level of the programme: MESP-085 of the PG Diploma in Pre-Primary Education (16 credits) and DECE-004 of the DECE diploma (8 credits) both fall in the Rs 500 band, while MLIP-002 of the MLIS master’s (4 credits) falls in the Rs 300 band.
  6. Under the MMPP-001 guidelines it is IGNOU that pays the project guide a token honorarium, and a guide may supervise no more than five students at a time.

Send Your Own Draft, Get It Back Marked Against Your Course Rules

IGNOU’s project portal states that an incomplete project report is not considered for evaluation, and the MMPP-001 guidelines list a missing signature, an unsigned bio-data or an incomplete proposal as reasons a proposal is not accepted. Each of these can be found before you post anything. Our correction service reads your draft against the rules of your own course code.

What we check in your synopsis

  • Every component your course lists, for example introduction, rationale, objectives, methodology and limitations for MMPP-001, or the sixteen components of Table 1 in the MESP-001 Handbook.
  • Objectives stated neutrally, with verbs such as to study, to analyse or to investigate, as the MMPP-001 guidelines ask.
  • A methodology that names the design, the data source, the sample and sampling method, the tools and the statistical tests for each objective.
  • Proforma boxes filled, and signed and dated by you and your guide where the form asks for it.
  • Guide details that fit your programme’s eligibility rule, and the guide’s bio-data where your course requires it.
  • The right address: the Regional Director for MMPP-001 and MESP-001, the Programme Coordinator for MLIP-002.

What we check in your report

  • The title exactly as approved; the MMPP-001 guidelines allow no change at submission.
  • The chapter order your course prescribes, with results tied back to each objective.
  • The approved proposal, proforma, guide’s bio-data and certificate of originality bound in where your course requires them.
  • Page numbers that match the contents page, and the paper size and spacing your guidelines set.
  • Complete references and annexures, including the questionnaire.
  • The fee receipt and hall ticket copy ready to enclose, as the SED notices ask.
See how the synopsis and report correction works

You remain the author of your synopsis and report. IGNOU’s evaluator decides approval; a correction makes your draft complete and consistent with the guidelines, and does not decide the result.

IGNOU Project Fees: Rs 300 or Rs 500, Set by Credits

The IGNOU project evaluation fee is charged per project course and depends on the credits of that course. The rule has applied from the January 2023 admission cycle: Rs 300 for project work of up to 4 credits and Rs 500 for project work above 4 credits. The Common Prospectus July 2026 prints the same amounts on page 27, next to the Rs 200 examination fee for each theory course. SED repeats them in its guidelines for the December 2026 TEE.

IGNOU Project Fee Checker OFFICIAL-RULE

Built only from the SED guidelines of 17 September 2026 and the Common Prospectus July 2026. It tells you the amount and the rules; it cannot check your Samarth account.

Typing narrows the list below.

When did you take admission?
Have you already passed this project course?

Choose your project course and press Check my fee.

How it decides. If the project course has 4 credits or fewer the fee is Rs 300; above 4 credits it is Rs 500 (SED item 12; Prospectus page 27). Learners admitted till the December 2022 cycle are shown the SED table for their cycle, which names no project evaluation fee. If you have already passed the course, the checker tells you not to pay, because SED item 2 says marks will not be considered and the fee is not refunded. For the December 2026 TEE it adds the Samarth-only rule and the 30 November 2026 last date (SED item 1) and the receipt rule (items 6 and 11).

December 2026: The Project Fee Goes Through Samarth by 30 November

For the December 2026 term-end examination, IGNOU has separated the project, practical and internship fee from the theory examination form. A Registrar (SED) notice published by IGNOU’s Regional Centre Noida addresses all eligible learners of ODL and Online programmes: fee submission has commenced, the last date is 30 November 2026, and no fee will be accepted after it. The Common Prospectus still says the fee is paid along with the TEE form; for this session the SED guidelines are the later and more specific instruction.

  1. Confirm you are eligible: your registration for the project course is valid and not time barred, and you have completed the minimum period of study (SED item 3).
  2. Log in to your student account on the IGNOU Samarth Portal at ignou.samarth.edu.in. No other mode of payment is accepted (SED item 1).
  3. In your login, submit the fee for the project course you are submitting and for no other course. Fees paid for courses you are not eligible for are not refunded (SED item 4).
  4. Pay through the payment gateway shown in the portal. Do not use a chargeback to get a fee back: SED says results are withheld or cancelled in that case (item 9).
  5. Save the receipt. It is generated automatically and needs no authentication by the University (item 11).
  6. Enclose the receipt with the project you submit at the Regional Centre or at SED, IGNOU headquarters, or upload it with your report where the online portal asks for it (item 6; online project portal, June 2026).
Queries about the fee form or a missing control number go to termendexam@ignou.ac.in or 011-29572209 (SED item 13). Project report status queries go to projects@ignou.ac.in. Our WhatsApp line cannot see or change anything in your Samarth account.

The last date for uploading the report itself is announced separately for each session; see the December 2026 project submission last date and how and where to submit an IGNOU project. After submission, follow the IGNOU project status guide.

If your programme or course code is not listed, it is either outside this prospectus (for example an Online programme or one admitted through a separate notice) or not a project course: check your programme guide, or send us the code on WhatsApp. For codes, also see IGNOU project course codes and the IGNOU projects hub.

Which Service Fits the Stage You Are At

A student with no topic needs something different from a student whose report is already written. Answer two questions and the planner below shows the next official step and the service that fits it, with its price.

This tool needs JavaScript. If the button does not respond, refresh the page or open it in Chrome.

Service Stage Planner PLANNING-AID

A planning aid. IGNOU does not prescribe these stages; it shows the order in which the official steps usually come and which of our services fits each one. It does not predict approval.

Do you have a guide who meets your programme’s rule?
Is your IGNOU project fee paid for the session you are submitting in?

Choose your stage and press Show my next step.

How it decides. Each stage is matched to the next official step (topic, synopsis to the address your guidelines name, approval, data, report, submission) and to the service from our price list that works on what you already have. If you have no eligible guide yet, it adds guide eligibility guidance first, because the proforma needs the guide’s signature. If your report is near submission and the fee is unpaid, it reminds you of the Samarth fee and its 30 November 2026 last date for the December 2026 TEE. Prices shown are the ones on this page.

For the synopsis itself, read the IGNOU synopsis format and proposal guide, how to write project objectives and how synopsis approval works. If a synopsis came back, start with what to do after an MBA synopsis is rejected or the MCOP-001 rejection guide. For the report, see the IGNOU project report and dissertation guide, whether a project can be handwritten, changing a topic after approval and IGNOU project viva questions.

Who Pays the Guide, and What the Guide Signs

Under the MMPP-001 project guidelines of IGNOU’s School of Management Studies, the guide is paid a token honorarium by IGNOU, and one guide may supervise at most five students at a time. The student is not asked by IGNOU to pay the guide. The synopsis is to be prepared in consultation with the guide, and the guide’s bio-data must be signed in original by the guide and dated. Other courses set their own guide rules, so read your programme’s guidelines or IGNOU project guide eligibility by programme; for MCom students, the role of the MCOP-001 supervisor covers the M.Com side.

Can You Buy a Finished IGNOU Project? What the Originality Certificate Says

Search Console shows students reaching this page with searches such as “ignou project buy online”. IGNOU’s own rules answer that question. A certificate of originality, signed and dated by the student and the guide, is bound into the MMPP-001 report, and the SED online portal asks for an originality certificate signed by both wherever it applies. Those signatures state that the work is the student’s own. IGNOU’s Regional Centre Noida has also advised students to beware of unauthorised agents, websites and WhatsApp groups that claim to provide university documents or services.

What you can pay for is help with your own work: correction of your draft, methodology and statistics guidance on your own data, formatting, printing and dispatch. That is what the price list on this page covers.

Official Papers vs Study Reference Files

Keep the two kinds of paper apart. Official documents come from IGNOU or from you and your guide, and they are what IGNOU checks. Study reference files show layout and order; they are never submitted.

OFFICIAL: what IGNOU checks

  • Your programme’s project guidelines, from eGyanKosh or your School’s page on ignou.ac.in. Start from IGNOU project guidelines by programme or the IGNOU project download page.
  • The proforma for approval of the project proposal, filled and signed by you and your guide.
  • The guide’s bio-data signed in original, where your course asks for it.
  • The approval letter or proforma returned by your Regional Centre.
  • The certificate of originality, signed and dated by you and your guide.
  • Your Samarth project fee receipt and a copy of your hall ticket, which SED’s June 2026 exam form guidelines say lists the project course code.

STUDY REFERENCE: not for submission

For learners admitted from the January 2023 cycle, IGNOU charges Rs 300 for a project course of up to 4 credits and Rs 500 for a project course above 4 credits, per course (SED guidelines, 17 September 2026; Common Prospectus July 2026, page 27). The theory examination fee of Rs 200 per course is separate.

How do I pay the IGNOU project fee for December 2026?

Log in to your student account on the IGNOU Samarth Portal and submit the project, practical and internship fee form by 30 November 2026. SED accepts it only through Samarth and has said no extension will be given. Keep the auto-generated receipt and enclose it with your report.

What is the DECE project fee?

DECE-004 carries 8 credits in the Common Prospectus July 2026, so it falls in the above-4-credit band: Rs 500 for learners admitted from January 2023. A December 2023 IGNOU Online DECE page states the same Rs 500 for the DECE04 project report. More on the course in the IGNOU DECE-4 project guide.

Do I have to pay my guide or supervisor?

Under the MMPP-001 guidelines, IGNOU pays the guide a token honorarium, and the guidelines ask nothing from the student for the guide. Other courses publish their own guide rules in their guidelines.

How much do you charge for synopsis and project correction?

Rs 1,000 to correct your own synopsis and Rs 2,000 to correct your own project report or dissertation, for every IGNOU programme including diplomas and certificates. Consultation, literature review support, statistics help, questionnaire support, guide guidance, formatting and printing are quoted on WhatsApp.

What is the certificate of originality in an IGNOU project?

It is a short certificate, signed and dated by the student and the guide, stating that the project is the student’s original work. In MMPP-001 it is bound into the report with the approved proposal, proforma and guide’s bio-data, and the SED online portal asks for it wherever it applies.

Can I buy a ready IGNOU project?

IGNOU asks you and your guide to sign that the work is your own, and its Regional Centre Noida warns students against agents and WhatsApp groups that claim to provide university documents or services. A report you did not do cannot truthfully carry that certificate. Help with your own work, such as correction, guidance, formatting and printing, is what this page offers.

Where do I send my project report?

That depends on your course: for example MMPP-001 reports go to the Registrar (SED) at IGNOU Maidan Garhi, while some courses submit at the Regional Centre, and many sessions open an online upload portal. See the IGNOU project submission guide.

Questions Students Ask Before Paying

How much is the IGNOU project fee?
